Happy with carpet result but not with application
NSWI now realise that different franchise owners use different carpet cleaner machines and this is not mentioned before he comes. I got the old dry cleaner. Although I’m happy with the end result, I was not happy with the application. Twice I had to wipe up the spray on the kitchen tiled floor, where I had to stand, as it made it dangerously slippery. Then had to wash it after he left. Also, I found he had the spray half way up the wardrobe mirror door, so now all that needs cleaning. To cap it off, he left a handful of cat hair from his broom in my kitchen sink. Very sloppy workmanship!
No Response From Online Request
NSWTwice I've used the online form to request a quote. No response.
Fantastic service
NSWI received such a great service from the ladies this morning. They were helpful and went above and beyond to provide me with an excellent service! They also gave me some free advice on how to help with pet fluids! I would highly recommend!
Unhappy with work
NSWI had cleaned furniture, skirting boards etc before Frank came to clean carpets. Had to do so again after he left. Grey fluff sticking to legs of lounge, chairs, skirting boards, along bottom of doors etc. spray stains along furniture, doors, mirrored wardrobe doors etc. Still trying to remove some of that staining. Had to vacuum carpets several times on very humid days and there are still many stains on hall carpet. Would definitely not recommend using Chem Dry Glow.

Bad workmanship and bad customer service
NSWHave used chemdry before and be very happy. Used this time before an interstate move. Operator is Frank Mohhaddas - was borderline rude on arrival to thr point I almost told him to go and not bother but needed it done for inspection and a sofa to move interstate. Was told drys in approx 6 hours. White linen sofa had marks from where it was not done correctly and leaching from the wood frame stained the sofa. This was discovered after the sofa arrived at new place. Complained and have now been told that it was due to improper shipping and stora
... Read morege as despite the move happening a few days later he claims the sofa was still wet and we should have told him earlier. The specialist who came to redo the work told us what was wrong and that the cleaning was done incorrectly. Obviously Frank has used the move as an excuse for his bad work and won’t own the problem - STEER CLEAR OF THIS CHEM DRY OPERATORRude, unprofessional.
NSWThere are a few negative google reviews that talk about feeling threatened and intimidated by Norman from this company. Based on my experience with Norman, I can concur and say he is rude and unprofessional.
I asked for a quote and requested it be emailed to me. Norman responded, rather abrupt, telling me to send a phone number. I explained again that I wanted the quote emailed (please) as I was sourcing several different suppliers.
His response was:
"If you are not interested in sending your number for our system we will probably not be the right for for you.. obviously you have not experienced a carpet clean.
Many thanks"
and then a minute later he sent:
... Read more "Please don’t compare us to others.. We are not for everyone. We are a premium bespoke eco friendly quick drying carpet and upholstery cleaning and restoration company - where quality is our main focus . … If price is your main concern and sourcing for a small job like this and not a quality eco friendly quick drying clean we will not be the best fit for you . I’m trying to help you not convince you . Regards Norm I’m here to get a fair price for what I do well ." That was verbatim and copied from his emails. I can understand needing a mobile number to confirm a booking, but when you are sourcing quotes for an end of lease job for carpet cleaners/ movers/ cleaning companies and don't want your phone ringing constantly, I feel it's reasonable to ask for a quote to be emailed through. Other companies can do it, I might add. I responded by pointing out how rude and unprofessional he was being ("obviously you have not experienced a carpet clean"? What on earth was that about?). He responded by telling me the system worked on SMS only (despite the fact he was repeatedly emailing me from his iPhone) and then copied and pasted his last email again. Just in case I didn't read about this wonderful, not for everybody, premium bespoke service the first time. I didn't book his services so I can't speak to the quality of them, but their customer service is absolutely dreadful.Cheats
NSWI got a quote for 310 over the phone from them but was told they can adjust the quote upon inspection, I normally pay $230 for 4 rooms, stairs and lobby but hired them as my regular service was unavailable and they are green certified and I thought they’d adjust the quote. They quoted me $5 per step which came to $80 and normally it’s $30 for the entire staircase! I have 2 cats so I specifically wanted areas under the 2 beds and couch cleaned as I’m unable to clean there but they were not able to do this because their wand was too big!!! That i
... Read mores essentially half the size of each room and they refused to reduce the cost, instead said they’ve quoted less because my house is bigger than they imagined- I was shocked at this! I have a light ikea couch which I asked them to move and clean under but they said they don’t move furniture! My regular service cleans under both beds and moves the couch so I was surprised at their attitude. They did not leave the windows open or the fans switched on so I had to do it. Their website says 1-2 hours to dry, the technician said 3-4 hours but because of the rains give it 5-6 hours and it was still very wet after 7 hours, there were some bits of paper and rubbish still in a few areas so I doubt they did a great job- overall I’m very upset and should have just canceled but I wanted to get the cleaning done before my scheduled annual pest control service. I’m sorry that in my haste I didn’t check their reviews before calling them. I would definitely not recommend them, poor service and extremely overpriced.Good, but poor communication, looks like they mislead clients about their price.
NSWWe called for two lounge cleaning. They gave me quote $70 per seating position, After they clean the lady showed my two chase of sofa that 3-4 person can seat & charge me 4X $70 for my per standard chase of my sofas . That is horrible experience for us . Still uncleaned all the corners of my sofa . Charged us $842. Horrible experience from the company who can cheat regarding the price. .Would never call or recommend. I didn't read any review before, somewhat seems like a bullying service from their company.Even didn't send me invoice. Those cheat lady kind of bullying my husband to pay straightway on her hand held eftpos.
Abusive, bullying towards a single mum with a ten month old baby
NSWI made an enquiry online the week before to get an idea of prices for a carpet clean the following Thursday. They gave me a quote, overpriced might I add, and I asked them to provide an invoice to my email. They never did. The South African owner contacted me the day before and demanded payment of an invoice I never received. I asked them not to come as at this point he was calling me names, I had my ten month old baby in the background crying, he was demanding payment and if I did not pay him he would show up at my home address the following morning. I've never been so scared and intimidated in my life. I live alone and am not accustomed to such abuse after making one query. He also threatened to call the police on me if I did not pay.

