Just right for our family!
As well as being a lovely big size this frig does all we ask of it - plenty of room in the freezer as well as frig compartment, quiet, keeps everything nice and cold and is very easy to clean. Can get large trays in as well.
My only complaint would be that we need to remove the door shelves to take the crisper out to clean.

Keeps food cold!
This fridge is a godsend! We recently upgraded from a very old an unreliable box, and we have noticed immediate improvements. Some smart features such as the drinks chilling feature for the freezer with an alarm so you don't forget! Good lighting and great seals keeps my food cold and fresh for longer.

Very Good
Super easy to clean, the temperature is very good and easy to use, especially being in Melbourne when the weather is hot it's hot and when it's cold it's cold we can alter the temperature and also when we go away on holiday we can put on power save. It is really quiet. I wanted to buy a double door but it couldn't fit in my kitchen so this was the next best one and it is fabulous to use.

Westinghouse 529L Bottom Mount Refrigerator WBE5314SA-R
Our 30 year old Westinghouse fridge finally died. Replaced it with a new Westinghouse Bottom Mount fridge. Large interior fridge capacity. Glass helves easy to clean. Like the bottle rack to store our water bottles, soft drink etc..Lots of light in the fridge. The freezer at the bottom is fantastic, except the pull-out drawers use up some space therefore smaller than our standard old, top-mount fridge. Can't just chuck in food to freeze - need to place it in and if I find a spot for it.... Learning to adapt. I noticed some of my food freezes slightly when stored right at the back of the fridge. Not very happy. Not sure if it's faulty.

Bit disappointed. Very loud.
Bought this as wanted a huge fridge with LH hinge door which are few and far between. Have had for a couple of weeks now and so far am a bit disappointed.
The main thing, which has been mentioned already, is the noise of this thing. WOW the compressor running is LOUD! It probably runs maybe 1/3 of the time but it's definitely very noticeable. And this is coming from an old 20 odd year old Phillips fridge that served us well and was whisper quiet compared to this thing.
I really don't know how this issue could be passed OK and the fridge developed and manufactured with this.
Apart from this issue, everything else is great. Looks good with plenty of room and features.

Also 7 months old & stopped working
Bought new on August 24 2016 and stopped working 4 days ago, alarms beeping and no longer cold. I've had 5 Westinghouse fridges over 30 years and never had problems like this one, lots of food in bin now, obviously this is a known fault and must be rectified immediately. Now awaiting tech to come in another 2 days

7 month's old and not working
I liked the fridge until it stopped working. The fridge started beeping a week ago and I noticed the freezer had defrosted, the next day the fridge stopped working. Wednesday a repair mam came out and aboard it was the compressor. Still waiting on part, no spare appointments to repair it this week, so will have to wait until next week. Two weeks without a fridge, not what you expect for a relately new fridge from a supposedly good brand. Very unhappy.

Very noisy and runs excessivly
Very upset with this fridge. Very noisy when it runs. It runs for 50min and off for 20min. Complained to Harvey Norman within 12 hours asking for refund. They said no and suggested to get a tech out and said it would cost $140 if there was nothing wrong. Would not recommended this fridge, this one is crap. Harvey Norman after sales extremely disappointing. I wanted to replaced it with something else within 24 hours. Big mistake buying it. Noise is LOUD.

very noisy and problems
We bought this fridge 2 months ago at the Good guys. Unfortunately this fridge is very noisy. As we live in an small open plan house, the fridge is very present. A technician came to fix the fluting sound by replacing the fan. But the noisy sound is still there and after his visit the fridge made even more noises. Not sure what is normal but this fridge is also running for hours. I think 90% of the day.
I wrote another email to the Good Guys that the issue with the noise is not solved but didn't received an answer anymore. I also asked the Go...Read more

