Does it move from floating floor to carpet and vise versa okay?

I don't know what you meant by floating floor. However, my experiences from it transitioning between tiled floors and carpets are very good. Additionally, it has no problems navigating the ridges between the carpeting and floor of various rooms. Hope that helps.

Depends on the height difference. I have floating timber floors and a rug sitting on top of it, it's a fairly thick berber, nearly 2cm. The robot struggles getting up. One one side especially, where the rug edge is vertical. The other edges are leaning in a little and the robot has no trouble. I might have to shave the rug edge to a 45 degree angle...

Is the Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum compatible with Australian power, or do I need to purchase an adaptor? Thanks!

You will need to purchase an adapter. It is a type C power plug.

It is compatible with 240v. Plug is different so you need a converter or replace the whole cable. It has a 2 pin plug at the machine which is similar to other household items.

Does anyone know how this goes on slate? I was told the dirt drops if the slate isn't totally smooth?

I think it should be fine for slate. There shouldn't be any dust dropping on any surface (the dust is always kept secure in the dust bin).

Works well on floating floor. Doesnt seem to drop anything when moving to different level surfaces.

Can anyone tell me how this robot vaccum goes on carpets (med pile) and is it efficient with excessive dog hair?

I have a smaller house how well does it navigate around, under or behind things?

We have carpet and tiles throughout the house. No worries on the carpet. It won't do any of the black rugs though. Hasn't had an issue with our labrador hair. In the few weeks we have had it, it's only got stuck twice. Very good with the navigation and getting out of tight spots

We also have medium pile carpet - works fine. It does pick up a fair amount of fluff so you may find you need to empty the bin a fair amount. Don't have dogs, but one wife & two daughters with long hair - is fine picking that up, just need to remove the hair from the brush regularly. Navigation is fine (can't fit everywhere, but manages most places), hasn't tried to commit suicide down the stairs, so am pretty happy with it.
