Hi Theresa,
We recommend leaving your carpet to dry for 2 - 3 hours minimum before walking on it. If you have to walk on the carpet prior to that, try putting clean towels down in the areas where you are walking. Drying is assisted by leaving your windows open on warm days (allowing the air to circulate) or by putting on your indoor heating on if it's a cooler day. We hope this assists.

Yes it works on all types of urine stains. We would suggest you check the care instructions on your couch before using it and doing a spot test on an inconspicious area of the couch first.
Britex Urine Remover produces enzymes which destroy the source of the odour, rather than just masking it.

Hi Kenneth, The Britex Deep Carpet Cleaner can be used on carpet, rugs and upholstery. There is an upholstery attachment you can hire for cleaning lounge and car seats etc. We hope this assists!

No we don't have an extension hose available for this. It's a good idea to position the machine at the bottom of the stairs, then clean half way up the stairs. Then carry the machine (without water in it) up to the top of the stairs to clean from the top of the stairs down to the half way point. We hope this helps!

Britex Urine Remover works well on both old and new urine stains on upholstery, carpet and rugs. You simply spray the Urine Remover onto the stains, cover the area with a towel and leave. The enzymes in the formula then draw the urine crystals out of the stain and onto the towel. In the process of doing this, the odour is also destroyed. For stubborn or old stains, you may need to repeat the process more than once.
Because you have no noticeable stains, we suggest you spray Britex Urine Remover on the areas your puppy favoured for his/her accidents.
Because you are saying that the steam cleaning "set" the smell, we are not sure if this will effect the way the Britex Urine Remover works. If you want to try Britex Urine Remover, you can purchase it from the Britex hire stand at Bunnings Warehouse, Woolworths and selected Coles, IGA, Mitre 10 and Home Timber and Hardware stores. It can also be purchased online at Woolworths, Coles and Britex.com.

We recommend against using the Britex Machine on suede. Always refer to the manufacturer care instructions when it comes to deep cleaning furniture and rugs.

If there is soap residue on the carpet then it can't hurt to do a clean water only rinse using the Britex machine, but only so that the carpet gets a deep clean and not because the carpet will need cleaning again after a short time due to soap residue.

Our upholstery cleaning solution is mild with no bleach products. However we always recommend to refer to the cleaning instructions for your rugs and couches before using hot water extraction along with our products.

We don't recommend using the Britex on these types of rugs. Please refer to the care instructions from the manufacturer to check the best way to clean it.

We'd suggest using Britex Odour Blaster spray in addition to doing the upholstery cleaning in your car. Odour Blaster neutralises odours, from cigarettes to pet smells. We recommend using Britex Upholstery cleaner as it will clean thoroughly without damaging the Britex machine. Also, it will leave a much fresher smell than vinegar. Happy cleaning!

Yes it is good for stairs and using the upholstery wand makes it even easier to reach those tight corners. We recommend positioning the machine at the bottom of the stairs - then cleaning halfway up the stairs. Then, carry the unit to the top of the stairs and clean from the top of the stairs to halfway down. When you are wheeling/carrying the unit up the stairs, do it when the water tank is only partially full so the machine is lighter.

Yes the Britex Deep Cleaner is effective on vomit stains. For stubborn stains you can pre-treat the stain with Britex Urine Remover (available to purchase at the Britex stand). The enzyme formula is effective at drawing out stains and odours caused by vomit (as well as urine). When doing the deep clean with a Britex machine, we strongly advise against using boiling water in the machine – it can damage your carpet (particularly wool), the Britex machine and is also a safety concern. Please use hot tap water only.

Just as with DIY carpet cleaning, a level of energy and fitness is required when using the Britex Grout and Tile cleaning system. Using the system, particularly using the brush scrub the grout does require some physical effort.

The advantage of the Britex system is you are not on your hands and knees scrubbing. The brush, when combined with our Grout Cleaning Solution is highly effective at removing dirt and grime from grout quickly. On top of this, our powerful hot water extraction system suctions up the dirt and grime that has been dislodged from the grout – as opposed to when you mop and push the dirt back into the grout.

The level of effort you’ll need to exert will depend on how dirty the grout is – e.g, if the grout hasn’t been cleaned for many years and it’s in a high traffic area, more effort will be required to clean it than if it was deep cleaned 1 or 2 years ago.

In regards to the time it will take, depending on the level on cleaning required, allow 2 to 3 hours. If you have a friend or family member willing to share the job with you – even better! The 24 hour hire period should be sufficient for you. If you decide to hire the carpet wand as well, consider a 48 hour hire.

We have a spray on product call Britex Urine Remover which uses an enzyme formula to remove urine stains and destroy their odour. Stubborn stains will need to be sprayed and left repeatedly. If the urine stains have seeped into the underlay this may be why the odour is lingering after a clean.
