Great Service, great van, great times
Customer service was excellent, the van was ready for us to collect at the time stated, we where shown how everything works and off we went. We spent a couple of weeks driving down the East coast and van never missed a beat, was a dream to drive and we created some fantastic memories. Thanks to all the staff!

Personal service and a great product
Booked a van for 3 weeks travelling. Had contact with the General Manager Allister,on the phone and on arrival in Cairns to start our holiday.
Can’t speak highly enough of our welcome and detailed description of the amenities in our van.
Like to thank Allisters team for their attention to detail and welcome. We left feeling confident about our vehicle and knowing they were only a phone call away if we had an issue. Such a great way to see Australia.
Thank you Camperman

Bad service and customer-care
Hello Everybody,
I would like to share my experience with Camperman Australia.
(A lot of issues and no support)
We booked a camper-van from Cairns to Sydney.
Our journey should start at 10 o’clock, but we received a call that the camper is not ready jet and that we should come later.
We already had plans to drive to a tour, but according to the delay we couldn’t make it.
Nobody cares about that!

Great van + great service = great holiday
These guys really made our east coast trip.
Not only was the van perfect for the 3 of us but the staff really took the time to explain everything and help us.
Thoroughly recommend ;)

Worst camper rental on the planet
Van = scrap! 600.000km, everything is broken! The vans belong in the junkyard. we were a group of 3 vans and all 3 were scrap. The highlight was the cockroach nest under the fridge. Customer service absolutely cheeky! keep your hands off the company!

The best choice of campervan for your road trip !!!
I hired a Maxie for my 3 weeks road trip with my dad and my brother. We travelled from Brisbane to Cairns and this vehicle was perfect for everything : driving was really smooth, the manual transmission is not a problem at all, really easy to handle even if its your first drive in Australia ;) Camping was easy : everything you need for cooking, bedding ( bed sheets, pillow and sleeping bags) is provided !!! You've got a fridge in the vehicle (perfect for the little drink after the driving) ! The inside building is very convenient : both the bed...Read more
s are easy to set up (you just pull up a panel for the top bed under the roof) and the table converts into the big bottom bed. All the windows are set up with mosquito nets so no need to worry about getting hot at night or bugs coming inside ! Everything was explain to us by the friendly staff at the Brisbane depot ! And the drop off in Cairns was as easy and nice ;) I highly recommend Campervan if you want to travel peacefully for a really reasonable budget !!!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great Group
I totally recommend this group for service and professionalism. The admin arm in Cairns handled and answered all my queries in a prompt manner. The guys at the Melbourne depot were simply brilliant - being a first time road tripper, they made my trip experience easy with some amazing tips. Thank you all and I'll be back. I recommend this group for service and added value.

Very good experience !
Our campervan was really a good choice. Although the car was 9 years old and 500.000 km, all the equipment was near perfect and clean. This campervan allowed us to stop in different towns and villages along our trip from Melbourne till Byron Bay and in some cases we had lunch near a river or a wonderful places where we could enjoy Australias nature.
May be mentioned that for the night a good blanket would be useful.

All you need.
Customer service was good. All the payments and bonds handled well. Received the vehicle that we expected. Did a road trip from Airlie Beach to Port Douglas and back, handled the trip well.

thanks i hate it
me any my friends were planing on doing a great trip along the east coast. we thought we managed to get a good deal, not cheap but good. when we arrived to pick the van up we were told that we still needed to pay most of the price. even though we had paid said price befor we even flew to australia. it took quiet awile till we could prove that we had paid. after that the guy showed us the van. a little bit older than what we had expected but okay. he showed us how everything worked and we drove of. after some grocerie shopping we found out that ...Read more

Top Aussie holiday
By far one of my favourite Australian holidays. Campers come equipped with everything and have extra equipment available on request. Great customer service. We delivered our van to Victoria from Brisbane and managed to go via the Barossa valley for a wedding. Got to see quite a bit on the drive but you should try and allow more time to explore the places you visit which was the only downside to our trip. Overall great experience and would definitely do it again as well as highly recommend it to everyone which a need for adventure.

Everything we needed on board.
Quick to respond with quotes for various models we looked at.
We actually got a better model than we had asked for so that was great.
We were on a short holiday so a compact model was fine. Would get a larger one for a longer trip.
6 days/2 people/North Qld in September. We went up the mountain to Wallaman Falls and the camper handled it well.

thanks for the great trip! We’ll be coming back!!
My boyfriend and I rented the Juliette 3 for our trip from Melbourne to Brisbane and we could not have been happier! So much so that we didn’t want to give the van back, it became our little home for a week. It drove really well, and we were so pleasantly surprised with all the extras, such as the cooking equipment! And the bed was so easy to make, by the end of it we were pros!!
The van was lovely and clean, only small issue was that our table didn’t lock in properly but it’s fine, meant we had a spinny table and it was not very fuel efficie...Read more
nt, but we were doing a lot of driving so we were expecting to use a lot of fuel! Thank you again camperman and especially thanks to all the lovely staff, specially the guy we picked the van up from in Melbourne and the lady we spoke to in Cairns who helped us out when we couldn’t find a car wash big enough at the end (you have to return the van clean) We’ve got a few more trips in mind while we’re in oz and we’ll 100% be using camperman again!!Similar opinion? Just very nice!
Good value for money and excellent service. We did a round trip from Cairns in a Maxie, approx 3000km in 15 days, staying in a different place nearly every night. Although a bit old in years and kms, the campervan took this very well. It drove smoothly and quiet. I got the impression they maintain it well.
The camper was very practical. The interior was well maintained and clean. There was plenty kitchenware, though it reminded me a bit of my student house, e.g. three different glasses. Camping chairs and table were of basic quality. Towels a...Read more
nd bed linen were fine. If you want everything brand new, maybe you should look further. However, that's not the way we usually camp. Mashel in the Cairns office was very responsive and she helped out beyond expectation when I wanted to change my booking. No small print or unexpected extras that you have to take. A clear deal, including insurance. These people gave me the feeling that they actually want to help you have a good holiday. We're a family of three and Camperman was tho only company that had campers where my son could sit between us in the front. The premium companies only had child seats in the rear, with no proper view out. No regrets that I did not go with one of those, especially when you consider the price difference!Similar opinion? Value for money !
We made a one way trip from Airlie Beach to Cairns
Camping mostly unpowered sites, that was no problem for the battery.
The van was clean and in good condition.
The terms and conditions were very well explained by the staff.
Returning the van went easy and swift.
For us it was a great way to visit the north-east of Queensland.

