Rotten lemon
The previous dishwasher was a Miele and I wanted to have a better one, I should not have done that, tn four months I called the service department four time because of loudness and racket the machine does, the second time the technician removed a water restrictor in line with the cold water, it seemed working, however shortly later it was screaming again, I called the service but they could not find the problem.
I asked to have it replaced ( it was only 4 months old), however, the manager wanted to have a recording to prove the noise,apparen...Read more

Good looking and easy to use.
Always cleans well, we mainly use the economic cycle and it has never let us down. The machine is relatively quiet and runs the cycle at a reasonable speed. I particularly like the quality of the racks. They don't rattle as some dishwashers do. This was pointed out to me by the salesman that recommended my first Asko dishwasher. So when the time came to replace it I noticed the difference with the quality of racks in other brands.

Heaven, I'm in Heaven ...
Our 20 year old Dishlex gave up and we went looking for a replacement. The Germanic dishwasher we selected and had installed didn't wash or dry. It went through the motions but when we opened the machine at the end of the cycle the plates weren't clean and everything was still wet. We persisted for another day but the results didn't improve. So we asked for a replacement and the people at The Good Guys turned out to be good guys. We declined a straight replacement machine and selected a different brand, this ASKO. And we are so happy we did! I...Read more
t washes and dries perfectly. We don't need to rinse anything because it has a rinsing cycle that gets rid of food particles before it starts the wash cycle. Anyway, after a few days of good results we thought we should really load up the machine to see what it can do. So we put frying pans on top of the sauce pans which were on top of plates. And this machine washed and dried the whole lot! And doesn't make a noise like the Dishlex used to. The controls are very simple to use plus it has a display that shows how long the wash will take. Five stars out of five. We're in dishwasher heaven!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Expensive lemon
Dishwasher D5424 does not dry properly. It does not has any in-built mechanism to assist drying.
We set the dishwasher on 'Long drying/high temperature/Heavy wash and start washing at 9 pm. We unload the dishwasher next morning at around 9am. Inside the dishwasher, the roof is still very wet and a lot of our washing still have big water droplets. We spoke to Asko and they insist that the wetness is normal.
D5424 is our second dishwasher. Our first Asko dishwasher finished much dryer than the D5424. And, my daughter just bought a ...Read more
non-Asko dishwasher at less than half the price I paid for the D5424 and it finishes a lot dryer. We had used ASKO appliances since 1997. We will never ever buy this brand again. So, please do not make the mistake we did.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

I love my Asko!
After buying the Asko Front Loader Washing Machine and being over the moon with it, I decided to buy their dishwasher. I know there are cheaper versions on the market but wanted to stick with the brand that gave me good service. I am not disappointed. It is so quiet that I have to check that it is on and at the end, so nice to find everything clean and sparkling. If I wanted to whinge it would be about the mugs that hold a little water in their upturned base and the plastics that don't dry entirely. However, these are minor things that occur with other washers and so don't worry me at all. Love Asko and hopefully, will be with me for years to come.

Buyer remorse.
I was instantly unimpressed with the purchase of my D5424 in March and 6 months later I am still regretting this purchase. For a $1000+ dishwasher, I am underwhelmed with its results. In no particular order of issues: a) It is difficult to change wash programmes as the dial isn't user friendly, b) the cutlery basket is bulky and took up too much space and the cutlery handles touched each other and left rust marks so I reverted to using the basket I had rescued from my old Samsung which keeps each cutlery item separated by the grid style ...Read more
lid c) Often the Finish tablet doesn't leave the dispenser during the cycle and nothing gets cleaned, necessitating running the whole cycle again. d) the normal daily cycle I run overnight takes over 2 hours. Its fortunate I wash the saucepans by hand or the heavy cycle would take much longer. e) even using rinse aid, nothing dries properly- especially plastic containers, which all require being dried by hand. f) I can not stack as much in this dishwasher as my last one and struggle to get cereal or dessert bowls to stand up in the racks. All these little niggles are annoying on a daily basis and after reading these reviews I realise I am not alone.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Blocked up
We had our machine less than 12 months when a blockage in a pipe occurred. I tried to fix this myself but couldn't. Called Asko out and they advised it was a seed that had somehow got through the filter and blocked the pipe. Cost $100 to repair and the technician said the only way to guarantee it didn't happen again was to wash dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. That completely undermines the point of having a dishwasher - particularly one of the most expensive ones which claims 'no rinsing required'. When I complained to Asko the customer service was very rude and offered no solution. Will never buy this brand again.

Asko brand. Never again
I expect better longevity for the price. I also had problem with asko oven, element and fan replaced and asko microwave oven fuse replaced, total cost $490, not happy. Won't buy asks again even discounted 90%. All appliances both same date. Gas cooktop.. No problem yet.
Cheaper brands have better lifespan. At least you can throw it away if got broken.

Didn't last 5 years - not worth the extra $
Bought this machine 4 years ago, and have had one service call under warranty. The machine cleaned the dishes well and was fairly quiet. It stopped working after 4 years of use - the display wouldn't show and it made a pumping sound when the door was closed. Rang Asko and was told it was probably the central processing unit and would cost over $400 to fix. Considering it cost me more than twice the cost of my last dishwasher that lasted 8 years, it certainly wasn't value for money. Going back to a Becko for less than $500!

