Love Bessemer cookware
I've been cooking with Bessemer for 20 years and couldn't imagine cooking without it!
Not only do they add to the aesthetics of my kitchen, they also assist to produce delicious meals. The way the cookware is designed, means I can fry, bake and or slow cook with just one pan. They are sturdy, easy to clean and the non-stick surface means I can cook with little to no oils. Furthermore, Bessemer cookware is one of the only company's that has their own dedicated distributers. As a result their is always someone available if I need support, advice or have any issues with my cookware.
I absolutely love my Bessemer.

No other brand compares to Bessemer
I've tried about every nonstick cookware on the market, nothing beats Bessemer. Durable, easy to clean, retains nutrients, saves energy, chemical free, induction base! What's even better is the 5 year guarantee and the trade in policy that no other cookware company offers. The best part is that you can become a distributor and get your pieces at cost price. It is simply a fabulous product. I love it and highly recommend it to everybody!

Dissappointing!
My grandmother, mother and aunts all have/had Bessemer. Being Italian we always ate at home and Bessemer was just part of every meal in our household growing up. Now a mother myself I went out and spent over $5k on the Bessemer range thinking I could hand some items (like my mother did with me) on to my children HOWEVER the pots are NOT the same as back then. The non stick surface is so ridiculously sensitive, back in the day we always used the proper silicon utensils etc and washed them by hand with a soft cloth (as you are supposed to), but y...Read more
ou didn't have to be so delicate with them they were strong and robust. Now I have to wash them myself not let anyone else touch them at all! I am scared for anyone else to look at them this is how silly it has got! They scratch so easily and that's not using any metal utensils in them and also cleaning them correctly. I am really disappointed with it. I even saw a lady the other day selling Bessemer in the local supermarket and I looked at them and I picked up the pan and touched/felt the non stick base and the lady told me to not touch them as I could scratch them??? Well that just said it all to me!! When I go to family members houses now and use the OLD Bessemer pans/pots you just fall in love with the brand and understand why they were raved about so long ago. I mean my pans now do cook so well but the quality is not there anymore I don't believe. I really wish I didn't spend so much money on them. I have showed a Bessemer lady my pots with the scratches and she has said they are just surface scratches and its ok, but we NEVER saw them on the old pots and they are still going today yet the new ones just are not the same. They look scratched and tired very quickly.1 comment

Not designed to last
Had my cookware for just 6 months and have noticed some small scratches on the bottom. Have only ever used gently with wooden or plastic spoons for cooking rice. But it looks like we may have inadvertently been used on occasion with a metal utensil.
In this day and age, there are so many non stick surface pots which can handle metal utensils that there is no need to buy this over priced rubbish. Seriously, what a waste of money.

My mother had this product for 26 years. I have purchase my in 2015 and still loving it.
Making pizza and cakes in my pot.
Such a time saver cookware. I am able to cook 3 dishes within 30 mins and have meals ready on table in such as short time.
Husband love the cookware too, and uses it to cook as well.

Customer service; use as directed
Bessemer is specific purpose, not all-purpose cookware. Just like I don't use my mixmaster for scones, I don't use Bessemer to fry eggs or boil pasta over high heat. I have a big pot which I use for stews that don't do well in the electronic slow cooker like gumbo and I have a frypan which I use for most things. The pan itself will heat up very hot from a medium set element just a bit slower than a cheap pan on a high element, and retains heat better than other pan types.
I don't need to use oil in the pan. It cleans easily in that I just w...Read more
ipe with a damp chux and/or paper towel. I did have the short handle of a pan crack and emit fumes one cooking session, for no discernible reason as it wasn't over gas flame and had only been on for 5 minutes, I emailed customer service and a Bessemer rep texted me a few days later, so I could stop by her house where she replaced the handle for me. Very happy with that service and surprised given some reviews I have seen. But the lady could clearly see from the pan itself there was no general heat damage so maybe that is the difference.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Disappointed
My original pieces (2) are 20yrs old and still work perfectly, my latest piece a frypan, 2 1/2yrs old has lost its non-stick. I'm so disappointed with my frypan. I use it almost every day and have treated it with the utmost care, seasoning, never use abrasives etc. With the cost and reputation of these items I expected much more. As with lots of other goods, I guess standards drop, sadly.

le as they often don't have much liquid which dissipates heat and tends to protect the coatings. I can assure you coatings today are superior to those 20 years ago, but despite this the piece may be faulty.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Love this specialty cookware.
Recently I was given a Bessemer gourmet griddle pan. I have used it many times at home especially to make blinis and other small pikelets. I also use it to cook poached eggs, fritattas and bubble and squeak. We take it away in our caravan and it becomes a talking point around the campfire. I use it either on my small electric hot plates or on the gas stove top. I am about to try it out for fairy cakes and scones. I really do love it!

