Athlet BCH6255NAU (Dark Navy)

We have 5 of these Bosch Athlet stick cleaners and 2of these are having problems with the handle/switch. Both cut out on high but work on the lesser speeds. A third has already been replaced by buying another. They are an excellent tool but starting to prove unreliable. Great suction and maintains power for full clean but just have faulty switches. Where can I purchase new handles for the other two without having to buy the whole units?

If they are still under warranty then I would contact Bosche Australia on the number provided here and they will discuss with you what is required. When my handle broke it also lost the full power mode though the other two modes continue to work. Being held together by tape until the new handle arrives.

Neither are still under warranty. One is 14 months old the other almost 2 years

Hi, i have a Bosch Athlet and all of a sudden the other day my power slider stopped sliding down to turbo, it gets stuck on 2. I have tried cleaning it and there appears to be nothing behind it. Any ideas on what it could be? Thanks

I have had my Bosch 25.2V Athlet since February of this year. I clean it after every use and I have it on the charger when not in use. Unfortunately it now has a total run time of around 10 minutes instead of 50 minutes. Can you give me some help on this

Hi, I have a bosch athlet and the thing is about 4 months old and the two front rollers have worn down and has flat spots on it. I first was cleaning hair out of the barrel then saw the roller wasn't turning i took them out to find they were flat in sections and then cleaned out all dust and gunk to freely roll and now the flat spots are making a huge noise as it isn't rolling smoothly. Where can I get these rubbers from or any spare parts???

I had the same problem. I had to disassemble the handle of the machine (quite fiddly) and found a small piece of plastic lodged in the switch.

I don't believe there is any difference apart from the colour. The white one I think was an earlier model to the blue...

Hi ClaireDw,

Thanks for your question regarding the Bosch BCH6255NAU Vacuum Cleaner.

The main difference between the different models is the run time. The BCH6255NAU has a run time on 50 minutes and the BCH6AT25AU has an extra long run time up to 60 minutes.

I had a similar problem with this model. I stripped down the handle assembly and found a piece of broken plastic jamming the switch. This was removed and it now works on all three speeds.

A few questions from someone who purchased this today.

- Where can I get spare filters from in New Zealand (And how much do they cost?)
- What is the running time with the unit on Max?

Cheers!

I think Harvey Norman would be the only place to get spares as they are the only retailers who stock the Bosch Athlet. Running time on max power is around twenty minutes. Cheers

Hi Bosch, very happy with the stick vacuum. Just got it. However, some advice required re charging battery. When it is has been charging all night why is it flashing in the morning when it should be fully charged?? The instructions are not clear on whether this is correct. It seems to be charged but the sensor light flashing confuses us. Are we doing something wrong?

sanjeewasam

The battery has 3 levels so when charging it the light lit up from level 1 to level 3 then to level 1.......... When fully charged my unit display solid blue light in for all 3 levels. It only take up to max 6 hours to fully charge. If it is still shows charging after keeping overnight then something must be wrong with the unit. if under warranty get support from the manufacturer for the battery is not user serviceable. do not take a chance with a bad battery for once the warranty run out you will have no help

Thank you for the advice. This is actually the second one we have had as we sent one back for the same reason & they replaced it There must have been something wrong but I have yet to hear what the problem was (waiting for a call). I find the instructions scant on info around the sensor light functionality & whether you should leave it on charge all the time. For example, I can go to bed with a solid blue light & wake up around 4am & it's flashing again.
Is this perhaps normal?
Do you keep yours charging all the time?
