Poor Service
Vinyl FlooringVinyl Flooring booked & paid for with installation scheduled 03.02.15 - not completed on that day - many phone calls later & will call back (they don't) the flooring is finished today (03.03.15) with 4 small pieces of vinyl 6 inches wide patching a reasonably heavy traffic area. Very poor service - I guess once something is paid for no one cares.

Thanks for the information. We do apologise for the delay as we short measured the job. In relation to the joins, the room is 4.8m wide where the vinyl comes in 4.0m wide rolls so there has to be joi

The vinyl laid also exceeds Australian Standards as we ensure all our jobs do. We certainly do care about all jobs we lay as they all carry our installation warranty. We do sincerely hope you do enjoy your flooring for many years to come.
Great customer service! Thanks Dale! (Rockingham, WA)
Vinyl FlooringAfter a bad customer service experience at a flooring store on the same road we decided to try Carpet Call, Rockingham (WA) (28th Jan 2015). The previous store's staff member did not show much enthusiasm to help us at all, but Dale from Carpet Call was really friendly, had a positive attitude and did all he could to help us. The transaction was smooth, did not take long, and my Mother and I both walked away very happy. It is service like Dale's that turns a random walk-in into a loyal customer, as we will definitely be back for any flooring solutions we may need in the future. Keep up the great work!
Worst Experience Ever
Vinyl FlooringOvercharged me on square meterage to install vinyl planks in my house. Then want payment of full amount 2 days before installation, then on day of installation installer calls me to say he's loading and that I need to come up with another $1,000 to $1,500 because what I had chosen needed floor prep. I cancelled job and took them 1 week and many calls to get my money back. I have told everyone I know never to use them.
Hi Chrissy, I am sorry to hear about your poor experience at our store. Would you please pass on the job number and state you are from so we can follow this up.
This Company should not exist!! Disgusting Service. Unprofessional Staff.
Vinyl FlooringThe sales manager in Cannington Branch of Carpet Call offers no after sales service. The signed agreement was for Carpet Call to supply and lay vinyl floor. The written scope of work says inclusive of “to remove existing vinyl and scrape floor”. Total cost $1922. Invoice 00167. On the day their contractor turned up and as soon as he saw the existing vinyl floor, he advised that he was not told of the vinyl floor was to be removed. Clearly, a lack of communication with Carper Call. He also demanded extra $700 for preparing the floor. I contacted
... Read more the Manager of Carpet Call. He denied their responsibility. I reminded him of the above written scope of work. He bluntly said that floor prep was excluded. Any person with common sense would have perceived the quote written as is should have been all inclusive. I sent him a 3 page letter to clearly explain my situation. He was gutless in responding. I had everything cleared in the rooms for the new vinyl to be laid. I had no alternatives but to pay the contractor directly in order to get the job done. Throughout the event, no one from Carpet Call even bothered giving directions as to what to do. They are the specialist and should know the workscope at the time when quote was prepared. Sadly, their focus was on ripping off this customer who wrongfully put his trust on a company who is supposed to be dominant in the trade. Look at the reviews. 2.3 out of 5. The low rating says it all. I should have checked the review before signing the contract. On hind sight, I was charged a certain amount to scrape the floor that they in fact did nothing. Absolutely nothing. Instead, they toweled cement material to fill the voids between old glue that should have been scraped off and allowed for in the original contract. I was ripped off twice. Call Call Carpet Call – expert in the trade. WHAT A JOKE!! The worst part of the matter is Carpet Call will not start work until full payment is made. They have no pressure in actively seeking a resolution. Stay away from them.
Dear Kevin, We are sorry to hear about your poor experience. I have escalated this to management so they are aware of your situation. Floor prep is a very difficult situation as it is hard to know

