A weird company
You pay between 55 and $60 a year to be a member of this retail empire, Costco says that they make a profit out of the membership fees only They sell a lot of quirky things
And yet the prices are not very cheap, and yet I saw a multiple carat diamond for sale for $220,000, I don't think anyone would buy and take it home to their trophy wife and said I got this diamond for you at Costco!
When you buy meat there it's excellent, but I don't know what's going on with the price of meat in Australia, it's very expensive
you have to spend a lot of ...Read more

My favourite Shop!
I am so grateful to be a Costco member as I get great affordable prices and bargain with brand names. The workers are all very kind, professional and great service as our family goes once a week to do shopping.
June 6th 2018 Update: Great customer support
The lady at the counter was very kind and helpful for me to get a mobility scooter for my shopping!

Cash Grab Atm Lidcombe Costco....
Since its opening the Lidcombe Costco had available an ATM machine which happened to be a Westpac machine.
I found it useful as I was with one of the banks that enabled withdrawals at no additional charge. A couple of weeks ago I had completed shopping and needed some cash. I went to the machine - it was a new one, and upon withdrawal required the withdrawer to pay an extra $2.00!! Needless to say I declined to pay and went looking for someone to whom I could convey my dissatisfaction at this situation?
The only person I could find was no...Read more
t a manager, nor was he much use "you can use a page (120mm X 100mm on a shelf some 30 metres away to Complain" When I saw the page, there was no where near enough space for my complaint! I found on their website an address and conveyed to them in strenuous terms my displeasure of this change which required (cash grab) by them. Very few countries that I have been in charge people for access to their own money? Here in Australia it has been done in a way that people must be prepared to accept this practice, I do not??? The only response was from a person who must have received my complaint and she return emailed to say that it had been forwarded to the Assistant General Manager? It is several weeks now and I have yet to receive any sign of communication from this person. Maybe there are many such as I who are lodging complaints and I am in the pile somewhere or perhaps he/they do not consider it worth their while to communicate with a dissatisfied customer??Similar opinion? Be careful when buying items on promotion
In many occasions, I noted after looking at the receipt that they made errors on items that are on promotion. After telling the cashier, I have to wait for them to verify. And, later I have to go to another counter for them to refund me the amount. The whole process usually might take around 20 mins.

Why have staff at the exit doors?
Seriously no need for them. I only had a box full of items and the female worker wanted everything accounted for. Would she have done the same to a trolley full? Like... get them to sweep the carpark. I'm sure they can pick up all the rubbish and be very thorough about it.

Treating customers like a stealer
Today, the first time, I came here to shop. When I made the payment, the staff member checked my membership card. The attitude was not friendly.
When I walked to the exit, I can't believe that another staff member to check the receipt again. I responded that the receipt I put it to the trash already, and she sent me back to the Check-out counter for checking, which made me feel that Costco treats customers as a theft. sad!

Great place to shop
I have been Costco member for few years and they are exceptional.
They source quality products and offer value for money.
Their staff is friendly and they don't hesitate to issue a refund if you have a problem with the product.

Returns policy
The Costco customer service staff who happened To handle my return which happened to be an expired vitamin tablets that Costco sold my wife were so so rude and had unprofessional behaviour that I have vowed never to set foot in this shop. They didn’t have a clue to customer service and showed no signs of maturity. No wonder Costco doesn’t have a customer complaints or if anyone knows one please post it here.
The front line are first point of contact and the least Costco can do is train them with PR skills
I have got the names of the two staff i...Read more

Check your Tax Invoice
I shop at Costco every couple of weeks and there is no doubt you get value for money.
Recently I have found duplicated amounts on my receipt for the same item and there appears to be a problem with the way they scan items which have more than one barcode on them.
I know it is difficult to reconcile your receipt before you leave the premises especially when you are bulk buying however I have saved myself over $40 in the last 2 trips.

Having been a Costco addict I have now had a costcoectomy, is my life better? Yes !Do I miss It? yes! how did i deal with this addiction ? like any addiction i considered CA but it doesnt exist well not yet, Costco food is great, but so is Dr pepper on a hot day, eating Costco food will do to you what Hitler did to Germany, greatly enlarge its borders. Costco has many benefits but my ADvice if u are single, do what I did go with your Lebanese neighbour and use there card, watch the prices, take a calculator and remember your freezer size

Costco is for large families
If you have a large family, then Costco is worth the membership. However if your a single like me, then in all honesty the $60.00 membership is not worth it.

I went to Costco with my friend, after 1h shopping, the cashier refused to let my friend paying for me, cause she uses her Card, and she is not a member?!!! What a stupid reason. After calling her manager, and he trying to explain at same silly reason to me, it doesn't make sense to us at all, and does not make sense to anyone at all. He kept saying that is policy. They offer some good bulk discounts, but you have to look for them
Friendly customer service - but you are really left to your own devices to find what you want. There are no fitting rooms in store. They offer some good bulk discounts, but you have to look for them - and some things were more expensive that a regular grocery store. The items which were offered with a good discount, you lad to buy in bulk e.g. a year's supply of toothpaste etc. (They sold pizza in the foyer of the store. It was the worst pizza I have ever eaten in my life.)

Force to join before you look.
A new Costco opened in Marsden Park. Was very keen to go and have a look to see if it was worth joining. I was not allowed entry into the store untill I joined .
I eventually went in with a friend who had a card . Good value on a lot of stuff but too overwhelming Goodguys and JB better on Electronics . No service . Aldi's were very compriable on their food and you did not have to buy in bulk . And leaving the place, you had to queue so the docket could be checked . I don't think I will be joining .
