We have the series 1.We have low pile carpet but it is very thick. We are constantly surprised by the the amount of stuff in dustpan. Just wanting to confirm that the brush isn't damaging our carpet and stripping the carpet every time it is used.

Yes but you will only have limited functionality - a complete house clean. If you get the app and connect thru a modem there are great functions like zone clean where you can get it to clean one area, you can change the language to English, and you can drive it like an RC car.

It works on both, it will go from tiles to carpet no problems
I’m worried that it will think the colour is a cliff and not work on the dark flooring since I’ve read it does that with Black flooring. My flooring is dark charcoal grey
Mine does get a bit confused on a run with dark sections

Hi All,
Big fan of Xiaomi products, I purchased a Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum in March 2022 and was initially very happy with the unit.
Until recently:
1) All of a sudden, the unit seems to have difficulty connecting to WiFi.
2) When it does, the following happens -

Like my unit and as you can see, the unit is fully charged.
It starts up and tries to commence the cleaning process.
However, the unit stops the moment it leaves the docking station.
I have resetted the unit as well as factory-resetted it.
Some other users have advised changing the internal battery.
Can anyone advise or confirm if this is the best course of action? Unfortunately, the retailer I purchased the unit from is not replying to my queries.

Hi,
We have had the cleaner for a year and had no problems at all. But yesterday it was able to clean only for 5 min more or less and ran out of battery. I charged it over night and tried again, the same issue...
could you tell me why is it happening? Is there something we can do or it’s just normal that the battery life will decrease with time ?

We lodge the problem with the vendor and if it is within warranty period, they should fix it. It could be the battery problem, the docking station contact point or the CPU system. We never had an answer from the technical team but after two failed attempts to fix the problem, they gave us a refund finally after 5 months of dispute.

How does this product deal with furniture legs etc, corners and edges please?

To add to my question - are these areas to be cleaned separately or is there a a special knack it has to get to these difficult places?
It gives furniture legs and edges little bumps here and there and goes around them, not really an issue. The bigger issue is getting under something that's the perfect height for it to just slide in. Happens with my TV stand, it just manages to go under it and then occasionally can't get out because it's too tight.
For the areas that it can't get in because they are too low or too narrow you need to clean them separately.

After over a year of wonderful service from my Xiaomi Mi robot vacuum, I can no longer connect it to my Wifi. Don't know what happened. The blue light is blinking like it's waiting to connect but, when I go through all the steps on the app to reconnect, nothing happens when I touch it. It's like it's frozen. The device is ticked but it does not appear in my Mi home screen as being connected. Help! I'm desperate! Is there a vacuum angel out there who can help? Thanks, Kathryn

hi, im no tech expert/angel-but sometimes deleting apps and reinstalling them works to sync all the updates and functions on your device.like starting from scratch.

Can I switch off the docking station after the robot has reach 100% full charge or do I have to let the unit stay on the docking station, power on?

Keep base station on its in order to keep unit fully charged once charged it will automatically detect full charge and just maintain battery not over charge it.
