Hi. With zero excess insurance provided by Apex, in the event of a claim do you have to pay any monies at the time of the claim ie pay up front for the excess then have to claim it back ? Like rental cover etc

No holding deposit but I suggest taking photos before driving off and if you do early morning drop they charge 30 dollars I highly recommend and always get insurance as well

No deposit is required but I do suggest getting the insurance and taking photos before u drive of I absolute enjoyed using them and they charged me an extra 106 for 3 extra days for the auckland airport apex

I paid for the car battery A$230 to NRMA as it kept depleting and NRMA has to come up to the ski fields a couple of times to start the car. Rental agreement number 707881. Want to know about the refund as the office said someone will email me about this but I have not receives this email and thought I should check. Thanks.

I have no interest in Apex or any car company but doesnt it say in your contract, and you should even be told when you collect the car, that it cannot be taken off road, driven on unsealed roads, or taken into snow areas.So whos fault is it? still poor service all the same them not getting back to you

Been driving since aged 17 now 43, clean UK licence and looking to hire a small car in Cairns to visit Mossman, Daintree, Cape Tribulation....should like reassurance and confidence of being fully comprehensive, and wondered if your comprehensive loss/damage cover with zero excess mentioned in advertisement would provide such.

I believe it does cover everything except perhaps the loss of the car key.
It is also good to get the Sat Nav included in your booking... Saves anxiety..

They don't cover you for travel on unsealed roads at all best option would be to email them, they seem to have good quick responses.
when you book online you will have 3 options
1. pay for rental with high excess
pay hire amount and reduce excess to around $500
or the third option no access and nothing out of pocket but the rental amount is hire.
I took the third option and I know I have 0 excess but the total price I paid for a 3 month rental was more than $800 cheaper than the nearest competitor, and the competitors had $1500 execs!

they are very helpful so if I was you I would ring their Cairns branch or email them.
I am 2 month into my rental and I am very happy.