Bessemer is just ok
The Bessemer I got 30 years ago from my parents was the best nothing could equal only maybe Rena Ware that's what our parents brought for my sister. I got the Bessemer and my sister got the Rena Ware the best you can get and my Bessemer was but the Bessemer now is very inferior you can not say its the best they are lighter in weight cooking sticks in the pot and the finish is not as nice or good. This has been my experience. Soraya

The coating inside the Bessemer pots don't last very long.
Cooking in Bessemer is good, but the coating in Bessemer pots don't last very long.
I use wooden spoon when cooking in Bessemer pots. Bessemer should change the coating inside the pots, as it tends to peel after a while.
Is the coating in Bessemer pots safe?

We are currently using PFOA Free Whitford Eterna. This is a very safe and effective coating. If you want us to inspect your cookware and determine why the coating hasn't met your expectations, please call 1300655994.

Warranty honoured
I purchased a pan about 4 years ago which had a fixed plastic handle. The handle broke from the joint leaving a part of the screw inside the pan. I contacted my Agent - Angelina and she asked me to get in touch with Bessemer office in Chester Hill. We called Teresa and she asked that the pan be brought for review. The pan was replaced and the service received from Teresa and Neha were exceptional. I only use Bessemer pans for my cooking and will surely recommend this product to all my friends. Once again, I thank Teresa and Neha for the exceptional customer service. They have made me a life long satisfied Customer. Marina Lawrence

LOVE LOVE LOVE my Bessemer
I have had Bessemer since the early 80's and it has served me well for over 30 years. I have recently bought a new 34cm Baking Dish & Lid and I use it constantly. It is now sooooooo easy cooking a small roast and vegies on the stove top. Placing the lid on and vent open it acts like an oven and cooks much quicker than in the conventional oven. How good is it to cook a whole meal in one pot (even the peas - I make a little cup out of aluminium foil and place the peas in with the other roasting vegies - the steam inside the Baking Dish cooks the ...Read more
peas .... fantastic!) Another great plus is how easy it is to clean!! Just soak in hot water as soon as I've served the roast and use a sponge with soapy water later and voila!!! it's done!!!! Love it!!!! I can't understand why people are so negative on this site .... if we read instructions and look after our cookware we'll have years and years of happy cooking. I'm a very happy Bessemer customer.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Deep Oven pan and Americam spare ribs
Hi
Recently we were purchasing another pot thru our distributor, we were asked how it's going, etc, I explain that I had started cooking and was loving it, so I was ask if I would write a review. Answer Yes, and here it is.
My wife has had Bessemer for years. Every year or two she buys another piece. (She Loves it).
Recently I started cooking, 'Dad the want-a-be chef'.
My favourite recipe is 'American Spare ribs in hickory sauce'. These I cook in the Deep Oven Pan (The Beast) it's big. I can fit three full racks of ribs in the pan. The end result is fantastic tender meat falling off the bone in a home-made hickory sauce, WOW!

and scratching. I have been associated with Bessemer for over 30 years and this is not my experience. We have not changed our coatings for quite a few years now and believe we have some of the best currently available in the world from Whitford based in the US and Greblon based in Germany. Our message regarding the Use and Care of Non Stick coatings has not changed significantly over the years either. Coatings have improved as well and they are now PFOA Free, but with non sticks there is always a trade off between hardness and release (non stick). Coatings can be scratched, cut or overheated and deterioration will occur. We considered applying ceramic interiors but these will stick eventually causing customer dissatisfaction. We can inspect your cookware to determine what is causing this problem. Please phone the Melbourne office and speak with Liana on 03)94627300 and we'll be able to assist.
