Avoid like the plague, along with Azzurri products
Both the Azzurri Bike and Cycling Express website (Cycling Express are an agent Azzurri bikes) claim that ALL Azzurri bicycle frames are covered by a lifetime warranty. Frame in my 6 year old Azzurri Tigre cracked in multiple ara and I made claim to Azzurrri which Cycling Express were handling. After been told that they would replace frame, I was then informed they no longer make Tigre but could repace with another model. Then told only have other models in XL or S size but could have another brand frame with "reasonably" changeover price. Fina...Read more
lly (3 weeks later) inform that because Black Friday sales were pending, deal no longer on table. These guys are crooks and their lifetime warranty claim is both false and misleading, and warrant reporting to ASICSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Wrong item sent and then no refund provided as promised and now radio silence
Bought some Shimano pedals and brakes were sent. I was instructed to send back and agreed to a full refund plus postage cost which has still not been provided. It has been weeks of no response even though the brakes were received by cycling express.

Disgusting Aftersales "Service"
Purchased an Azzuri Pro XL which apparently comes with a lifetime warranty. The frame has cracked and they are now offering a Verite frame or an Azzuri Forza size L replacement. I'm 6ft 4" and purchased the XL to suit my height however they are disregarding thing.
This has been an ongoing saga for over 1 year in which i must admit I was only able to find the receipt 6-9 months ago. This is not an acceptable time frame for a resolution.
And they are asking they i pay $200+ for the replacement frame to be shipped.
Disgusting, won't be purchasing through them in future.

Worthless Warranty
The carbon frame on my Azzurri Forza supposedly had a lifetime warranty from Cycling Express. However when the frame cracked due to a manufacturing fault, Cycling Express refused to honour their warranty and, because they are now off-shore, they just wave two fingers at Australian Consumer Laws.
Cheap bikes, maybe, but lifetime warranty is a joke. Get what you pay for!

Terrible attitude.
Fortunately I did not purchase from this organisation. I was on bike exchange and saw a frame (cinelli) advertised for $1700 so I inquired about the frame and was told it would come from Taiwan and freight would be $200.
I went to their website where it indicated that they started in Melbourne and had some centres in Victoria so I asked if I could collect. I was advised that I couldn't and because the bike was on bike exchange I indicated that they shouldn't advertise at $1700 if it can't be posted at that amount. I also indicated that I...Read more
thought $200 was excessive (based on past experience with UK sites). [name removed] from Cycling express indicated that 200 was reasonable and my parents must be disappointed with my reading and maths ability. This is not an Australian site it operates out of Taiwan and is a disgrace. I'm glad I'll have the pleasure of taking my business elsewhere.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Unsupportive Customer Service
I’m posting this here because Cycling Express (from whom I bought the bicycle) have removed my review from their site.
I bought this bike sight unseen online for what I thought was a great price despite the $350 odd dollars asked for delivery. The bike was everything I expected, except that I was very disappointed in the quality of the Azzurri frame (Azzurri is a Cycling Express’s own brand). It was splotchy all over, and looked like it was sun-faded as well. See pics below. I queried this at length and was told they would refund my money (mi...Read more

Bad Service
I have bought several Azzurri road bikes from Cycling Express.
I have recently had a problem with one. I had to send the frame back (to Melbourne) for repair and expected it to be repaired (minor repair which I could have done myself but warranty would then be voided) and returned within a week or so. At the end of a couple of weeks, I rang the Melbourne number and it had not been given the go ahead by Cycling Express to be repaired! I got in touch via email to cycling express and it then got repaired. I then had to pay to get it back!!!

Boardman TT Frame Issues. Cracking On Rear Stays
Cycling Express is a major disappointment. Purchased a Boardman Elite 9.8tt frame in September 2013 & have 2 cracks in the rear stays where the bottom bracket assembly joins the stays. The cracks have slowly developed but now have become noticeable & I am concerned about complete failure. Have advised Cycling Express & they are refusing to accept claim stating that manufacturing defects normally occur in the 1st 12 months. The frame is covered for a full 36 months. Have also taking up issue direct with Boardman but very disappointed in the overall experience. Will be seeking legal action if matter not resolved but be very careful about dealing with these people.

