Poor Sensor
Installed Brilliant smart PIR motion sensor. No troubles in connecting it to wi-fi. Found that high sensitivity struggles to detect motion from 3 metres away when it states 18metres on the box. Found that it was just randomly turning on when there was no motion at all.. Took product back and got another unit, did the exact same thing. called the company no help at all
Brilliant Fan WiFi remote
I bought a brilliant WiFi controller to put into the fan in my bedroom. Installed no problem and worked great. Can control fan and light through Google as they show up as separate devices.
So I bought a second one for my son's room. Unfortunately the brilliant smart ap calls the light the same name on the second fan, so Google can't see it.
As the fan and light are one device in brilliant ap, I can't rename the light.
This all means Google can see both fans, but only the first light. So basically good product as long as you only have 1 fan in your house.
Slip up in product testing I think.
BAD service and warranty department
Still no call from warranty dept and light still turns on all hours of the night waking my son!!!!! Don't buy Brilliant Lighting products! Promised a call nothing... we are 4 months down the track!
Hi Dave. Can you please advise the warranty claim reference number you received when you lodged through a web portal. We can follow this up and find out why the delay.

Buy Lifx instead
After dealing with constant self-resetting, I went and upgraded my router to one that a Brilliant Smart Staff member suggested. Now trying to reset the globes to link on the new network, one will flash fast and the other is slow (2 lights per lightswitch, 10 globes in total). It is incredibly frustrating. I spent a lot of money on these products and in hindsight I should have bought Lifx globes instead
HI Cameron, Its normally easier to do one at a time. This means disconnecting one of the lights per switch so they can be done individually. Alternatively if you rename your WiFi networks and password...
Read mores to what they were before they will automatically reconnect. The product is junk. Months down the track and im still having dramas. Im saving to install Lifx which is what I should have done in the first place rather than throw away a thousand dollars on your product

Not what it says on the box
Bought 325mm Astro DIY plug in round fan exhaust with LED light. Electrician installed as per instructions. The light is wonderful for my bathroom. The fan is hopeless. Says ‘whisper quiet’ on the box. It’s hardly that. VERY noisy. Don’t recommend, at all.

Spent an hour trying to make it work. Never did.
I bought a WiFi Downlight 9W 750LM CCT LED online. No returns allowed. Spent an hour trying to get it to work. It did work for two days but then stopped working. I just own a flashing light that I can't connect to. I'll just throw it in the trash.
Hi Steve. If you could give our support guys a call on 0397652555 they can help you with your connection problems.
IF you are still having issues then your place of purchase, by law, has to allow you to return.

Not very reliable
my daughter bought two lights for Mother's day for my wife as part of her present. Both lights worked for a few days. One light stopped working and will not reset. Cannot get it to blink fast. Very disappointing
Hi Vincent. If you contact our support techs they can help you reset.

Excellent result
The fan with a built-in light works great but the remote had a faulty button. The warranty call took a long time to action, but a new remote was sent that is perfect. We are very happy now.
Hi Sheldon. Thanks for your feedback. I will inform the warranty dept. Glad your fan is working 100% now.

Warranty Claim is a Nightmare
I bought a few smart spot lights a few months ago, I have been having issue with one of them which sensor triggers with no motion every few minutes, spend hours in the app and more than 20 messages back and forth which didn't go anywhere and I have been kept in the dark. Then I've been advised to open a warranty claim which no one is responding to the claim after multiple follow-ups. I have spent more time on chasing the warranty than the total value of my shopping from this company.
HI MK. Can you advise when you sent your warranty through from our website portal. I can follow up for you.
Cheers
Incident Report through the APP: 20th March 2020
Warranty Claim in the Portal: 7th May 2020 - reference: 58004
Thanks MK.
Will follow up for you now

Hopeless without an app.
Bought four globes. Couldn't register the app. I hadn't even opened the boxes. Impossible to use without the app. This was really disappointing as I didn't even get to first base. Will return tomorrow

PIR SENSOR A WASTE OF TIME. COMPLETE JUNK. GO ELSEWHERE STSY AWAY FROM BRILLIANT
Bought a PIR sensor 20851 and had I have it installed in parallel with my other intelliscan series 2 PIR sensor 18562 so that both sensors operate the same group of lights. The installation is as per instructions and light draw is 45amp, well under the max 150amp limit of sensor. The lights operate 100% fine when movement is detected by sensor 18562 however, sensor 20851 doesn't do anything other than make a clicking noise 3-5 times when lights go on. I have had brilliant lights and so forth in the past and they have always been rubbish. The o...
Read morenly reason we bought a brilliant sensor this time round is cos we already had a brilliant sensor installed. And after seeing all the reviews regarding the warranty department I will not be going through a warranty claim it's probably just as easy to Shell out more money out of my own pocket that I've worked hard for, to go and buy another two sensors and pay for them to be installed and I will just notify as many people as I can about brilliant and the poor quality to every social page I can find on this earth. People also need to read up on consumer law and needing to be notifying the regulatory body so that this company gets shut down it's just beyond the jokeThanks for letting us know. If you give us a call you can speak to one of our tech guys and they can help you work through the problem. If the product is faulty we will warrant it.

