Did not see any but most sewing machines are sophisticated enough to do embroidery, even the cheap ones. We have a lovely Daisy duck embroidered Hot Water bottle cover done by my wife's mother on a treadle Singer sewing machine.1930;s vintage The embroidery done by poor Indian families on hand and foot powered machines is remarkable. Lincraft, Spotlight, major department stores, online retailers all sell Embroidery capable sewing machines at competitive prices. Perhaps Costco could match them,

They sell a four pack only, however Lip Balm Land is located in Melbourne and has every single eos lip balm you could ever imagine, postage Australia wide is flat rate $6.75 too.

I am certain that Costco in North lakes ( Brisbane ) has a Tyre centre and a petrol station but I have not seen any cars or truck sale centres.

You could try contacting costco Australia headquarters to answer that question or you could try to google it.

Yes they do at Northlakes, Brisbane store.

Costco is a membership only shop, I live in Victoria so have only been to the Ringwood & Docklands stores.

The membership throughout all states should cost around $60, this will last you a year and it will also entitle you to visit any, if not all Costco outlets irrelevant to the state. Though I have been told that you could possibly visit a Costco outlet overseas as well with the same card.

That being said, you can also nominate another person within the same household to receive 1x FREE Costco membership card without having to pay extra.

If you don't have membership, you can go to Costco with someone who does. That may help you in making a decision weather is worth of buying a membership or not.

From what I can recall, COSTCO's baby products (nappies and formula) are rather limited. Worse case is you refund your membership if you don't get satisfaction. COSTCO in the US has a much bigger range and variety of products - what we have here is COSTCO (very low alcohol, carb and fat) Lite at best. Have you tried sounding out friends who work as retail pharmacists? They may be able to procure baby products at wholesale prices. Worse case is, set up your own ABN as a sole-trader for the purpose of co-op buying wholesale (for yourself and maybe, for your circle of friends who are mothers).

From what I saw at North Lakes, they have large variety of products in their "Pharmacy" department. I will check it out next time I go to see what is available.

You need to show your card when you enter. Or, you can try asking a friend or colleague if they have a membership there... each member is allowed to bring in 2 guests. Otherwise, ask a stranger if you can 'tag along' before they enter the doors :)

The only thing you can't do without a membership card is buy stuff, because you're required to show your card at the checkout.

I've never tried going in without a card so not sure if they allow 'visitors' :) hope my answer helped.

Yes go to the reception desk first to check what you need to do, but without $60 membership, you can't purchase. Why should a member pay $60 each year and then a free-loader take advantage of it. Do the right thing and pay for membership, you'll find that it is well worth the money and effort, we've literally saved thousands, but to find the massive bargains, you need to be a member, to receive e-mails or offers at the door.