When your quote is inclusive of scraping the floor and no mention of possible extra work deemed required, it is unacceptable to charge extra $700 for a job
... Read morethat was initially less than $2k. I have taken some videos and over 2 dozens of photos to record how the floor was prepared by your contractor. They can be made available at your request. What I (being a qualified civil engineer with 28 years of experience) noticed was instead of scraping the floor that Carper Call should have allowed for in your quote, he simply used runny cement type material to smoothen up the floor with a trowel. No remedial work was noticed to rectify alleged unsuitable pre-existing conditions. Yet I was left behind an extra bill to pay whilst I have a disgruntal tenant asking for a prompt resolution so that they can have their living room and kitchen back. I told the branch manager that I had to give them some money to compensate their meals as the kitchen was unserviceable. What response did I get from the manager? NONE. This is the kind of pathetic behaviour that your professionally trained staff has offered to me. If you are really keen to find out what went wrong, I would suggest you asking the manger a copy of the letter that I sent him. Dated 26 October refers. You said that in your response that you have escalated the matter and would follow up. I will remain skeptical till I hear back from you.Find out how Carpet Call Vinyl Flooring compares to other Home Decor Shops

Disgusted by Carpet Call.
Vinyl FlooringDisgusted by the whole situation. Broken window, damaged freshly painted walls. phone calls not returned, promises made that were not kept resulting in lengthy delays. 3.5 weeks so far to lay a floor and it is still not finished Shame, shame Carpet Call. Unfortunately unhappy customers are never repeat customers and share the bad experiences.
Dear Wilson, I am sorry to hear about your poor experience. Would you please respond with your job number so we can find out what went wrong.
It has already been sent to you. This seems to be your automatic reply

Vinyl FlooringI purchased some vinyl from the Midland store last weekend (1/11/2014), which I intend to lay myself this weekend (8-9/11/14). When I purchased, I specifically asked the Carpet Call salesman in Midland if I could collect the vinyl the following weekend on Saturday morning, to which he assured me I would be able to. So today I went all the way to the head warehouse in Stirling to collect the vinyl, only to be told that "there are no warehouse staff", and I was advised that I could only collect the vinyl during working hours during the week.

Read more am disappointed that I spent a large part of my saturday morning driving all the way to Stirling only to be turned away, particularly given I was assured by a Carpet Call representative in Midland that I could collect it. I called one of the salespersons at Midland following this event to express my disappointment, and he advised that he will arrange a solution for me. I would like to suggest to management that processes need to be refined to ensure communication occurs in the future between the warehouse and sales offices.Satisfaction from start to finish
Vinyl FlooringThe customer service we experienced from Carpet Call was outstanding and we are more than satisfied with the finished product.
A very big thank you to The staff from the Helensvale Store with extra special thanks to the team who completed the job. All of these people impressed me with their high level of customer care.
Quality product at competitive price.
Carpet Call - can't trust them - get the run around
Vinyl FlooringWe ordered vinyl flooring promised to be in stock after checking their computer, and paid a deposit at Artarmon. They emailed back saying it was not in stock after all, but other colours may be, and when we tried to accept the delay, they kept advising that the colour we wanted was not available each time with further delays. We could not understand this, so thought they may want to up the price with a different vinyl. They offered and we requested a refund. However after two unresponded emails, a number of phone calls (one which said the line

Read morehad been disconnected - are Carpet Call going out of business?), and 3 shop visits and a statement that I would contact Fair Trading (no they cannot refund at the shop - head office has to do it - but it will be done - but it wasn't!), the manager rang back after 2 weeks of worrying it through to say the $290 will be refunded to my credit card in another 3 days. I've just got it back. Thank you to the new manager at Artarmon. What a waste of time this company is. We ordered a similar vinyl in stock from Carpet Right for the same price and it was delivered the same day. Why do Carpet Call tolerate this lack of integrity by their branch and head office staff? Good quality vinyl was supposed to be available Cannot trust what they sayDear Phil,
I’m sorry to hear about your poor experience at our store. We really appreciate you taking the time to offer us feedback.

Really happy with service from Mooloolaba store
Vinyl FlooringWe needed commercial vinyl and hardwearing carpet for our business. [name removed] took the time to find products that were on sale and then organised very competent and reliable installers. When the product we ordered wasn't available at the time of install, another quality product was made available and a further discount was applied. When we needed another job done, we immediately called [name removed] and the same good service was repeated.
