Just purchased a Breville Barista Express Espresso Machine, Black Sesame, BES870BKS, the pressure gauge does not move when expressing the coffee.

Get some beans and test with different coarseness levels and tamping pressure. I have had ground coffee mostly so far but it is a fairly fine grind and the pressure grind ends up at the higher end of the central grey area, probably 1 o'clock on the dial.

I just got mine this morning, set it up, the bean hopper is locked into position ( heard the click) but still have the FILTER SIZE LED flashing. Is there a switch for the grinder or something else that needs doing.
