Worst service ever. Four visits - no heating or cooling at the end.
I would give a zero star review if I could. Had my ducted heating and evap cooling serviced by Coldflow in November 2018 -$350. Didn’t use my cooling in summer 2018 as ceiling fans were sufficient that year. First use of heating in July 2022 and it was obvious that something was wrong. Coldflow came out another two times and charged me a call out fee every single time. They never brought the equipment they needed on the day. After a month of this, I was told there was nothing they could do and I should just replace my whole system. Wow!...Read more
Would have been nice to be told that during the service in November. I ended up having another company replace my heating system. Then comes January 2020. Turned on my evap cooling system for the first time. The controller says “service required”. I call up and am told it’s due for it’s two year service. I point out it’s just over 14 months, well inside the two year mark. “Oh... well, it’s outside it’s labour warranty period so if we come out it’s a call out fee”. Are you kidding me? Your guys have already been here numerous times and I’ve paid through the nose for it, and every time you leave, I still have no heating or cooling. They had the records of all their visits to me and my November service but it didn’t matter. I told them I was disappointed and would be putting in a bad review. They didn’t care. Hope you, the future client, does. Don’t use these guys! They are absolutely terrible and don’t care about the customer.1 comment

great to have cooling this summery
melbourne has sick weather, you need heating and cooling melbourne. Coldflow were fast to respond, and competitive. All installed within 7 days from when i gave go ahead. Breezair evaporative cooling feels like a lovely sea breeze.

Five-week ordeal
Our Brivis evaporative cooling unit on the roof was working well and we just wanted it to be cleaned. We booked for Coldflow to clean our unit ($300) on 18th Nov 19. After cleaning, the serviceman came down with a pipe (called the water distribution pipe, part# B008913) in his hand. He said the pipe was cracked at the joint to the unit cover and therefore needed to be replaced. Coldflow to order the new part, despite having made numerous calls to their Service Dept. We found it very frustrating dealing with their Service Dept, as they never appeared to take your calls seriously. During that period, we had to sleep on the couch downstairs in hot days (e.g. 41 degree on 18th Dec, 44 degree on 20th Dec). Finally, the same person came back to put the new pipe in on 24th Dec (charged another $250). Now, the cooling appears to be working, however we don’t know why that we are no longer able to adjust the fan speed from the highest speed setting using the wall manual controller (which was always working before the cleaning). The serviceman told us that it had nothing to do with him.1 comment

No show, no communication and poor customer service
Booked a repair for my AC and took time off work to be home during the 4 hour scheduled time.
Unfortunately, no one showed up and there was no call or anything to warn me of this. When I called 45 minutes past the scheduled time to see what was going on, I was put on hold for 15 minutes and then told they'd follow up and get back to me, but never heard back.
I can appreciate that schedules might shift during the busy christmas period, what frustrated me most was the lack of any communication.

Constantly rescheduling at last minute.
Hi, Coldflow Springvale rang and left a voicemail message saying they need to reschedule the service for the air conditioner at another date. This is the 3rd time this has happened! I am beyond fed up about this and it's not fair for the tenants to have to wait all day for the technician to turn up, only to find out they're not coming. I have already paid $195 in advance for the service. Reference number is CSJ1911742. Can someone please turn up and do their bloody job! Thank you.

Terrible service
Booked a service call between 8-12, no one arrived phoned just after midday to find out what was happening, said they would followup and get back to me. NO call back, phoned again at 12.30 was told technician was on his way and would be there at 1.00 - 1.25 still no technician, saw the van arrive as I was leaving to going out

Coldflow Evaporative Cooling
Daniel from Coldflow provided a quote for new evaporative cooling in our double storey house. The installation went ahead on the agreed date and the installers were in and out in a morning. The system is great and we are really happy with the product and service.

Excellent service
Had coldflow come out to look at replacing our very old ducted heating service, they came within a couple of days of my online enquiry, gave a few options to choose from with out being pushy, then booked the job in for 2 days following, which was completed by 2 lovely guys and they cleaned up after and took all our old ducted system. All staff were great from start to finish, extremely happy with our new system, will book our aircon ducted through them in the near future, and recommend to everyone.

