I love my Chiminea Classic

published

Three years on and it is the best investment I have made, I just talked my mate into getting the same one and he is rapt with it. He purchased the wheeled base and now I think I want one. I might lend him my pizza oven that sits on top.

Purchased in June 2021 at Aussie Heatwave Outdoor for A$1,000.00.

Great Cast Iron Chiminea

published

The best cast iron chiminea by far!

published

We love a fire and started with a clay chiminea. It cracked after a few months and was becoming dangerous so researched and bought an Aussie Heatwave, now 7 years later we are cooking pizzas, BBQ's and potatoes in foil as well as enjoying many, many fires. Would recommend it to anyone.

Stands the test of time - Excellent Quality Chimenia

published

I have had my Aussie Heat Wave for 15 years and it gets used a lot. It looks even better than when we first got it because it is well seasoned. It is one full cast unit so there are no warps or cracks. And we have had it red hot!! It has lived at three houses and it is tough!! It is terrific for our ranch balcony. Tonight I purchased our second one and plan to have them both going together under the large pergola. The BBQ and Pizza attachment is also amazing. Everyone loves it -. We now need two because we run out of space for people with only one - everyone needs to be able to pull up a chair.....!

Product update.....July 2018. It's now been 16 years since I bought my Aussie Heat Wave and it is still going strong....

I have had one if these for 3 yrs made a frame for it to stand on so it doesn't take up space on the deck still throws plenty of heat I have also added a flu as it was very smokey on start up and when adding more timber would recommend a flu if using to heat a roofed area 10/10

Cast iron chiminea

These are amazing, weigh 100kilos, made in one cast, look fantastic, give out plenty heat and burn smokeless. They are by far the best chimineas available, made in australia, it will outlast us for sure. The company were also excellent communicators and i'd not hesitate to recommend them, plus you can purchase bbq or pizza attachtments to put on top. Yet to try our pizza oven it only arrived today!
Built to last an eternity and look fantastic

2016, 2 years later and the Chiminea is like a good red wine, gets better and better as it ages. Everybody who sees it wants one. Go Aussie Heatwave!!! We're still loving it. If you want a Chiminea then this is the one to get.

Hi, we are just a customer, I think there was another chap who did a review who put a flu on his, but to be safe I would contact the company, they were very helpful and I'm sure will give you all the details you need. We are still lovin ours without the flu. Thoroughly recommend and they look tremendous, good luck.

Hi fitting a flue was easy the sections fitted well with minimal modifications a I had to make a bracket to Brace the top of flue to keep it stable

Easy, get a mate or guy to weld one up out of quality steel pipe. Use as wide a flue pipe as you are able (so that the fire draws and doesn't smoke out your under roof area) and get the guy to put a dog leg in it so it sits outside your eaves held in place by a metal strapping bracket. You will have to measure how far your eaves stick out. Our mate made one for us and it works really well. He welded little bits of steel to the bottom end so that it sits nice and snug on the top of the Aussie Heat Wave without smoke leaking out the joint. The flue is easy to take off if we wanted to. Our flue addition is 5 years old now and has a nice seasoned rust patina that matches our Aussie Heat Wave. It looks great. Our second Aussie Heat Wave doesn't have a flue because we use the BBQ/Pizza Oven attachment on the top. So we have the best of both worlds.
