Wouldnt recommend
I read a few good reviews on this & a couple of bad. I liked the look of it etc. This was the worst microwave I ever purchased. So loud when on, especially when it starts. Does not cook the meal through & the top of microwave gets soooo hot, probably best to cook the meal on top. Returned it the day later. I have now read a few reviews on how hot the top of microwave gets.

Too early to say ????
Well, I read the reviews of pretty much all the microwaves in the market, and guess what, I still couldn't find a single one with highest Stars or customers are happy with that one product. I believe sometimes it depends how we use, where do we keep and things we shouldn't try may affect the ability of any product.
I bought the SAMSUNG ME6144W 40L --- The moment I opened up the box, Microwave out of the box and first thing we noticed the open push button was stucked back of the gap, so obviously thought not good enough and returned the ite...Read more
m to Good Guys. Got on the Google to read the best microwaves in the market and the funny part, all the websites like Good guys, appliances online, etc has an awesome reviews of some products but the same products in Product reviews has got terrible and when I say terrible trust me it is like 1.5 to 2.5 only. So decided to bought this model, first because the name of the company in the market and also it has got a handle option so at least I do not have any issues in the future to get my microwave open and close. I haven't done much with the product, but seems should be ok as I am not a huge fan of microwaves except may hit up my coffee, make some potatoes and normal stuff. Let see how it goes for a while and I may EDIT my review. Stay tuned !!!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Waste of money - died after 18 months
The microwave's heating element has failed after 18 months - the plate turns, but doesn't heat. Everything else works fine, besides the plastic over the start button that started bubbling/peeling within a month of having it.
I purchased this microwave from Target, with it only having a 1 year warranty, now they don't look to even stock it anymore - not surprised.

Hi Breville team,
Thank you for your suggestion, however, I believe the quality of product (and subsequent value) would not be worth the cost of fixing.
Thanks, but no thanks.

We love this microwave
I actually stumbled on these reviews when trying to find where we could buy another of this microwave!
We've had no issues at all. Had it for 5 years, works perfectly. I love it have a handle rather then a button to push that pops it open.
The main feature we use is the quick start. We've used a few other features but not very much at all.
Would recommend to others.

Lasted ONLY 15 Months@!
The plate turns, but it no longer heats. Of course, it's just outside the product warranty period. Microwaves have been around long enough and I'd expect the quality and technology to be better in 2016, rather than worse. Same issue with my Breville Kettle. I've learned the hard lesson that Breville is a poor quality product. They make them to be replaced often, which is where they make their money. However, in my case, it would have backfired because I will not be replacing anything in my home with Breville. Strike 2, you are out.

Useless machine - poor service - Totally disappointed with Breville
We haven't had this microwave very long, 1-2 years. When purchasing I chose Breville thinking it was a safe brand and we wouldn't be up for having to buy another machine this soon after. Unfortunately I don't have my receipt. I rang Breville and explained that it is fairly new, that the heating has stopped working - everything else works but no heat. Not much use is it!!! Only to be told that they can't do anything without the receipt - even if I did (which I am thinking I did) send in the registration when I bought the machine. They also could...Read more
n't help with what might be wrong. Only to look online and see so many other people are having the same trouble so it is obviously a flaw in their machine quality. Poor quality, poor service - totally disheartened and won't be buying Breville again.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Looks good and heats quick!
I have owned the Beville Microwave for almost 2 years and I'm absolutely happy with the cooking results. Its easy to use and the timer lets me know when the food or liquid is ready. The noise of the microwave is bearable and the timer noise can even be heard outside, perfect for when you doing outside jobs. Compared to other microwaves I owned, the Beville Quick and Easy is well built and very functionable.

Fine for 15 months then stopped heating.
This microwave was good while it worked. The microwave was compact enough to fit into our small kitchen cavity. It had decent enough size to fit a full sized plate in it. Loved the fact it is one of only a few microwaves on the market to have a pull push handle. The end of heating beep was excessively loud. The door shut was very loud. The rotating of the plate was loud. Of course just outside of warranty the thing stopped heating food. Would still make noise as if it was working.
Contacted Breville customer service. Advised to ring a nearb...Read more
y service centre. Rang and advised it would be $35.00 fee to look at the microwave and then whatever it would cost to fix it. The person on the phone estimated it may cost $70.00 to fix however could not guarantee this cost until the microwave was inspected. Sounded as though this was a common fault for this model. Hardly worth the effort on a $157.00 purchase. Disappointed by this, wish Breville had 2 year warranties. Probably won't buy another Breville microwave and advise the company they should stick to what they know, toasters, kettles and the like.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Lasted 14 months!
It was used daily for heating food. Only lasted 14 months. Has great cooking features which I never used. Only convinced my husband to get this one as they had free Jamie Oliver knives and chopping board if you bought it.
Really disappointed. I'm now using a Panasonic one!
Expensive knives and chopping board. Lesson learnt

