Hi, You can leave your Cleaner in the Pool for a week. It is not recommended long term. The running time/s are dependent on when your Pump is on. Thanks.

HI Steve, It is recommended that you remove the Cleaner between cleaning cycle and rinse when possible. If you do need to leave it in the water whilst on Holidays, this is okay. You just need to keep the water chem on track. thanks.

I'm no expert but with mine I finally bit the bullet and bought one of the repair service kits for 129.00. I think they are cheaper on Amazon. It has a replacement gearbox as we'll as treads etc. Once I put it on my unit actually started working properly for the first time in ages. When I was pulling it apart I did find that the spindle on the side gear wheels had lost the retaining clip which may have been causing some of the problems. Hope that helps.

Hi, I have replaced all the internals and the tracks on my Mx8 and it keeps dislodging one of the tracks and chewing out the teeth, leading to me replacing the track and it doing it again. How can I solve this please?

So many of us are experiencing various faults. After 4 to 5 minutes running time have the tracks come off?. This will stop it. The MX8 is guaranteed for 2 yrs. Email them ........... [email protected]

I have an mx8 that's about 3 years old and it was freezing up after running a few minutes. I could manually move the scrubbers and it would start running again but would soon freeze. I've replaced every part I can think to replace both A & B Drive Motors the engine as well as the two scrubbers and the two drive shafts. It still runs for about 10 minutes and then starts freezing up. What else do I need to be looking at?

My Zodiac pool cleaner does a pretty good job but many times it ends up in the deep end fairly fast and gets stuck on the bottom drain unable to move. Any ideas?

I have a brand new MX8 Elite. It has plenty of suction but won’t climb. It moves around the pool and does well. However, it slips on the walls. I removed the two scrubber pieces on each of the sides and now it climbs perfectly to the waterline.
The problem is definitely with the scrubber pieces. Do they wear themselves a bit and then the MX8 Elite will climb with them attached? Seems odd that the scrubbers hinder the ability to climb. Will Zodiac send a pair of replacement scrubbers? Yesterday I put them back on and it started climbing. It worked fine. However, I came back today and it would not climb until i removed the scrubber pieces and again it started to climb.
I have had the machine just two days.

We have all had enough. I am putting my tracks back on twice a day. There must be a design fault somewhere. Their email is [email protected]
Scan in the original receipt and send with the email. I have been offered new tracks but that is not good enough. There is a 2 year guarantee & I want a full replacement. They are not cheap. Evelyn - Pinjarra WA
I removed the four small scrubbers and now it climbs like a champ. I also regularly open the top and spin the tracks. Little pieces of shrubs or plants will reduce its suction.
I don’t care about the scrubbers. It just seems silly to have paid extra for them.

Hi over the past week, my zodiac mx8 track keep coming off the wheels multiple times a day. It is only happening on one side of the unit. Is there a reason for this? I have had the mx8 for a little under a year.

Hi Debbie. That is how they are - useless. Mine sometimes comes off both sides. I am 80 years old and find it quite difficult putting them back on. I just don't know what to do..
They are expensive too. We will have to get onto Zodiac themselves. Enough of us are complaining. Evelyn.

How can I remove algae from the bottom of my MX8 Elite? I notice algae in hard to reach places on the bottom of the machine. I’m concerned I won’t be able to completely remove all the algae. Can the MX8 be soaked in equal parts of bleach and water?

Why does my zodiac mx8 pool cleaner pop out off the suction in the skimmer basket when pool turns off? Runs great all day until the pool turns off. Then it comes out of the suction part of the skimmer. I have to keep putting it back in every day.

Most likely you have an air leak before the pump causing back pressure to build up. Once the pump shuts down it blows the hose off.

Hello, I have a Brand New MX8, I have been changing the pool flow in every possible way but I haven't been able to make it move, I have had luck like 3 times and it cleans for 1 minute and then doesn't move at all anymore, please any help would appreciate.

Check suction pressure at hose and check for leaves in unit

I have a MX8 that is 4 years old and the piece on top of the unit broke but I ordered the replacement piece. The part, the flo regulator valve has has an internal spring unlike my old part. Now my MX8 will not climb the walls, I have tried adjust the part in the skimmer but it doesn't make a difference, the highest pressure we can get is 2.5 which isn't enough.
The only thing that changed was this new flo regulator valve, we had no problems getting the pressure with the original part.
Help!! I don't want to have to purchase a new MX8, can I get the old part?

One of the two I bought did this. It would get stuck on top and/or just spin. I increased the suction, decreased the suction, neither worked for me. Just another reason I went with another brand, haven't had any issues since.
You appear to have solved the problem by buying another brand. Not knowing details of your drain cover I am unable to advise on the problem.
