ASKO rubbish
Stay away from anything ASKO. Over priced rubbish. I’ve got a washing machine, dryer and dishwasher and all 3 have broken down, some several times. I’ve repaired all 3 only to have then breakdown again costing me time and money.
Purchased at Harvey Norman.

What a complete piece of S#$!
ASKO is by far the worst appliances I have ever purchased or used Period.
Both Washing Machine and Dryers.
Do not waste your hard earned money on these pieces of $%^t appliances you will regret it.
The items just do not go the distance and by far cannot deliver what brands such as Bosch and Miele can do. Don't believe the salesman's hype when they are selling you any of the Akso products.
This is not a paid review but mere Facts of having purchased 3 items and all 3 have failed miserably.

1 Washing machine 2 Dryers all broke down... spent Thousands of $$$ Then to be charged $121 call out fee, to be simply told the filter is F&^%$# on the dryer, is just an insult to a customer and bad business all round. Money grabbing Grubs that what this is. You spend 1000s of dollars on their appliances and this is the best they can do. 3mins to tell me the filter needs changing... Go F%$# yourselves Asko! and the rip off service company you use. You have lost my business for life... Last time a Bank did that to me, it cost them millions of dollars in lost interest over the years of moving to another bank. To say you have created an unhappy customer would be a complete understatement..! The honest review :(

Asko Clothes Dryer new model
We had an earlier model for years, fantastic. Gave to daughter.
New model is so noisy & doesn’t get clothes hot, just warm & takes a long time.
This has put me off Asko forever, but new model washer is great.
Purchased in September 2021 at Clive Peeters for A$1,299.00.

Disappointed with Asko
Paid quite a lot for this brand. Both the drier and both washing machines have had continuous problems and have not lasted. Would not recommend, may have been good in the past but unreliable now.
Drier has finally failed and not worth repairing ($800+) so cutting our losses and getting rid of washing machine as well.
Purchased in November 2021.

Piece of Rubbish
Lint filter keeps coming out and given up trying to attach it to shonky catchment design so it hangs loose therefore not trapping any lint which subsequently stick to clothes And this was after having rubber on filter replaced 3 times
Machine often overheats boiling the clothes
Bought due to reputation Big Mistake
Purchased in July 2021.

DONT BUY ASKO. Terrible product.
We have had this dryer since 2014. The dryer started playing up just after the 2 year warranty expired. We were advised that we will need to pay to get it repaired. We don’t use the dryer much so we didn’t bother getting it looked at. We didn’t use it ever since - it has been unplugged and sitting in the laundry. I thought of giving it another go today after giving it a 2 years rest. I let it go for over 4 hours on a very light to medium sized load. Checked the clothes after 4 hours and they were still wet. There was a lot of moisture in the fi...Read more
lter. The reservoir was completely dry. It’s the same issue we had before we stopped bothering with the dryer. I am just putting this review up so I can expose the quality of ASKO products so other consumers donot waste their money like I did. Buyer Beware. Do not buy their dryers.Similar opinion? Worst and most expensive appliance mistake EVER!,
This dryer is the worst appliance I have ever owned. Went with supposed reputation but disappointed with every aspect. Doesn’t dry things well and takes forever. Broken down twice in three years. Seals and filter have perished needing replacement and now it no longer heats up at all. Getting noisier all the time so assume things going wrong with the drum bearings or rollers. Asko should be ashamed of this product and taking people’s money let alone such a premium amount! Just awful! Wish there was a worse rating than terrible.

Absolute junk, terrible design do not buy, leaks water from door seal!!!
We Bought the T754C from JB HIFI, the machine is just under 2 years old and now leaks water from the door seal which has damaged our Bamboo floor! ASKO sent out repair guy to fix but he said that the seal is in good condition and that all he can do is report the fault back to his Boss to see what can be done further. He then went on to ask me which spin cycle I was using on our, you guessed it ASKO W6444C washing machine, I told him that the fastest cycle we can use is 800, because the washing machine also Junk! Has its own issues (in another p...Read more
ost) can not be set to spin any higher because it rattles the house severely. He then went on to say that if we spun our clothes at 1400 then the dryer would no longer leak because there would be less water to get rid of, what a joke!! I am a Sale Rep with 300 customers who generally trust my judgement when it comes to product recommendations, so from now on I will make my mission to tell everyone of them just how bad ASKO products are! As the repair guy was leaving, I told him the only way ASKO could appease me would be to give me back my $2500 dollars and take away their Junk! don’t buy ASKO!!!Similar opinion? Do Not Buy!!!
Purchased Asko drier in July 2015. Less than three years later, it has broken down eight times. The door latch doesn’t close properly and the lint collection / filter that attaches to the front door has been replaced four times. It is a terrible design as the rubber seal on the lint collector perishes very quickly, comes away from the frame which then doesn’t close together properly and thus you can’t close the unit / safely use. It’s a complete failure and a total waste of money as the design is fundamentally flawed. Plus Asko will charge you every time you need the lint filter replaced, even though the fault has been ongoing b since the machine was under warranty. AVOID

