At first the braun cut great. After about 6 months the blade will be dull, no worries go buy replacements. Good luck fining them. Replacement blades cannot be purchased anywhere and even if you could they re $70+. so you now have an expensive paper weight.

Wasn't expecting this to be that good.
Had it for a few years now. Just working to its best and I must say I am impressed.
Definitely something that I would recommend to every one. Specially If you shave 3-4 times a week its the best shaver out there.

I purchased this shaver having never used an electric shaver before. I must say that it is very good. No electric shaver will ever give you the "baby smooth" feeling that a razor blade does, but this shave cuts very close. My main problem with it is around the neck area, I find I have to go over these areas many times to get all the hairs. But apart from that it is fantastic and I'd recommend it to abyone looking to buy an electric shaver.

After last trying an electric shaver about 25 years ago, I decided to check out the new Braun. Settled on the top-end model 790-CC (waited until boxing day sales for a good price!). After years of blade shaving, I was, at first, slightly disappointed by the Braun's shave. But ... and this is important ... after the first week, things changed. My skin & whiskers got used to the electric shave and the result is spectacular. It's not as "close" as you can get with a blade but it's so close it's almost not noticeable. Love it. Easy to clean, comfor...
Read moretable to use and has changed my morning routine for the better. So, if you're changing from blade shaving to electric shaving, get the Braun and let your skin get used to it for about a week before you make up your mind. If you're as pleased as I am, you won't look back!

Just bought the latest Braun Shaver - Had them before but this latest model is a way better shave than all the rest, lasts around 8 years maybe 10 with one set of blades and foil change for me usually. Wont use anything else AWESOME BRAUN
Expensive,blades quickly dull and expensive to replace. The cleaning dock function makes a lot of noise and does not cause any cleaning of the head.Customer service poor. Buy something else!

I tried this shaver for 2 weeks and large inflammations were created on my skin.. it could be the type of the metal that I'm allergic to.. Any way I tried to return as part of the 60 day trial promotion - being under the impression that Braun would send me a check.. Any time that I call them to chase this up I get the same response that "it would be send to you in two weeks". every time... Keep from this 60 day trial promotion from Braun .. keep from Braun
Cleaning is very easy - noisy but easy

First use of this product was impressive; I have been blade shaving for the last 10 years and have used an electric shaver in the past. Shave was close, quick and smooth result. My hair growth was 2-3 days. I don’t have a thick / vast coverage of facial hair. Side, chin and top lip were single pass. Under neck took a couple of passes though this is pretty normal with any shaving method I think. Iv have only used the shaver twice, it was easy to use, the charger / cleaning unit was simple to set up and use. The charge cleaner unit it a bit bulky...

The full cleaning mode I have used once (took 15mins) can take up to (43min according to the manual) again this doesn’t concern me as it is a one push button and you walk away. There is also a quick clean mode. i am only going to use the clean function every 2-3 shaves as once the cleaning fluid runs out, you need to purchase more. The battery and hygiene indicator is a cool function. The shaver is dry only (no shower use or shaving cream). i have no issues with the quality of the shave. Price was the down side to this unit. I live in Australia and bought this off Ebay from America as the price difference was substantially different (I paid $250AU including international postage, taxes and poor AU $.87). At the time of purchase RRP in AU was $549 and couldn’t find online for no less than $350 (hence the American purchase), all I needed was an power adapter (cheap from china). Though i do feel as though a good portion of the price paid goes to the cleaning / charging unit.
