Lifesaver at Christmas time..
I added break down insurance through AWN when I purchased my last 2nd hand vehicle. At first I was disappointed to find that it did not cover some of the issues I was having just prior to Xmas, however with what it did cover I was able to come up with the money for the other repairs myself in the end.. The claim process was seamless and very fast turn around, I was able to use my choice of repairer whom they communicated with fantastically & work was able to begin on my vehicle within 24 hrs from lodgement.

Easy to deal with, great customer service!
I took out AWN mechanical breakdown insurance when I got my car and was a great decision as I had engine issues, called them let them know told me what I had to do and it was sorted fast and easy! And the person that looked after my claim was excellent and friendly!

Excellent customer service!
I purchased a car privately and took up the option of an AWN warranty. Best thing I've ever done, A/C failed within a month of the purchase, after contacting AWN the car was assessed at a local workshop within a week and repaired as soon as the parts arrived. The AWN representative I dealt with was very helpful and professional and the whole process was hassle and stress free.

Allowed a secondary quote, approved quickly
Quote was given and approved quickly, however an issue arose where the quote was understated. The whole front of the van needed to come off to repair the fault. An amended quote was issued, AWN were quick to accept the issue and to provide for the amended quote, exceptional for an insurance company, this allowed for the claim to be assessed for the extra work and I wasn't out of pocket. So very happy we paid for the insurance and that their service mantra lived up to and beyond just talk, their action is/was greatly appreciated. Staff were calm and very helpful in dealing with the complex repair.

Such an easy straight forward claim
I was and still am extremely happy with the service provided I recived a brand new radiator fitted in my car after a 2 minute phone call to awn insurance than another call to my dealership to tell them to email quote not even a hour later the dealership called me to say awn had approved my claim such an easy straight forward claim very happy and i would reccomend awn to anybody thank you

Great organisation to deal with
The response time to my claim was excellent. I had a phone call within an hour and arrangements for an assessment of the issue organised immediately. AWN was very flexible with the selection of who was best to do the repair to get the car on the road as soon as possible. Payment was fast. Everyone I dealt with were professional and courteous.

Mixed experiences with claims
Mixed experiences with claims. Most recent were minor and were approved quickly and easily, and very impressed.
However have also experienced very challenging claims, when our new awning had warped and when canvas stitching was coming apart - the van was less than 3 years old. They were extremely difficult, tried to say the repairer was over-charging (it was their recommended repairer) and took weeks of conversations to approve. Got there in the end though, and happy with the final result (replaced and repaired).

Repair Alternator
Had a faulty Alternator on my Chrysler 300 which caused my good battery to fail. AWN approved for Alternator repair (I have top cover which mirrors the manufacturer cover). However, AWN would not pay for the battery which was disappointing and not fair they always come up with policy terms not covered, YES I know its not covered but the Alternator caused the problem and you paid for repair but not battery. You must have it...
Had a problem with the Harmonic Balancer on my 2014 SSV Commodore. If I had not had Insurance with AWN it would cost me at least $600 to repair.
AWN could not have been easier to deal with. The whole process was seamless and of course, I am out of pocket precisely $0. Terrific.
People on the phone were super friendly and helpful. Taking out this extended insurance cover upon purchase was a decision that I most certainly do not regret.
Highly recommended.

Great Service
We purchased a used Nissan X-Trail from Westside Autos and decided to take up the 3 year extended warranty, thank goodness we did.
After a year and during a scheduled service at our local service centre it was noted that the main output shaft was in need of replacement, the claim was easily dealt with and vehicle returned fixed and within the time of a usual service, brilliant :-)
Then last week during the 40 degree temps the A/C compressor clutch failed, on checking the policy it was covered!! claims process initiated with some urgency, claim approved, car fixed and all in under a week.

I’m not sure how many kms your allowed to go over. I would assume they would definitely have a limit. But with my car we had not done much more than 20kms since purchasing it before we noticed the oil leak!!