Good microwave for the price
Have only had for 3 weeks, is a bit noisier than other microwaves we've had and it doesn't have a timer which we really miss, and on one occasion had condensation between the inner and outer glass on the door which did evaporate but otherwise we are very happy with it

Sounds like a cement mixer after a few years
Bought this to replace my trust old 850 watt Toshiba that was over 25 years old, when it died. To start with, the beep, beep, beep would wake up half the house when it was done, so not good for a shift worker. But after about 6 months it went so quiet that you had to be a couple of meters away to hear it. Great relief.
I liked the stainless steel finish and the proper pull handle on the door. Also the quick start programs were very handy. It was easy to clean and was always a good performer.
The touch panel started to lift after about 8 mont...Read more

Problems after 4 weeks!
Started having problems about 4 weeks after purchasing....the internal light stopped working. Then after about 2 months the start button stopped working. I have lost my receipt so I am hoping Breville will help me out by letting me know how to fix these problems even though I have no proof of purchase. I am awaiting a return call from the NZ office.

Broke just out of warranty and then again!
I was disappointed that it broke just out of warranty but received great service from Breville and got a replacement. The replacement broke after 5 months. This time Breville tells me that my warranty only runs from the time that I bought the original microwave and will not replace it.

Not great
After around 6 months of use the beep noise stopped. Around 6 months later it started again. Some of the buttons take a few hard pushes now to make them work. Otherwise it seems to work except that it doesn't really feel 1000watt. Bit disappointing that these things keep failing.

Terrible!
Bought this to replace my faithful Panasonic simply because of a change in décor in the kitchen (the stainless steel look).
Bought it on sale at Target and it lasted a week and promptly blew up. Received a replacement under warranty (but had to pay a restocking fee because the first one was bought on sale). The second one lasted 13 months and started making fizzing sounds even when only on standby. Breville tech support suggested I buy a new microwave...duh!
Went back to a new Panasonic...fantastic!

Lesson Learnt
3 years and 3 months later the most important buttons start and stop doesn't work anymore. I paid $200 on sale original price $550. I should have kept my oldie which is probably still going. So I highly recommend invest in a good set of pots and heat your food the retro way!

Does everything I need it to.
I bought this half price in Boxing Day sales for $99 last year and have been mostly pleased with it. That said, I'm glad I didn't pay more.
I had a 1000watt microwave before this and I don't believe this one works quite as well as it takes longer to heat up than my old one did.
I like the pull handle and the buttons are easy to push. Good defrost options too.
I'd recommend this but not at the full price.
Edited to add: after 2 years of use, the microwave started making a loud, electrical buzzing sound. It is so loud we can hear it from th...Read more
e other side of our (admittedly small) home. We have to turn it off at the mains between use because of the noise, but we are concerned about it possibly causing a fire. The internal light also stopped working after 2.5 years. A budget purchase that can't be expected to last. It looks great and works in a fairly average capacity but I will be replacing this after 2.5 years with a more expensive purchase.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Keeps cutting out
I bought the cranberry BM0300 just under 2 months ago, probably only used a handful of times. It has now cut off six times during heating. Last night was the worst, heating some veggies it cut out twice. I don't believe this is safe..I am very disappointed and will be returning it where I purchased it.

One to avoid
Nine months old and it is clicking (could be mistaken for a crackling sound) internally and surging on and off, display panel flickering. I can't use it at all. Time to try and find the receipt. When it does work it is noisy but I can live with that. It's disappointing that after a short time it has malfunctioned with similar problems to what is described by other owners.

I have had a cockroach infestation and recently found a cockroach crawling between the oven door panels. I have no idea how it got in there and even less idea how to remove it. Breville service line has told me that the door is not a serviceable item. Does that mean that the oven is now useless?

Why won’t this microwave pop a bag of microwave popcorn? It only seems to pop half the bag?
2 answers
I have had the same trouble with other microwaves and have discovered that if the wattage isnt high enough it wont pop the popcorn.
I did have a microwave with 900 watt output only to discover that I needed to put the popcorn in twice to get the full bag done and not once, due to the wattage of the microwave.
I do hope that assists you
