Not as good as my first ASCO
Was so impressed with my first ASCO when we moved bought another brand new from Harvey Norman to replace the LG which was working just fine (against my husband's wishes) and have had nothing but trouble. Only 2 1/2 years old and have had the technician out 4 times since Christmas 2014 had the mother board replaced twice. Woke Friday to find its not working again. Waited 4 weeks for the first service, 3 weeks for the second, then had to wait another 2 weeks for the part then another 2 weeks to replace the board and 2 weeks later its not working...Read more
again. Dishwasher full no techno available for another week. I'm exhausted. My only avenue is to replace it but being only 2 1/2 years old feel I shouldn't have to paid $1300.00, cannot say how disappointed I am, have lost my confidence in ASCO would not recommend it.2 comments

ut prior to installation found it then started but only intermittently, this has now been over a five week period. Our service agent has been called out on 5 occasions. Service agent has no idea what the problem is but advises its a lemon and Asco really should honour by replacing this product with a new one before we spend any more money on trying to fix it as soon as we replace a part something else goes wrong. We're over it !!!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Never cleaned or dried dishes
In the year we've had our new Asko, it has never cleaned or dried the dishes, unless run on long hot pot cycle, then works mostly, but takes over 2.5 hours. Our old Asko finished in under 90 minutes and was perfect. Asko about to send tech a 4th time. We want our old one back! Doesn't even empty powder dispenser! don't buy it!

Works brilliantly
Bought this dishwasher after being recommended by a family member. Replaced our old dishlex which was the same size, however the Asko seems to have a better layout making it feel bigger. Company was first rate to deal with once purchased through the good guys. Would fully recommend to anyone considering a new machine.

Very disappointing
F11 error initially explained by tech. as water level not adjusted properly in the factory for Australian market. Hardly used yet problem occurred again a few months later when fully loaded. Not happy Jan!

love it
This replaced a cheaper brand that did not last long. I have had good experiences with 2 asko front loader washing machines and the service dept is lovely to speak to and helpful, so an asko dishwasher was really a no brainer.
cleans dishes well also my range hood filters come out pristine. The is filter relatively easy to clean. Nice and quiet while TV is on.

Problems - tablets & powder do not dissolve.
We have only had this dishwasher for a short while and this will be our second call out. The first time the elderly chap came out, he sat reading the manual as he had NO idea what to do! Really....! Not what I expected, needless to say the problem still persists. The tablets weren't dissolving and our dishes weren't clean after a cycle. The technician said that we should use the powder instead because tablets are hard to dissolve. Huh, never had a problem with our old machine! And then he supposedly adjusted the water. Well surprise, surprise...Read more
, we switched to the powder and it still does not always dissolve . It's a hit and miss saga. Not good enough. Need to get the tech out again. We are so disappointed because we have other Asko appliances and enjoy them. Although our washing machine leaked initially until that was replaced, good service there I have to say. Fingers crossed.1 comment

Exceptional.
Having lost our one year old Asko when the person buying our unit insisted it stay we were faced with a $1200 spend we didn't want. However Seconds World came to the rescue with an unblemished built-in version at the same money we had paid 14 moths ago. And the machine is terrific. If you have never used an Asko you will be amazed at how wrong some manufacturers get it. For example, the door opens flat, the racks pull out completely & glasses do not fall over (Mr Smeg take note). It is whisper quiet, (Aldi/Sterling take note) and above all...Read more
, of course, it cleans! (It is also very forgiving of overloading and crammed-in items though that's just me). All the good things written by other reviewers apply. If anything, it is better than the first machine, though I note this one says Made In Sweden on the door. The first one did not and according to Seconds World you might like to "prefer" Swedish origin. Nothing to add really. Just great. Quiet, efficient, looks great with no knobs or buttons. Has nothing that annoys. Perhaps a little pricey but well worth it2 comments