The Good and Bad but mostly Bad
This is one noisy fridge we can hear it all over house! It replaced a 15 year old Westinghouse and I was surprised at the difference in this fridge, it just should be so much better in every way but of course its now manufactured in Thailand, what a shame. The lady at Good Guys told me she drove the Orange to make sure she bought a fridge regardless of needing it before the factory was closed.
The bad is noisy, not enough options for shelf positions, minimal temperature difference options, the door doesn't close by itself, door is hard to op...Read more
en after immediately closing, no meat keeper, no chill zone, crisper too small and wonky when opening. Small A5 size user manual with terribly small print and multiple models displayed making it difficult hard to read. All of these negatives were all positives in the previous Westinghouse fridge. Ice cube tray I found an interesting design, doesn't really work but sometimes it kinda works a bit. Ripped the cover off the lockable compartment useless for us, should be an option. Wow why did I buy this fridge?? The good is that it looks good and is easy to clean and its a bottom mount that I really like after having a top mount. I like the nice long handles on both fridge and freezer. After adjustments the temperature is now right for us. Really miss the chill zone for cold drinks. I was annoyed when comparing to find the difference between the 5300 and 5314 was nothing but cosmetic for different retailers to make it appear that they are selling different models I guess. Also advertised as containing a 185L freezer sounded nice and big but actually is only a 145L freezer. Purchased from The Good Guys, included delivery and installation and take away the old fridge. Installation consisted of, take off the outside packaging, put it in the space, attach the handles and start it up. After reading user manual we had to make adjustments to the level of the fridge and remove all the styrofoam packaging that was still left in the fridge. Good Guys wanted to charge $69 for this service. I have sort of gotten use to all the noises it makes but in conclusion I will say seeya Westinghouse!Similar opinion? Beautiful Fridge
Beautiful fridge purchased from Harvey Norman very quiet and spacious. Looks very sturdy. Just wish the ice cube tray was a bit bigger and there's no meat tray. Bought on boxing day sale the fridge wasn't discounted so I had to haggle price from $1588 down to $1400 plus a $150 cash back from Westinghouse. Then $50 for delivery which brings price to $1300 incl delivery. Really annoyed me when I saw the price the following week at the good guys for $1250 plus get a $100 pay less card grrrr.

Good size fridge
I bought this fridge for its bigger capacity after having a smaller Westinghouse for 10 years. Capacity-wise it is great with adjustable shelving, and three good sized freezer drawers. I find the vegetable crisper a bit small and the drawer doesn't always slide out easily. There is no meat drawer which is a bit of a pain.
The fridge appears to keep food fresh and maintains its temperature.

Problem problem problem!!!
Model WBE5314SA. My new fridge which I only bought brand new 7 months ago has had the cooling stop working. Repair guy came to fix it twice under warranty, although he was unable to identify what the problem was. After these visits he was going to come back a third time but instead I demanded a replacement fridge through the Electrolux customer liaison team yesterday. Broken fridge was replaced today with another brand new one of the exact model. This fridge has been plugged in for 11 hours and is still not cold at all!!!! Looks like the same p...Read more
roblem has happened with this brand new fridge before I even got to use it. Actually feel like I'm in a nightmare! Extremely angry right now. And now that I've read other reviews about it, I would advise people to stay away from this model.1 comment

Hi there, my Westinghouse WBE5314SA handles have fallen off and apart from the handle inserts all breaking and not being able to get replacements, a couple of the little black lugs which are attached to the inside of the fridge doors have snapped. I’ve been told to replace handles which will cost approx $180 even though the only thing wrong with handles is the broken inserts but you can’t replace the broken black lugs without having to purchase new doors.! I’m livid. Other fridge makers sell the door handle inserts but none would fit our handles. Very upsetting. Thought of trying to remove door skin and put a screw and washer on the inside of door but not sure how door skin is attached, whether attached with screws or glued. Worried about cracking door skin if glued. Also the fridge cyclic defrost isn’t working and I’ve been told needs a new logic board, fridge coilsare freezing up and defrost timer not working.

Hi all,
We have a Westinghouse fridge freezer Model WABE5314SA.
Just of late it has started to beep even when all the doors are closed, just
wondering if anyone may know as to what the cause of this beeping may be?
Many thanks,
Andy
David w.asked
Can you please tell me how many watts this fridge is please.
1 answer
There should be a label inside the fridge somewhere with all its specification details on it. A magnifying lens might be useful to read the very small print. Somewhere within it should state tohe wattage. Or, go to the manufacturer's website.
