Hello, I recently had the HBA64S451A oven installed and have noticed that the fan is slow to start up after the temperature knob is set. Ie 5 seconds. There is also a clicking noise audible from the display every couple of minutes when the oven is running. Are both of these things normal? thank you!
Hi Roz, my problem with the oven is different. It doesn't make a clicking noise. I suggest you contact Bosch or the store you purchased the oven from.

Regards, BoschHomeAuMy oven was installed four days ago and I've used it twice. Since last night, an alarm is going off every hour, on the hour...!! All through the night....!!! I've checked the timer and it is at 00:00. After calling your customer service line, and waiting on hold for 15mins, I spoke to a nice guy who suggested that I turn off the mains power. I did this and when the hour clicked over the alarm went off again. This is very frustrating. It is a short alarm of approx 5-6 beeps then it goes silent. How do I turn this off? There is nothing in the manual about this problem. I really do not wish to have to turn the oven off at mains power every time I am not using it.
My model is HBA63S4.1A

We are just about to purchase this oven. There are quite a few completes about cracked glass in the door when the cleaning cycle is used. Is this an ongoing problem or is it caused from incorrect usage? This self cleaning is the reason why we want to buy this model.

Hi N Morgan,
Thanks for your question regarding the price difference between the Bosch HBM43S550A Oven and Bosch HBM43B250A....
Read more There are a number of factors which effect the prices of home appliances. While all our appliances have the same German engineering standards, the location of manufacturer and differences in materials used can effect the price which allows for us to provide models catering to different customers' budgets. Whether you purchase a product in store or online also effects the prices as there are costs associated with transporting, housing and providing in store customer service which are different from products bought online. However the principal difference between the Bosch HBM43S550A Oven and Bosch HBM43B250A are the functions they provide. Our Bosch HBM43S550A Oven has more cooking features available for the Secondary oven. What was the ultimate outcome?
Surely, Bosch must have come to the party and replaced your oven?
If not, did you ask the Consumer Affairs people to pursue a claim under the provisions of the Fair Trading Act 1987?
When dealing with expensive premium products a magistrate will more than likely rule that four years is not a 'reasonable period', especially when dealing with what clearly is a design fault.

Read morecontract to purchase is between you and the seller, in our case Harvey Norman, and that attempts to get you to deal direct with the manufacturer are grounds for Consumer Protection to accept a complaint against the supplier. We believe that the usual strategy is to put the client off by denying responsibility or unreasonably delaying matters. If the advice was to patch up the oven and not to use the Pyrolitic function, the product is clearly not fit for purpose and the supplier must provide a remedy. I do not relish the prospect of a stoush either, but refuse to become the loser in the war of attrition waged by the manufacturer. Any suggestions on how to clean it, as I thought it would clean when I burnt the oven off.

Why can't I find wire oven shelves on the Australian Bosch site but they have them on the UK site but only ship within the UK?
Because Bosch's AUSTRALIAN "Customer Support" is a bad joke. I don't know why they have a job, because they have no interest in supporting the products Bosch sells.
Suggest you try eBay, and see if you can find a reseller who will ship to Aus.
Are you supposed to feel hot air blowing from top of door while cooking? It's my first time using seems like its not sealed tight or door not on right?
I just checked and do not get much airflow when using fan force out of top of door. Is it coming from top of oven or top of door?
What setting are you using?
I have had a look at the oven. When you open the door. There is a gap above the oven.I think you will find that the airflow is coming from there. The seals are below this gap and it looks like this is...

So i've bought this oven less than 6 weeks ago from the good guys. Had it installed a week ago. Along with all my other new appliances in a brand new kitchen. Cooked with it 3 or 4 times. Wiped off fingerprints with a with a damp teatowel the otherday. Now the entire front stainless steel bit has fine rust spots which cant be rubbed off. The oven stinks of rust. There is no way this is stainless steel. I paid $1500 for this oven and I had a $500 oven before which lasted 5 years and never ever had a rust problem. We upgraded to Bosch because its a high quality german made product.
Wondering what im suppost to do? Is this a warrenty cover? I didnt get the serial number off the back like I see someone above did as well before it went in. Do i go back to the shop i bought it?
Who pays to remove it and get it replaced. We have a bosch dishwasher with a 10 year rust warrenty. Surely this a warranty thing?
Update: Bosch were contacted and I was told I'd obviously washed my teatowel with some kind of washing detergent or used an unsuitable spray which has had a reaction with the steel. I researched alot...
Read more into this oven before making this pruchase and all my previous appliances have been stainless so after spending $1500 Im not about to go and spray with acid! I find this absolutley absurd as we've had many stainless steel appliances and not once has this every occurred from simply wiping it over with a damp teatowel. Afterall.... This is suppost to be high quality stainless steel.. Clearly not sealed properly in the factory. They have sent out a seal kit and informed me I must use a microfiber cloth to clean with in future - not a teatowelYou can also find the serial number inside the oven door. And yes, it sounds like a warranty issue. I would certainly speak to good guys

Read moreray. They said they would get a rep out to look at it. Then they must have spoken with bosch and they did a total backflip with help and said thats all they would do for now. Annoying when I have a new kitchen and a dodgy oven I cant use because I dont want to wreck it more and make my problems worse, if i cook in it every time I open it the steam goes up and mists the face plate making it wet. Ive used the Vivo wipes to prevent it from getting worse (on reccomendation from the good guys) and its not helping. So easier to not use it at all. >:(Bosch electric oven Model HBN3620AU/01. What is the difference between HBA63S451A and HBA63B450A?
The HBA63S451A has two telescopic rails, quad glazed door and an extra heating function - it is an improvement from the HBA63B450A
Hope that helps!
Can someone please describe to me the difference between the HBA63B550A and HBA63S451A? the new, HBA63S451A appears to be slightly better priced and 65 litres capacity but I am dubious as to why it is cheaper if it's an upgrade? Has anyone bought the HBA63S451A? Thanking you in advance :)

Read more Best regards, Bosch.Hi. I see this oven has a cooling fan. Our current oven has one, and it means the oven shoots hot air into the kitchen the whole time it's cooking — it's noisy, and it drives me crazy. Could someone tell me: is the cooling fan on the Bosch noisy? And how long does it go on for once cooking is finished? Thanks.
Hi there. Yes the oven does circulate hot air into the room from vents at the top. It is very quiet, not noisy at all. Once cooking is finished it remains on for a little while until the temp drops an...
Read mored then it turns off. The sound of the fan is simply that of moving air. What is noisier is the sound of the oven fan which buzzes slightly/gently for a while and then stops. Perhaps your oven fan needs some attention. But as with many electrical devices with motors, sometimes a piece of metal, a panel or something vibrates in sympathy with it and that causes the noise, not the fan. Try putting your hand on various parts of the oven while it is working to see if this is the case. Good luck...and it really is a very fine brand of oven while it is made in Germany.