ASKO, NO DIFFERENT TO ANY OTHER....SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!
So, we bought an ASKO front loading washing machine and the T753C dryer as a combination for our new home. We decided that the brand, reputation and reviews would be the deciding factors. in the start Both appliances preformed very well for 2.5-3 years. After that they started to break down and did not preform the same. We went back to ASKO service and they did try to fix both the appliances....washing machine was taken away and modified and has never been the same.( we went out and bought a BOSCH washing machine to get the washing done). ryer still does not work despite 2 call outs from ASKO service team. We are now looking at buying a new dryer to get our clothes dried as winter sets in. We paid top dollar for these appliances expecting to get a premium product that would last for some time, unfortunately that is not the case. My advise would be to save your money and purchase a less expensive brand that way when it fails you can simply throw it away and purchase a new one.Similar opinion? Good price, no so good design
This dryer has a very attractive price point, for what I paid, I am happy with it. Make sure you measure the dimensions of the place you are putting it otherwise you might find the door can fully open to remove the water container (like me). The buttons are quite confusing and the screen is a little small. For first home buyers, its a good purchase

Very good for winter
I love asko products in general this dryer is very good I don’t have to empty the water tank because I have the hose at the back of it the only thing I don’t like is when I have full load or a couple of pieces it stays same time
It doesn’t stop when the clothes are dry it stops only when the time finishes

Worst dryer I've owned
Initially bought next model up, but machine would constantly flood my laundry even though drain tube was installed. Was replaced by one model down and given refund for difference, but lint filter constantly would fall out during cycle. After 2 more service calls, was given a new filter which also kept falling out. Eventually it wouldn't even stay in place prior to cycle. Made a complaint and have just been told by asks that it's out of warranty, even though 3 other service calls ( whilst under warranty) failed to resolve the problem. Have booke...Read more
d service call for next week and have been told that it probably won't be covered. With the money this has cost me from taking time off work, could have bought, 10 more washers and dryers :( will update after next weeks service callSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Dreadful .. door filter keeps breaking
I bought this very expensive dryer and can't believe that I have had to call out a repair man twice already having only had it 18 months. All the cheaper dryers were SO SO much better than this one. Please never buy an AKSO dryer. This one is not worth the money, the angst and the disappointment in trying to buy a really good product and being very very disappointed.

Dangerous ! could start a fire
I have an ASKO washer and dishwasher also that I have no problem with. We have purchased these recently as we are about to retire and wanted white goods to last many many years. My problem is with our T753C dryer. It gets extremely hot and shuts itself off. Earlier this year the thermostat was repaired because it burnt out. Very expensive repair! My problem is once it overheats, shuts off and the front panel turns itself off. the dryer is not really off!!!! The heating unit is still on inside and gets extremely hot!!
It shut itself off on Fri...Read more

Good dryer - should be for price
I had a 20+ old Simpson dryer that probably died around 12 months before I stopped using it so was easy to impress with new dryer. These are not cheap, even on sale, but I have the washer hitch has been great and I like things to match :P The dryer dries clothes well but you need to use the extra dry function. I do not use the delay or other fancy functions really. Fits heaps in and dries quickly. Normal level of noise.

Don't open the door!!!
The dryer drys fine but if you want to open the door to check the washing (no visual window in door) the sensor turns off and goes into default mode of +2.5 hours even if the washing is nearly dry......
Technology gone backwards :((
The schedule times in the manual don't match up and the after sales tecnician says "just don't open the door" My 15 year old dryer was smarter than that!!!!

Overpriced, unreliable and expensive to repair
This unit retailed for almost $2,000. Being Swedish, we expected a high standard of quality and reliability, given their motto on their brochures and instructions is "Built to last longer". And yet Asko only offer a 24 month warranty.
Unfortunately less than three years into ownership it cost us $376 to replace the control unit, then less than 12 months later the printed circuit board failed, incurring a further $583 repair. And now, less than a year later, the unit has failed again.
If the cost of the repair is anything like the previou...Read more
s costs, I could have purchased a brand new unit with the money I have spent on repairs. The Asko motto "Built to last longer" has not proven to be true in our case. I'm very disappointed because I know of competitors' units giving over a decade of hassle-free and reliable operation, with no repairs required and costing less than half the initial purchase price. I would advise against purchasing an Asko.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Very disappointed
It worked OK although needing a service call about once a year. We had problems getting the door to open. This time the repairman said it would cost more to fix it than replace it. I would have thought a dryer this price should have lasted more than 5 years. The washing machine we bought at the same time has not been much better. Would not buy Asko again.

Dries well
My old Asko dryer of 13 years went to the great laundry heaven after never missing a beat. I was tempted to buy a Miele but given my experience with their washing machine I opted for another Asko. Naturally in 13 years a lot has changed in the dryer department but this model seems to do the job well; more efficient than my old Asko, naturally. On the downside, it does seem to dry the clothes at a much higher temperature than I would like for some items and even the lower setting does seem a bit too hot. Granted this is a basic model and if ...Read more
I could have been bothered going into specifics I may have found a model with more options in temperature settings. Don't like the press open mechanism for the door and the delay on start up and shut down of display is annoying. The filter is still on the door but not as sturdy or as easy to use as the previous model I owned. Again, the whole unit is a bit flimsy and I think this is the result of Asko no longer being owned or made by the Swedes. Hope this one last 13 years but given the other reviews I'm not holding my breath.1 comment

We have a T753C that gets very hot on top of the machine even when not in use so we have to turn off at the wall when not using. Now has a terrible burning smell.
It has been lightly used and well maintained. Is it worth fixing?
