It's supposed to be a good card but the system is poorly designed. Legal team is horrible at its job to make sure all aspects are covered. 10% off monthly offer is not working because their email system is down. Overseas customer service team has no clue what's going on--lack of training or understanding the product
Technical issues signing up Fail.
Tired to submit application on 3 different internet connections over a coures of a day. With a total of 20 times I wasn't able to submit an application with out the following error.
"Unfortunately we are experiencing technical difficulties and are unable to process your application at this time.
Please save your details so you can return and resubmit your application a little later."

My Woolworths credit card is earning me Qantas Frequent Flyer points & is easy to use.I plan to use my points for travel to places on my bucket list.Life is for living and I plan to make it count.

Decent Rewards, Shocking Service
I got this card several years ago when HSBC were the bankers. No problems, good rewards and not many times I needed to contact them. Then Macquarie took over and it has been unpleasant. We all had to have a new cards, which meant contacting a myriad of direct debit people, and since that time they have failed to spot three bogus purchases requiring three repeat performances. Read moreng this number". Didn't try very hard chaps. So now I am condemned to phone the dreaded call centre which, despite them contacting me, has no idea what the call is about. As a senior I have a button dumb phone which cannot accept their confirmation codes. This means each call is a painful advice of "mother's maiden name etc etc etc etc" repeated many times as it is never resolved first time and is, of course, scarcely understandable since I am hard of hearing and ethnic voices are varied in clarity. I finally ditched this card for Direct Debits and transferred them to another, no annual fee card. It means I miss out on points but not on hours of frustration. I did, however, get admiring glances fro a Belgian waitress in Bruge who had never seen a card not require a PIN. Woolworths charge me $47 a year for "servicing the card". Why? I have spent thousands with them; Coles card is free. Virgin is free. CBA card is free. What a Joke!!!
Despite the bad reviews I decided I would still sign up with Woolworths Credit Cards. After filling in all the necessary information I was supplied with a visa card with a credit limit of $2,500. I was attempting to replace an expensive c/c which charges $300 p/a which I no longer need (credit limit $30,000). Upon realising the very low credit limit I applied for a slightly larger limit as my credit rating for the past 45 years has been exemplary. I was politely refused.I rang to cancel my card (& supplementary) - apparently no-one cares what your credit rating is. Bye bye Woolworths - the reviews are all correct. Do not touch them with a barge pole.

Very poor customer service - resolved
I wanted to do a balance transfer which their only option for my bank was issuing a cheque, and it never arrived.
After almost 3 weeks of follow up and many phone calls, a supervisor told me that the information I had been given so far by previous representatives and supervisors was incorrect!
And I had to cancel my request. What a waste of time and energy!
P.S. I can confirm that somone from the complaints team has contacted me and they helped to issue me a compensation and resolve this issue.

Great card, great points!
Very satisfied with the rewards, incredibly helpful with the cost of living these days to have lovely bonus from time to time. A great idea, thanks Woolworths!

Terrible customer service, when ask to speak to a manager they wont transfer you. I have received 5 calls from them in the last 4 days despite making payment earlier than I was supposed to, I have complained for many years about receiving these calls and each time I am told that this will not happen again and low and behold after speaking to them yesterday, I get another call today

Had a 24 month balance transfer set up- 14 months into the transfer they said it was only for 14 months....

I'm very satisfied with the point system. Not only do I get my points turned into Qantas point, but I have also received several Woolworth's vouchers. It pay to scan your card every time you shop.

the worst credit card I've ever used
Everytime I made an online transaction with a new merchant they blocked my card despite me answering security questions correctly. Then I can't use the card even with Eftpos til I call them to confirm the geniune transaction which most of the time I can't do it when I need to use card due to waiting to long on the phone to get connected with an agent. They can't even block a suspicious transaction/merchant from accessing my card. Instead they cancel my card and say they will send another card with different number in 5 business days, i.e. I don't have card to use in that period and it's the only card i have. Also my diect debit is messed up and I am charged dishonor fee.

Great Card
I have had my Woolies credit card for quite a few years and every inquiry has be handled with a very professional manner. They are also very quick to spot potential fraudulent transactions against your card with notification straightaway.

Not only is the application process painful but the customer service received is below average when you do try and talk to them about issues. Don't call the Rewards team as they give you WRONG information!!!
A few things to point out:
1) the points are automatically transferred after 4 months which is not easy to find on their website (found out after getting the card otherwise this fact alone would have stopped me dead in my tracks) and even then it's only in lots of 4000 points so if you have excess and cancel the card then too bad so sa...

Long wait....go elsewhere!
I read the reviews after applying for a Woolies card. So, thinking there might be a delay, I applied for another credit card from another company . Lo and behold I received approval AND my card within 7 days from the other company! Woolies card nowhere to be seen! Even though they sent a letter asking me to verify my ID and then my "card will be sent"....so I called Woolies, and was told by the operator that my application was still being assessed....a month later! :)
So I told him to cancel my application....complete waste of time!
Thank you to the other people who reviewed and warned me of the very long delay! I am very happy with my new credit card (from the other company!!!!)

I applied for my woolworths platinum credit card which is approved, sent payslips and I got the card. That process was fine.
Waited for 5 days after card arrival, had to call to unlock my card, they unlocked it.

I have never experienced such terrible customer service and lack of communication from a credit card company. 6 weeks after initial approval I am STILL WAITING for my balance transfer and credit card to be approved. Terrible customer service and turn around times
Customer service is absolutely disgusting.
Applied for a balance transfer credit card and was asked for proof of income, so i supplied immediately. 2 days later, I'm asked for a copy of my Notice of Assessment to further prove my income (dont know why), so I supplied immediately. 3 days later, they advise they need to call my payroll to further confirm my income - ridiculous, but they did it and still weren't happy. Very misleading... Buyer BEWARE!!
I applied for my woolworths platinum credit card which is approved and I got the card. That process was fine. I joined because I got an email saying I will get 20000 rewards points to use before Christmas. The email was received on the 7/11. By the time the application process went through and I made my first purchase it was about the 25/11, the fine print says that it takes 8 weeks to get your bonus rewards ie $100 voucher so definitely wont be getting before Christmas.

Worst Customer Service Ever
The contact centre is ran by Filipinos whom dont even respond to your questions correctly, I submitted all my payslips since October and still no avail.
When I rang to question was told need to resubmit - and I did using pdf and still no response.
these front-end service for the call centre then the actual dept that selects applications for reviews and they are whom I want to talk with - I work during business hours and never can speak with anyone to work around this.
Whats the point of telling me my application is pending and is approved waiting upon payslip documentation - when the team in charge arent processing or emailing me back?
Rubbish service may have to stop shopping at Woolworths

Absolutely a disgrace
Took over a month, they closed the application . Stated it had lapsed. Is there call centre overseas ? Told different information each time I called . Staff seem to use the same response, regardless of the question (script) . I have been a loyal Woolworths shopper for years -no more due to such bad service

Stay away ! Applied ages ago still waiting for final approval, have provided whatever proof of income was requested. Looks like no dedicated staff work for this department.
