Perfect solution to lint free laundry
How i love doing laundry! Clothes come out in perfect condition without dog hair. I did not need to plumb for drainage of the water storage as i simply empty it during cycle; likewise with the lint filters. I mainly use manual setting with heat resulting in not requiring ironing, except for minimal pressing for work shirts. Laundry room does not steam up much.
Purchased in April 2021 for A$1,400.00.

No more Damp walls
Anything that goes in the Washing Machine is placed in Dryer. This products performance is outstanding. Different settings puts me in control love how it also senses when the clothes are dry and turns off. Delayed start is great can set and forget. The only item I don’t place in dryer are Woolens. Love the fact there is no moisture on walls very efficient.
Purchased in June 2021 at RetraVision for A$1,400.00.

Best dryer ever!
I love that the programs actually work as they should. Put a load in for 60min and after 60min, the load is actually dry! No need to add extra time. Which also makes this machine faster and therefore more efficient than my previous machine. The high star rating is well deserved.
This dryer is the quietest I've ever used, leaves the room warmish and totally dry but not overly hot like a condenser dryer and certainly not wet a regular dryer that requires venting.
We were hesitant with the price but after just a month of use so far I'm very...Read more
glad we went with it. Still waiting on an electricity bill since running this machine - we are heavy users of a dryer so expecting good results with the high star rating. Have yet to come across any negatives for this machine.1 comment

What a disappointment
This very expensive dryer doesn't compare well to the old mid-range one it was intended to replace. Like other reviewers of the dryers in this range I couldn't believe that the Bosch didn't reverse tumble. At first I thought it must be a fault but getting on the internet I see loads of other people complaining about it.
Another thing it doesn't do is "cool down" at the end of the cycle. I find that even plucked straight from the machine as soon as it beeps and before the no-crease cycle kicks in my t-shirts are too wrinkled to just fold and...Read more
put away without ironing ... a problem I never had with the older machine. Most dryers turn the heat off before the cycle is finished and tumble for a while to remove the heat from the clothes and this seems to reduce wrinkles. I can't see any reason why a condenser dryer couldn't do this as well. Another thing is that the huge door is set so low that you can't get a standard laundry basket under it so you can't drop the basket in front in advance then open the door. You have to put the basket somewhere else, open the door, move the basket under the door. The start button seems strangely un-tactile... I keep having to press it twice because the first time it doesn't register. In fact all the controls feel a bit cheap for a machine at the top of the range. It's even a bit squeaky when it starts up... that does disappear pretty quick but makes me worry all the same. To be fair I should say something positive. It does generate less lint so this would imply that your clothes would last longer since they are probably getting less harsh treatment. And it's nice not to have to muck around with exhaust hoses (though you can get other condensers for way less money). Even though I gave myself a couple of months to get used to it, basically I find myself just going back to the old dryer with this new one sitting in the corner, an expensive white(ware) elephant. Save your money and buy something for a grand less and make sure you go into a shop first and handle it and work the controls to see how you like it even if you end up buying online.Similar opinion? Poor design, Unreliable. Same problems as WTY88700AU
First of all, this is probably the same machine as the WTY88700AU. A cynical person would say that when the negative reviews here and elsewhere started to build up, they changed the 00 to an 01 so google searches wouldn't find all the dirt.
Whether that's literally the case or not, all of the problems people have experienced with the WTY88700AU are present in the WTY88701AU.
I bought this on the strength of Bosch's reputation, and I'm very sorry I did.

es. Sheets especially will ball up. Second, the filter top, even properly seated, juts out so that the edges of the load constantly rub across its perforated surface and small items like socks get hung up for long periods of time. I've only had the dryer a couple of days but I'm certain that sooner or later a pocket or a trouser cuff is going to catch and stretch or tear, especially when still very damp and more "grabby". My old dryer, which cost a third of the Bosch reversed every 10 minutes or so and had a recessed lint filter that the clothes never touched. And speaking of the filters, now I have two large ones that have to be rinsed (swiping your hand across doesn't work - because of the fineness of the mesh you just push the lint further in). I only have a hot water tap free (cold is attached to the washer) so there go my energy savings from the heat pump technology. Then you've got to shake them out and air dry them before you put them back in, so you can't do another load straight after. If you put them in wet it'll be an "out" for the retailer on a warranty claim. My old dryer I moistened my right hand fingers with a few drops of water (as opposed to litres for a thorough rinse of two filters), plucked the filter out with my left hand, flicked it open, wiped twice with my right hand, dropped the lint in the bin and replaced the filter still in my left hand - all in one practiced motion that took about three seconds. I did that for 10 years after every load, no trouble (it was the drum spindle that failed).Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Best Dryer Ever!!!...just do it :)
We purchased this dryer (WTY88701AU) a few months ago, after our very old F&P died after 10 years.
Well I have been super happy with the choice of the new Bosch Dryer, it is very quiet and no condensation what so ever in the laundry now. The clothes come out lovely and dry, fluffy & warm. I have tried a few of the settings so far, including towels, mixed load, cottons & blankets. I really like how easy it is to operate and how lovely it looks too! There is a nice light inside so you can see when taking clothes in & out of the drum. I also like...Read more

Where does the Bosch dryer WTY88701AU made from?
Jaredrasked
Hi - Im keen to get one of these. We have an older model Bosch washing machine, and it appears that it will be too small in depth for this to sit on top (its about 60x50cm). Is it possible for the washer to sit on top of the dryer instead??? Thanks :-)