Intimidated and Overpriced
NSWI did not read any reviews before the operator attended. I declined to pay cash as demanded, as I needed to pay into a bank account and receive an itemised receipt for our real estate agent. I felt too intimidated to remain at home whilst the service was completed but paid a (somewhat) agreed (but without GST) inflated fee. I could not afford the further GST and additional charges requested of me, and was pressured to pay over $100 extra on the day. It appeared the service was peformed as agreed but I would not recommend ChemDry as the experience was extremely stressful. I have never experienced this style of "bullying" from a service provider or tradesman before.
Overpriced and makes no difference
NSWUsed Chem Dry Glo. Extremely disappointed - there was absolutely no change to the carpet. I paid around $400 for leather cleaning and all they did was use Glitz leather cleaner - absolute joke! It was just wiped over!
Excellent job
NSWI chose ChemDry because the cleaning product is allergy free and I was promised same day drying for mattresses and carpet. The stair carpet took a bit longer to dry but we could still use it, everything else dried within the day.

Made my couch look new!
NSWI have a 7 year old couch that I have never had professionally cleaned. I’m so glad I called Chemdry because it now looks new! I even get comments from family! Thank you!
Does not do the job
NSWGuys were great and very helpful, the cleaning looked to start well, but extraction wasnt used & a rotating pad substituted.
That was where it all turned pear shaped as after it had dried which was 4-6 hours later, there was a sticky coarse residue left on the carpet, which felt rough to walk on.
It smelt ok for a while then the initial odours re emerged & the carpet looks much the same.
a day or so later I cleaned a spill with a carpet cleaner I have & the amount of residue that came out of the carpet was amazing, it looked like dirty dish w
Complete waste of money
NSWI booked a carpet cleaning for end of lease clean for two small rooms (and I mean small). I was quoted 195, the guy spent 25min going over the floor with what looked like an oversized fluffy mop head, the job was done and the carpet looked like it had just had a decent vacuum. No stains treated or removed. I wasn’t expecting a miracle but this is an absolute con and the guy who showed up knew it. He was inexperienced, didn’t want to engage in any conversation whatsoever and was evasive when queried. I was recommended this company by my real estate agent and wish I had read all these other reviews before going ahead. Would never use them again.