Pathetic and incompetent service
Avoid this company at any cost.
We had 3 Daikin units installed in our bedrooms with Coldflow. First night with cooling option we woke up at night from the sound of leaking roof. Air conditioning above our head was pouring water in our room. First thing in the morning was to call Coldflow to send someone and rectify. As this was an obvious hazard as unit was wired directly to the power, the whole day this pathetic company could not find anyone to come and have a look. As next days are weekend, we got slot only for Monday. Not to mention that this might be the case with the other two units. We have paid close to $7000 to have some incompetent people create hazard in our home.
Also, have a look at some of the work done by their crew.

Excellent Service Raj
Raj from Coldflow was onsite today to repair air conditioning split system. He is knowledgeable, able to pin point the issue and repaired it quickly. Excellent service. Highly recommend Raj for future repairs.

Done with ease
I needed a replacement for my old evaporative cooling system and called Cold Flow. I was visited by a consultant, quoted on a recommended system and it was installed, all within 8 days. This included a delay for bad weather. Couldn't be happier with the people involved and the overall service

Great service
I was looking for replacement unit. End up with five quotes to choose from. I liked Cold Flow business model most. Technician turn up on time for initial site inspection. Quote was produced for my consideration within 2 days. Price for heating unit was so competitive, I decided to add to the job duct replacement, as my system was over 20 years old. Following week On the day do installation a licensed plumber with two mechanical plumbing apprentices turned up, on time! By early afternoon job was completed. Thermostat programmed to my preference, garage floor swept, old unit and ducts taken away. Possibly best service by trades service people I have ever received. Thanks a lot!

good prices, good service
had my gas ducted heating and evaporative cooling changed over by Coldflow, sales rep came out was quite experienced ex. plumber, assessed what others could not. Got the job installed; good heating and cooling makes a big difference.

The worst company l have ever had the misfortune to deal with!
2 years ago we got new ducted heating and cooling with Coldflow. Even though they were really expensive, we wanted to go with a reputable company. 2 years on and we got our heating and cooling units serviced. Firstly, when they organised installation of the units (on a Saturday) they failed to mention that they don't do any servicing on weekends.. only Monday to Friday till 4pm. il stains on our brand new (3 weeks old) coloured concrete driveway (it was not necessary to park in our driveway to perform the service). I contacted Coldflow on the Monday, left my details and reason for the call and had no reply for several days. I rang again to be told l needed to send an email (which l did the same day). After more follow up with the company, an external subcontractor was in touch to organise cleaning the oil spots. He was so helpful and tried his best to resolve the issue (Coldflow could certainly take tips from him on how to treat their customers). Unfortunately, despite his best efforts to remove the oil spots, they are still showing and the concrete that has been cleaned is now a slightly lighter colour than the rest of the driveway. We requested that Coldflow organise for our entire driveway to be cleaned so that the lighter part of the driveway would be the same colour and the oils spots less noticeable. Coldflow refused to do this, in fact told me that it's our prerogative if we wish to clean our entire driveway, but it will be at our cost. It WAS NOT our prerogative for the service technician to park in our driveway and damage our property. Coldflow, your customer service is non existent and you obviously do not care about your customers or their property. I would not recommend Coldflow, we now have damaged property and additional costs involved in trying to fix an issue that your employee caused. Lisa2 comments

Evaporative cooling is cheaper to run, you are essentially running a fan and small water pump. Water runs through a porous membrane from which air from outside is drawn through. The wet membrane cools the air which is delivered to your home via ducts. Same principal as portable evaporative coolers of old. The down side is it leaves the interior air quite moist. If you have tiled floors it's a no no. Refrigerated units are 1; reverse cycle- they can heat and cool-. 2; cool the air much faster. 3; if used in a split system configuration can be used to heat/cool 1 room. Multiple heads can be used. Refrigerated units can also be ducted. I have had both types in my homes, my rental has an evap cooler, my own home has a refrigerated unit (Fujitsu), I can turn it on/off, set the temp etc via my mobile if I choose. In winter instead of using the gas ducted heater I can switch on 1 or 2 zones and heat just those area's. I will NEVER GO BACK to an evap again.