Good Machine - terrible Customer Service
We purchased this model from BING LEE after reasonable reviews on the internet. Whilst the machine seems to operate quietly and cleans very well, Asko service and follow up is disastrous. We paid for the privelege of having the machine installed by Asko only for the tech to realise he was missing a part. After many follow up calls, not a single response from Asko and BING LEE. A month later and still front facia panel/kickboard is missing. On the flip side, machine performs well and cleans throughly albeit with longer cleaning cycles than our o...Read more
ld Westinghouse. I found that the control panel which selects the mode of wash is fiddly and needs more than one push to activate a cycle. ( something I'm sure I'll call them back for within the warranty period.) The internal part of the machine seems to be mostly stainless steel unlike the other brands which use plastic parts. Cleans well and is quiet Asko service is pathetic. The retailer will relinquish all responsibilty to Asko and tell you its a matter between Asko and the customer.3 comments

Perfect in every way
couldn't be happier about this product. well built, strong, simple design (with child lock), the best part is it cleans very well (better than other models we used), it's relatively quiet. My wife is very happy about it, definitely worth the money. We bought the silver one just to match the kitchen, but white color is $200 cheaper(if I remember correctly), more value for money.

Fantastic quality machine
Chose the Asko after much research due to our old Ariston giving up on us.
Made my choice due to the quality materials used, more stainless steel parts than others, close contender was a Bosche model but Asko was far better. Wife liked the simple design too. I like how the drawers slide smoothly as opposed to some other brands that feel cheap.
Machine is super quiet and on a normal wash mode is extremely efficient at cleaning quite heavily dirty dishes, I used a heavy duty program and was shocked that it even removed the burned on grime at b...Read more

Asko Dishwasher after 3 months & 6 years
The dishwasher shows clever design. No nobs or buttons of the door to get in the way and easy to keep outside clean. Buttons are touch sensitive so no moving switches. There is a power switch neatly located on the top of the door under the sill.
The upper tray spray is rigidly attached to the back of the washer rather than being part of the upper basket. The tube is stainless steel. Baskets glide smoothly but firmly in and out - not wobbly, jerky or flimsy rails of some makes.
Have only used the factory presets and only one wash cycle. It...Read more
does the job. Drying is not as effective as the old washer but the Asko is more power efficient. Could probably extend the drying time but why waste the power. Seems robust. Is easy to use and washes well. The washing pellet door can get trapped by a cup or plate overhanging the recess in the basket where the door opens. The basket has a recessed bar to prevent this but a cup on the bar will protrude enough to prevent the door from fully opening and the pellet cannot drop out. This is an update after 6 years - One poor design feature with the Asko is that the detergent release door can be held closed by an item in the top try. This has occurred a few times when not careful with loading; once with a heavy wash resulting in the dishwasher being coated with fatty deposits washed off dishes by the hot water but not dissolved. I suspect these deposits gummed up the circulating pump and resulted in the motor being stalled on start up causing motor winding damage. The motor is now unreliable on start. The pump is clean and the starting capacitor is in good order.2 comments
This is the worst piece of rubbish that calls itself a dishwasher. It is 3 months old and we have had the service man out 4 times and they don't know what is wrong with it. Please please do yourself a favour and don't consider an Asko

Great little machine!
I've had this machine for about a year now and I really couldn't be happier. We bought this to replace our old Dishlex when it died, and it was a toss up between the Asko and the similarly priced Miele. We went with the Asko over the Miele because we have an Asko front loader which is also excellent, and also the Asko has the stainless steel water pipe bit on the inside, whereas the Miele has the traditional rubber seals between the water pipe and the sprayer arm section, which can deteriorate over time resulting is a loss of water pressure. We...Read more
're very happy with our purchase; it's simple to use and clean, it's much quieter than our old machine, and it washes dishes perfectly. I've never had a problem with powder residue and my dishes come out sparkling every single time, even though we use the Eco-friendly tablets that don't have the power ball de-streaker bit inside. It is true that it doesn't dry plastic items well, but neither did our last machine. I've never really thought that was a big deal. It's probably not the quietest machine on the market either and I was worried about the noise before we purchased it, but I can say now that it's certainly not noisy. We have an open plan kitchen/dining/living area and if we're watching TV or have friends over for dinner we don't notice the noise at all. The loudest part of the cycle is when it's filling with water, or draining the water out. The actual running of the machine is very quiet. We had the Asko service guy come out to install for us, and he spent about an hour removing our old machine, and levelling and installing the Asko. He was very professional and spent a lot of time making sure the machine was centred and level, and he took away our old machine as well as all the packaging from the new one. I would, and have, recommended this machine to my friends and family. Washes dishes perfectly! Very easy to clean and operate. No cons to speak of.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