Good vehicle and value for money
We (2) hired a Juliette3 for two weeks in July out of Cairns. The van whilst being a little old (hence the lower rental price!) was in excellent condition - clean and with a new looking set of tyres. We were shown around the vehicle on pickup, with the equipment and usage of items explained. The vehicle was equiped with enough bedding, cooking utensils, etc to make it comfortable. We tavelled up through the Atherton Tablelands, on to Cooktown and then back to the Daintree. The van never missed a beat.. very reliable. The staff in Cairns were all very friendly and informative from start to finish. Our bond was returned after two weeks as promised. We would recommend using this rental firm and would not hesitate to use them again.

Disappointed with the conditions of the van
We were very excited about hiring the Campervan and our trip. However, we got disappointed just in the first seconds we saw the van "Juliette" that was waiting for us. It was an old, dirty van with more than 550000km and 10 years old. This fact put me down as we had planned a trip for 50 days and had my doubts that this van was going to be reliable.
After picking up the van, we went home to give a quick wipe and get a nice fresh air. My surprise was when I opened the cupboards under the sofa to find soil and dirt in each compartment. Even beh...Read more
ind the the front seats, we found old receipts and a bonnet from previous travellers. Despite the cleaning rules and conditions, I can tell you that our van did not have a cleaning inspection. Not hygienic!! Three days after starting our trip, my partner was laying on the bed when he realised that the screws that hold the straps of the top bed were missing. At the top bed there are some straps that hold the woods and the bedding for the top bed. The fact that only two screws were holding the whole lot could have caused a serious accident, in the event of a hard break while driving. So, my partner tried to fix it by adding one of the screws from the straps holding under the top bed. What is more, the cupboards under the sofa kept sliding open, while we were driving. In every city where there was a Campeman Depot, we took the van for inspection and despite telling them that the cupboards opened while driving and that some screws at the top bed were missing, they said that it was ok and that’s the best they could fix it. The cupboards kept opening while driving, specially on the curves, and we continued our travels with just 3 out of 5 screws at the top bed. Very unsafe!! During our travels, one of our wheels went flat. The mechanic decided to use the spare wheel, which had ONLY 24 kPa pressure. Unbelievable!!!! We hired the van with full trust that the whole van had been inspected and serviced, but actually Camperman doesn’t care about the safety of people who hire their vans. We were lucky to get the tyre flat in the city, but it could have been in the outback, in the middle of nowhere with a 24kPa tyre pressure on the spare wheel. Very careless!! On the day we returned the van, the lady at the office told us that they don’t service the van. Actually, that evening the van was going straight to Melbourne and none was going to service it after we had done more than 8000km. Very unsafe!! Camperman should make sure that all vans are checked before starting a new journey both mechanically and the interior of the van. People like us hire the vans with full trust that the vehicles are ready to start new journey safely. By the looks of it, Camperman is just using and abusing the vans for the sake of making a huge benefit at the cost of people’s lives and experience. Hold the business, but do a good job! Make sure the vehicles are serviced 100% and the equipment is in good conditions.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Poor attention to detail
Overall not too bad but could have been a lot better. Upon arrival at the depot in Adelaide the campervan (Paradise toilet/shower) was ready to go. We were given hardly any guidance on how anything worked including but not limited to emptying the toilet, changing the gas, how to set up table and bed, how to fill the water tank etc. In fact the only thing we were shown was how to check the oil. When we were shown around it the first thing the lady said was 'I'll show you the faults first", and that was 75% of what were shown.
When we booked the...Read more
camper there was an optional extra of a fan heater but when we arrived we were informed they do not have any. It was -3 on the first night and incredibly cold inside the van. The above encounter was made 10x worse by the fact that when we opened our sleeping bags 1 was ripped down the side and the other had a broken zip resulting in us buying new ones. I informed Camperman and to their credit they offered to cover the costs but come on were they really not checked, and no one noticed. Despite being repeatedly told to return it with an emptied toilet the same courtesy was not returned to us. There was an incredibly strong smell of urine despite it never being used at that point by us. We had to buy air freshener just to bare sitting in it. The inside door handle on the sliding door was broken off, meaning my girlfriend could not reach the other handle resulting in me having to open the door every time she had to get out. The back door also did not open making it awkward when trying to store items. These two issues were brought to our attention upon pickup; problems but no solutions. We didn't pay $2000 for a van with known faults we paid for one in good working order.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

How old are your campervans in average and with how many milage (paradise shower/ toilet)?
1 answer
The vehicles are old with very high mileage. According to their advertising the vans are 2006-2012 so don't expect a new and modern van because you won't get one!
