I am currently living in taipei and they use 110v ... but, I am curious if I will be able to take this in Australia (240v) upon my return.
Does anyone know if it is simple enough to just get a new power cord (rather than having an adaptor on the cord, or potentially needing a converter) at a later stage? TIA

You can buy a step down transformer from jay car or a and online retailer or check to see if it has dual voltage control like some phone charges

hi i have the Xiaomi Roborock s50 i believe this is the second generation. I am getting frequent messages, too many actually, that comes in pairs and says
"Cleaning finished. Going back to dock." and the other message says "unable to find docking station unable to reach dock, returned to starting point"
Problem is that the vacuum is just on standby. Its got no schedules and neither has it done anything. I use it occasionally to clean under my bed - its working fine. BUt this message seems to come from another unit else where on earth or does my unit actually think it went around cleaning when clearly it hasn't. im here in the house with it!
Even cleaning history confirms it has not cleaned during those times it gives the message.
Help please! Thanks!

Can you please tell me how long did your Xiaomi Mi Robotic vacuum last for (or how old is it if it's still going)? Thankyou

Only had it for a month or so. It can easily do 120 square metres and go for an hour and a half. Not sure how fast the battery will degrade. It goes back to base (theoretically) if it get's too low on battery. It is an amazing vacuum. I just don't like the fact that it wants access to my files, and has been recorded sending huge quantities of data to a server in China.
hello - i purchased the robot vacuum in September 2018; so, am into the fifth month; it is used to do two floors at home, each floor approx 40 square metres; it is charged between upper and lower floor; battery still charging well and quite quickly

Can people please assist me in setting this up - the app isn't working and it's driving me nuts. I am reasonably tech savvy but cannot get this to work. Does anyone have instructions to follow?

Why does my mi robot vacuum suddenly sound like its vibrating very loud? ive cleaned/replaced filter cleaned dusted brushes...but soubds like something is very loise cant see what!

More than likely some thing is caught in in the brushes or squeegee. Remove the brush fully to clear. Do this by squeezing two tabs together and removing the cover.
As i said...i did all of this...removed the brush totally...cleaned out any hair that was stuck on brushes and around the sides...cleaned it out replaced it... checked wheels they good. .but still sounds like something is loose... my husband has even checked it. .repeated everything i did.... nothing...still makes that vibrating noise
I have the same issue. I'm going to return it

The saved 'cleaning history' repeats itself - the history cites up to eight (8) instances of cleaning (same, same) for each occasion the unit has been used. does anybody know if i can delete by item, or collectively? thanks in anticipation

Does the robot avoid spills and pet accidents or do they plough on through?
1 answer
The vacuum's sensor scans rooms quite well and an app you download displays this perfectly. The bump stops stop it from knocking over fairly light ornaments.
As for spills and accidents I can't really comment. One of the dogs is a Dogue de Bordeaux who drools quite a bit after drinking and the vacuum doesn't have an issue with those slicks but neither dog has had any accidents to give an update.
Unless you understand mandarin the app is needed to understand its audio commands but it's a free download as well.
Another xiaomi robo has a mop function but mine does not

i realise that if the app is turned off then the machine will not turn on if owner is out and about. but, is leaving the app on liable to consume copious amounts of data, or allow intruders into a mobile device
1 answer
That's not correct. I don't have the app turned on and the machine works fine. The vacuum is connected to wifi, the automated start times you set for cleaning are stored locally on the vacuum.

Hello,i bought the vaccum the sec generation 6mon ago and it worked perfect.
2 weeks ago it stoped charching and after he turn back to the dock, few min later it leave the dock and say that it doesnt charge properly. And even when he was on the dock it charge really really slow until he leave the dock with the same message (error 13).
All the contacts are clean and i check the charger with fluke and it put out the right voltage.
Now the battery complitly dead even when i put it stright on the contact it wont charge more than 5%.
Do u think maybe a new battery will fix the problem?
I tried to charge it in another dock that i borrow from a friend but didnt work.
Any suggestions?
I am hopless.

I have the similar problem and only way is to change the Motherboard which I did and it's working normal now. It took me few months waiting time and finally get the replacement part at "https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/bP4N0SpS" and instruction on how to access motherboard at "https://youtu.be/GvaCIRz10T0".
Good luck!

Hi, just bought this robot ver 1. Just wondering, is it ok to leave the robot docked (batt at 100%) or should i close the power supply? Or is it ok to leave it? Does overcharge damages the batt??? Thanks
1 answer
Check with Xioami if you are concerned but it is designed to be left in a powered docked state so that it can start a scheduled clean when ever you have programmed it to start. Or you can even start a clean when you are not home via the app. If it was turned off you would not be able to do this. The Xioami guide says to keep it fully charged at all times to prolong the life of the battery. Hope this helps.

My Xiaomi has stopped picking up a lot of slightly bigger bits of dirt off the wood floor and cat hair off the rug, both of which were no problem when new, after only a few months. Is this the brush? A common fault? Thanks.

I purchased a Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum this week, everything is going well except I have not been able to use the remote control feature of the app. It comes up with a message saying that the device and phone need to be on the same network. I have reset the wifi numerous times, switched to Mainland China for the location, but I am still unable to access this feature.
Any help will be greatly appreciated?
Jason Sasked
Where can I buy one from other than the internet?
2 answers
Hi Jason, I don't actually know of any stores that sell it here in Australia as they are Chinese. Xiaomi is an extremely popular brand over there and you'll find a lot of Aussies are resellers for the brand so buying online is the way to go and you get a 1 year warranty. This is where I bought mine from https://shopmonk.com.au/xiaomi-robot-vacuum-cleaner-white OR ALTERNATIVELY there is a Xiaomi Australia online store https://www.xiaomiaustralia.com.au/products/mi-bot-xiaomi-robotic-vacuum-cleaner
Good luck :-) it's such a great little robot!
I bought it from ebay seller - Gearbite. It's really good.
Regard,
Wing

I turned my robot off at the power source and moved both the docking station and robot to another area. (It was turned off for about 2 hours during this time) now it wont work. It keeps saying it can’t connect to the wifi and pretty much stays in sleep mode. I have turned it on and off and also reset it a couple of times. I have also reconnected it to wifi via the app on my phone but still no luck! I love this machine but have only had it going for a few days and now this has happened. Any help?? Sue