I bought the D5424 after my Miele one broke down 3 times in the 2 years since we'd moved in,(came with the house). Was told it was only 4-5 yrs old. Soooo, bought this as sales lady had one and described it as being 'great'.
Had it now almost 2 yrs so I've had plenty of time to make a clear judgment. It DOES work well most of the time, but I find that occasionally there's so much powder residue inside the glasses that they need to be washed again. Wine and champagne glasses are a bugger to clean when debris is stuck inside! Louder than my...Read more

I don't think this dishwasher is worth the price. It is noisier than my old Dishlex (11 years old).It doesn't dry well. All plastic items need to be hand dried. It cleans the dishes reasonably well though not perfectly. The everyday wash program is 1hr 50 mins long. To add the better drying option the programs extends to 2hrs 20 mins! . Not bad, Not perfect
Let me start by saying that I am a dishwasher newbie, never having the luxury of owning one before now. I have always been skeptical of how good dishwashers are and owning one now hasn't changed my mine.
We bought the asko because of its reputation and the all stainless steel interior and the exterior looks. We wanted stainless and we wanted integrated.
Overall it washes some items great. Plates, cutlery, pots all come out perfect 95% of the time, only really stubborn caked on bowls need a rinse before going in the dishwasher. Anything pl...Read more
astic on the other hand is a whole different story, they never dry properly even on the long drying cycle. Its also far from quiet. Lots of swishing and whirring can be heard from the adjoining room. Overall for the price we paid $1099 (stainless steel front) I really expected a little more, maybe I expected too much being a first timer, time will tell.2 comments
No dishwasher dries plastics well as plastics don't heat up enough to dry itself.
Just had to leave our Asko behind as part of the house sale. Already got another on order, it was splendid. Use powder, not tablets. And yes, no dishwasher will dry plastic

Excellent dishwasher, great price for an Asko. Love it.
I had my heart set on the Asko5434 after reading such wonderful reviews, until I went to the shops and got sidetracked by the 5424 on special at $899. I have to say I'm so pleased with my purchase! Here's why:
- It looks fantastic (I got the white one and it looks expensive when installed, not like some of the other cheapy white ones). My partner is a huge stainless steel fan but even he agreed it looked good.
- It's simple to use, and the guy who installed it was very knowledgable and did a thorough job. I didn't need to read the instructio...Read more

Great Dishwasher, simple to use
This is our first dishwasher and after looking at bosch, smeg and many other brands settle on this one due to size dishes supported, the simple use of the dishwasher and asko reputation.
We were told it would be delivered on the Tuesday. Monday night we received a call from Asko with a time range for delivery. The dishwasher arrived on the Tuesday in the mentioned timeframe.
We installed the dishwasher ourselves and ran the rinse cycle - it leaked. We immediately called the support line and after a few quick tests a repair man was organi...Read more
sed for the Thursday. The tech person also said this was quite common with a new dishwasher as sometime the door seal just needs to be pulled out and pushed back in due to transportation issues. The Tuesday night I pulled the seal out and put it back in - the leaks were gone. We rang and cancelled the repair man. We've now used the dishwasher for just over a month. Since this is our first dishwasher we've learned a few things. 1. Plastic doesn't always dry - apparently this is common of condenser based drying dishwashers (most of them). 2. You can really put lots in the dishwasher, 3. You don't need rinse aid if you use tablets. We are very impressed with the dishwasher. No matter what we cram in it, everything washes well, and with the exception of the odd plastic item and things we didn't put in so water could drain out. The dishwasher is quite enough we can watch TV in the same room and simple to use.2 comments

Great Wash
Great wash. Upper basket could have done with a second fold down wine glass shelf rather than one, which i really miss from my old dishwasher. Would have been great for small plastic lids like baby's sippy cups etc.
Lower basket, the tines do not fold down which I also miss from my older model of the Westinghouse, where they all folded down flat for pots and pans.
Because the wash is so clean everytime and for the great price of $899 - I love it!!!!
Nice, clean dishes every time. Seems more spacious than our old Westinghouse. Love the sleek looks
Need to vent at end of wash to get plastics dry, but I knew that from reading reviews on this site