Terrible Warranty Service support
Terrible company to deal with when seeking warranty claim. They refuse to help, don't reply, find excuses not to honor warranty claims and are usually just rude. Would never purchase through this company ever again!
Hi Noeleene. Can you advise the name your warranty claim is under so we can investigate. Cheers

Wasted money buying this, and electrician install. Dont bother
Bought this from Aldi. Had my electrician come and install. Downloaded app and paired ok. I was excited! That night i went to show my partner how it worked, and there was no connection to the app, and no sensor working. We've tried multiple reinstalls and other troubleshooting. I just think the wifi bit on it is toast. A waste of time and money. The light cant be manually overridden without the app and wifi. Dont bother or buy. Aldi rubbish

Overall is good, but a few issues
Have been using the smart downlights. Good quality light, with a wide range of colours and choice of whites. Can be setup with voice control. However there are a few software issues, where sometimes the light does not fully turn off - only decreases the brightness. You need to turn the light back on, then off for light to turn off.

Needs an iPad ap
I am an electrical contractor building a house and wrestling with how “smart” to make it. Have purchased a few products to trial and found them to be quite good thus far. Not sure if I will use any voice commands though convenient, it creeps me out a little.
It would be good if there was an iPad app so things could be a little more centrally controlled
The key for any company is getting that first device in so the standard is set and more equipment follows
I will report back when I have tested more but thus far have found the downlight and bulb are working well
Hi John. Great to hear that you have taken the leap into Smart. To use voice commands you will either need to join it with your Google Assistant or Alexa.
The App can be downloaded on to multiple dev...
Last time I checked app shows up as not a full screen on the iPad
It would be nice to have central control
disappointed with this product Austin 48 ceiling fan
No air flow, was a waste of money, my suggestion to any looking for a ceiling fan stay away from this brand. poor performance. i purchased two and going for a refund on the other one.
Hi Edmin. All fans are created different. This is a budget model. We have many fans with far greater air movement. Al of this information is on the boxes to help you make an informed choice.
Temptest Fans- no hi speed
Installed 11 new brilliant Temptest fans into new house 3 years ago.
3 fans now just go slow even on high speed-useless
Lodged warranty claim online as required and to date NO return communication at all.

Read more or send through contact details to [email protected].WiFi A60 LED SMART globes are pretty DUMB
I recently purchased three WiFi A60 LED SMART globes and noticed that the app that you need to install to control the globes shows your WiFi password in plain text.
I've attached a screenshot of their response.
If they can't this security right it makes me worry about giving them the password to my WiFi in the first-place. Who knows what other security issues that don't care about?
If I could give a zero I would
Poor product quality, terrible customer service. They don't reply to emails or calls. After weeks when they finally do, they blame installation. Please avoid for your own sanity and $$$. Wish I had read the reviews before purchasing. All the company does is say, please email us to try and restore their social media imagine. Brilliant Smart, we have called you, you don't want to listen unfortunately. Thays why we are writing a review to help innocent people.

Poor communication and dont care, warranty is worthless. Lodge a complaint!
Purchase two top shelf Avator Fans, just shy of $1000. They seem cheap and nasty, rattling away at pretty much all speeds, louder than TV. Ive had cheap fans before, this is worse! Contacted warranty mid Jan, still waiting for a response, Had enough, going for refund and making some formal complaints to retailer, fair trading and about to go to QCAT as a major failure.
Never again!

Big Fan, Big Air. Little Noise
We purchased our Aviator fan in November 2016 and had it installed shortly after.
It's installed in a significantly sheltered outdoor area and does a wonderful job of making the are feel cool on the hottest days and provides a gentle breeze on a balmy night, all without making any noise.
The DC motor is very efficient at doing its job, 4 watts on low and only 36 watts on high. The fan remote is fully featured, you have six speeds to choose from, can operate the light and even reverse the direction, very handy and makes for a quicker, cheaper ...
Read moreinstallation process. The fan has room for two light bulbs or you can install the included blanking plate should you not wish to use the light function. For us, the light function is used year round, making the fan do double duty for us, providing great illumination of our large outdoor patio. As the remote is wireless and not infrared, it works reliably no matter where it's mounted. Just so long it's within an acceptable range. We have even been able to "tap into" the wireless signal and pair the Aviator fan with our home automation system.- 2 reviews

Terrible Support from Brilliant lighting
My ceiling fan (Brilliant Arctic Fan) stopped working almost a month back. The fan comes with 5 year warranty. I raised support request at Brilliant (01.01.2020) and got a mail that someone will contact me soon. That soon never came. Once again i raised a support request (05.01.2020) and got same mail. Till date nobody bothered to contact. Then, i requested Bunnings (08.01.2020) to intervene as i bought the fan from them. Bunnings team assured me that Brilliant team will get back to me. Nobody did. Now, even Bunnings stopped responding. Are the...

brilliant lighting ceiling fan lights
Had to have many ceiling fan/lights replaced (clicking and rattling noises) after just 2 weeks in new house. Company who built house told us we had to lodge warranty claim directly to Brilliant Lighting. Very poor communication from their warranty staff (particularly John Young) Had to chase up many times.
Have now had some fans replaced 3 times and still same problems. Contacted Fair Trading who said they have had many complaints about this company and directed us to lodge formal complaint with them