Cleans dishes better than I can
When our last Asko dishwasher died after 6 or so years (electrical issue), we bought this as a replacement. Works great, is simple and easy to use and is relatively quiet when in operation. The regular wash feature is all I've needed to use, though there are many other options available. It wont dry your dishes as it doesn't have an inbuilt fan, but if you're a patient person willing to let evaporation work its magic or don't mind using a tea towel for its intended purpose, this shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Best Of The Best
I have 2 Asko dishwashers, one for home and one for holiday house and love them both. Asko make many claims of why they are the best, and they live up to every claim. They have all the features the others have, however there are 3 that stand out - 1. The on/off button is inside door so you save on electricity with no standby feature or accidental turn on.
2. A small slide out/in draw, full enclosed, for sharp knifes etc (no accidental cuts) and 3. My favorite, that is unique to Asko, the drying fan that ensures your glasses, plastics and all ...Read more

Perfect!
The Asko dishwashing machine not only looks great but cleans everything great. I have never used such an effective dishwasher, and it is so quiet. We have now had this for 4 or 5 years and it is still running great and doesn't look like showing any sign of wear and tear.

DIed after four weeks; endless hassle, hate it.
I bought an Asko because I thought that spending the extra money would mean a good quality, reliable dishwasher. Boy, was I wrong. The dishwasher worked fine for four weeks, then refused to pump out dirty water. I had technicians around four times (washing up by hand for WEEKS in the mean time), each time it was "fixed" it would work for a little while, then the same thing happened. I finally gave up, contacted Asko and demanded a replacement, which took A MONTH to get here. Now, just two months on, the same thing has happened with the new machine. I am so sick of living with this piece of junk and am bitterly regretting buying it. I will not buy another Asko appliance.

Sold on the brand quality, but it's a dog
We bought this for our new home because we thought Asko produced quality appliances. We were wrong. This has been a disaster and hasn't worked from about 6 months (it's now just less than 3 years old). I joined Product Review to write this review.
The drain doesn't work properly, the water builds up and every 2-3 weeks I need to clear this out with a shot glass. It's a disgusting job. The table often doesn't dissolve, which means it's being flicked out too late, or the water is not working properly to dissolve it. And the dishes just don't g...Read more
et clean like they should. I had a Smeg in my last apartment and should have stayed with that - it never failed and delivered great results. A technician came out after 8 months but this didn't resolve the problem. My bad choice is not continuing on with my complaints with Asko. The busy combination of work, life, kids etc and being a 'passive' consumer meant I just lived with it, until I got so annoyed with it and called them a month ago. Warranty is 2 years so that's their position, rather than admit the fact the product is faulty. So here's what I'd recommend: * If you are looking to buy a dishwasher, don't buy this Asko model. It's bad. * If you have an Asko dishwasher and it doesn't work 100%, call them constantly in your 2 year warranty period, make sure the calls are logged, and ensure it's resolved. A long call history will ensure it's rectified even after warranty.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Perfect.
A dishwasher is useless, unless it does it'd job properly. And this one does, everything comes out sparkling clean.
It's good to look at,runs very quietly, and uses minimum water. And is fast on ordinary dishes, big longer for pots and pans.
All in all I'm a very satisfied customer, and would recommend this appliance to everyone.

Best dishwasher ever
This dishwasher has a huge capacity for dishes with the bottom tray able to fold down to accomodate large pots. The touch control dial is simple to use and has a variety of programs such as rinse and hold up to a 3 hour pot wash. I have had three Asko dishwashers in the past and all of them have been fairly quiet with no maintenance issues. Even the dirtiest of dishes usually come out sparkling clean and we never rinse dishes just scrape the food off and pop them in for a cycle. My favourite feature is the fact that it can handle a lot of dishes and large pots with its fold down tray at the bottom. Would recommend Asko's to anyone who is looking to buy a new dishwasher that lasts and does a terrific job of cleaning your dishes.

Great Dishwasher - real quality
Low water usage, easy to load/unload, quality sprayer steel arms (not plastic); cleans dishes well and dries okay as long as you open the door when the cycle finishes, otherwise water recondenses on the dishes. It runs quietly, this one is even quieter than the previous one we had - hardly know it's on unless the water is draining out or filling; the actual operation is so quiet. Reliable - I'd only buy Asko - this is my 3rd in almost 30 years

Deceptive Sales Techniques
I just purchased my second Asko Dishwasher. We purchased the same model that we had before and it lasted 4 years. When I purchased the first one it came with a 2 year warranty. Asko have now extended the warranty to 5 years. We could have had the old one repaired outside of warranty. We expected that if we went down this road it would have cost about $300 - $400. We came to the opinion that we were better of putting that money towards a new one. This is were it get's weird. We call into our local Asko dealer JBHiFi and they have a big spec...Read more
ial sign on the dishwaser advertising it for $999. They then tell us they can't do it for that and it will be $1200. The sales lady says that deal was from Asko and it expired at the end of March. I said but it's still advertised. I had no choice but to cough up the $1200. This was very deceptive. You may ask why we bought another Asko or as we like to call them Crapo dishwaser. This was the only semi-intergrated one we could get. We could have bought a fully intergrated, however that would have required getting a cabinet maker out more $$$ so we decided to stick to the Crapo. If a normal style dishwasher would have fit in our space we would have bought one. Stay away from Akso if you can there are lot's of better brands. Not only are there dishwashers crap they way they sell them is very shonky.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
