Good but hard to buy special blend
We got this when it first came out and loved it however the coffee blend I liked that originally came with it as a sample is almost impossible to get and the shop we got it from won't order it in! Other than that it dose make nice coffee if you have the right blend you like

perfect
easy to use easy to clean, great tasting coffee at an affordable price. this is our daily grind, it wakes me up in the morning and tastes amazing. I had a sunbeam prior to this and have found this much easier to use. I love it so much I have even gifted it at weddings!!

I love it! Starts my day
I love the Aldi Expressi Machine. I have had two versions and have loved both of them. They have a massive range of pods and they are so much cheaper than any other machines/pods.
I start my day with a coffee every day! I love the stronger varieties and my husband likes to drinking the Hot Chocolates. We also bought the milk warmer.
It is that easy my five year old can make me a coffee.
Cleaning requires you to purchase a descaler and run it through the machine (which I do weekly).

Awesome machine for price
This is a great coffee machine. I have used it multiple times a day since I bought it and have had no issues. its nice and easy to use and it’s easy enough to find the pods to fit it in most grocery stores. also nice and slimline so doesn’t take up too much bench space.

Lovely Coffee Daily
Was so happy when these came back to Aldi because my friend has one and I had been waiting ages to get one. It makes lovely coffee and it's so easy. I am sipping one before I am even awake most days. It's easy to use, just pop in a pod and push the button. The water tank is quite large and cleaning up is a breeze. There is a HUGE selection of pods available. I still haven't tried them all. Its a great machine.

Great machine for the price
We are using this machine at work so it gets a LOT of usage yet it keeps going without any problem. The pods are quite cheap and Aldi offers a good selection with a few seasonal specials to chose from. The coffee has a great crema on top, however, the taste is not as good as Nespresso. That said, it is very good coffee and a very good machine for the price.

Good Coffee Fast
I can have a coffee in record time with this. Its quick an anything to make a cuppa. I fire it up, pop in a pod and I'm done in minutes. It has a decent sized water tank so It's always ready to go and its easy to clean. There is a big variety of different pods available but I always get the espresso ones. Its a really good machine and good value

Fast, easy to use machine, but cleaning a bit tedious
Love the machine and the coffee capsules it uses.
Certainly the fastest way of busting out a coffee in the morning before work.
My only dislike, is that the water runs pretty quickly, and if you don't stay VERY up to date with cleaning out the drip trays, it gets pretty funky in there!

Cheap yet alright
This was cheaper than the other machines I saw on the market and as a result decided to buy it. At first the variety of pods was not as great but the variety has improved over the years. I feel that the machine does not get the most out of the pods.

Easy to use and clean. Lots of pods to choose from.
Find this easy to use and great for when we have guests over. There are lots of pods to select from and pods are affordable. Very to keep clean. Just empty the front pod catcher and rinse clean. The water container large enough to make at least four cups before requiring fill up.

Makes a great coffee!
I have jad a few different pod coffee machines and the Aldi one is no different from some more expensive brands I've tried. It's really easy to use and makes a nice hot cup of coffee. The Aldi pods are cheaper than the other brands and there is a great variety of flavours. You can use other brands of pods as well. A good reasonably priced machine. It also is really easy to clean!

A great coffee machine
I received this coffee maker machine as a gift around two years ago and it is still working perfectly. It only works with ALDI's coffee capsules, which is great I think (good quality capsules with decent price). The water container has capacity for two mugs and is very easy and simple to use. The only thing that I have noticed is that sometimes capsules do not fit the holder and drop. generally, it has good quality and I am happy with it.

Good quality for the price
Happy with the quality for the price I have paid, Good range of coffee capsule to choose from, also reasonable priced
I will recommend it. There are lots of Aldi stores around with it can be purchased from, the unit is also cheap enough to buy one for work which I use all the time

Great value
It works every day - $5.99 for 16 capsules which I consume over 5 days, so for the price of 1.5 cafe coffees I get a weeks worth of espresso. The cafe at work makes the worst coffee on the planet, so the Aldi machine saves the day. Love it.

love it
Considering the price and consistency of this machine it is a winner. I like that it is compatible with a lot of pods on the market but unfortunately doesn't perform as consistently as the Aldi bought pods. I don't find the aldi pods strong enough so i buy other stronger brands and this is where sometimes it gets blocked and doesn't perform as well. But overall it makes a great cup of coffee when it does.

It's ok, but it has some downsides that makes it unsuitable for me.
The biggest thing I disliked about this machine was the difficulty in cleaning. Pods occasionally get stuck, and you can spend a good stretch of time trying to get them out. There's a pre-coffee 'clean' function you run before every cup but if you look where you stick the pods you'll see that the machine is still very dirty, even if the water is clear. At least once a week I'd have to deal with stuck pods.
Finding the pods you want is also touch and go. ALDI is incredibly inconsistent with stock and is perfectly happy to let stock that's pop...Read more
ular run out to sell the terrible pods. When they're bad, they're very, very bad. When they're good, they're mediocre. At the same time, quality brands tend to be incompatible. Even the ones that are compatible can collapse under the low power and cause the pod release to activate (wasting a very expensive pod). Overall, I've found this machine has put me off pods. I do see the convenience but as I prefer a quality cup of coffee, this is just not suitable for me.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

My Choice For Coffee For Over 7 Years
Affordable coffee with a fantastic range of pods (Milano (10) & Calabrese (13) are my go to), have had a few machines for vary reasons (moving, giving away old one) and never had a issue. One thing I noticed is sometimes my pods fall through into the disposable area but that's it. Easy to clean and maintain. Currently own the limited edition red version and it looks great in my kitchen.

Questions & Answers
Bethasked
I was unable to remove the used pod container from my machine for many months, & eventually stopped trying. After about a year of disuse, I mentioned the problem to someone, this afternoon, & showed them how the container is supposed to be removed, so they could have a go, and as I did so, the container just came straight out, no problems! I gather it was because the coffee had become totally dehydrated over time, and so the pods had shrunk back down, so they no longer filled the available space...!
Anyway, I plugged my machine back in, filled up the water container, and tried to run the clean water through the machine. Although the 3 lights came on, then 2 went off (as they’re supposed to) leaving the milk/rinse button’s light on, when I pressed the button, nothing happened. I’ve tried all 3 buttons, and have tried with & without a pod in the machine, but nada! It doesn’t make a sound, either, so the water isn’t even heating up! Any suggestions as to what the problem might be, or how I might be able to get my Expressi machine working again?
Any help would be much appreciated!

How old is the machine ? Honestly from your story you probably need to go out and buy a new machine. Especially if it is not under warranty anymore. I have just bought the latest machine at Aldi and it is fabulous ! A lot quieter than the original one I purchased a few years back.

I have a machine thats about 2 years old, and accidentally pressed the middle button before putting the water reservoir back in the machine, and now it just grumbles along but no water gettting through... i cant find my manual -. Is a reset worth trying, and if so, which buttons do i press and for how long please??

I suggest buying some descaler, it's not dear. Fill up your reservoir with water and a cap of descaler, the coffee residue builds up, thus blocking the flow. I hope this helps you.
Thank you so much for your prompt response! It started to work again after it had been turned off for a while, but I suspect it does need descaling as we have never done that up till now (unlike the Caffitaly we used to have that just seized up until you followed the laborious descaler process on a monotonously regulaf basis)!!l Really appreciate your help.