Warranty claim on Time X-Presso 12 Titan Carbon Pedals
I purchased a pair of Time X-Presso 12 Titan Carbon Pedals, which weren't cheap. To cut a long story short I am on my second pair of of pedals (the first replaced under warranty) and the second again has resulted in a crack in the casing after 2 months. I returned my pedals to Cycling Express on the 9th July to their depo in Tullamarine for transfer to Singapore so they can be sent to Tim for Warranty inspection. As of the 2nd Aug they are still in Tullamarine. I have made several attempts to get this resolved quickly but have failed on all accounts. The only way to contact these guys is via email.

I also don't normally post reviews, but...
I usually shop around for the best products and deals, and I always recommend these guys to my friends and club members. I've used these guys many times as they usually offer the best deals (especially if they have a sale on), and everything I've ever received is top quality and genuine. I also bought my current road bike frame (Kuota KOM Air) and many of the components for the build from them. Initially I had a few questions regarding the assembly of the forks/headset etc, and they couldn't do enough to help - they immediately offered me a refund if there was any problems (which I'm relieved there wasn't as it's a great bike:)

I purchased a set of RS21's off Cycling Express for $99 + $15 for delivery. Thinking that this deal was too good to be true, I searched around and found this site. I started to get worried after reading all of the negative experiences posted here. But my concerns were soon layed to rest when the wheels arrived on the fourth business day after I placed the order. The wheels are true and spokes seem evenly tensions.
I am very happy with the product, service, and the price plus shipping was exceptional value. 10/10.

Haven't missed a beat
I buy from quite a few online retailers; wiggle, cyclingdeal, torpedo7, pushys and have placed a lot of orders with cyclingexpress. Every order has been quick and well packed. I often compare their prices with that of wiggle and others and 9/10 they are better (for what they stock, which is far more limited than wiggle, etc).
Will keep using them.

disappointing
i bought an azzurri forza pro ultegra 11 on boxing day. brilliant price for a well specced bike so i was happy.
But then
- it was delayed in delivery
- when it arrived the brake cable had not bee trimmed and the gears needed a lot of adjusting so the bike was unrideable. after a few delayed emails back and forth i was able to take it into a local bike shop who quickly sorted out my problems.
- after 3-4 weeks (and less than 200km) the rear freehub stopped working on the mavic aksiums.
So, i sent them another email (you cant call the on...Read more
line store) and waited. they eventually told me to take it into a local bike shop so i did... and waited... i then emailed them again.. and waited... It's now 4 weeks since the rear wheel (obviously under warranty) broke and they've offered me a downgraded replacement rear wheel because they couldnt find another suitable wheel. Seriously?! a bike shop without wheels??? i said no (obviously). We're now in March, i've only had 1 month of riding, summer is over and i dont have a bike... hopefully i get it back before any warrantys run out! :(Similar opinion? A blight on the cycling industry
Why anyone would buy from here has me scratching my head. These guys sell fake chinese made imitation components and sell them as originals. A clear example is the 3T products. if youre a real cyclist and not just some weekender looking for the cheapest rubbish out there, then you should know better than to support this business and its fakes. I recently bought some 3T carbon bars off a guy who had purchased them from this site. They are clearly out of whack, and I mean badly manufactured. One of the drops is wider than the other, and the stem ...Read more
clamp area is not centred. Go to eBay and I can assure you will find the same products being sold by cyclingexpress that are on ebay, from Hong Kong and China etc. The difference is they cost 1/2 of what cyclingexpress is selling them to you for. Dont waste your money and more importantly dont support these scam businesses selling you these imitation products. If you look at Wiggle you will see that Wiggle is cheaper than this site.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Exceptional service
These guys get 5 stars from me for quick service, bargain prices and fast shipping. Just placed my third order with them. Only negative would be the product descriptions, probably wise to send them an email first on more expensive items so they can explain what you will be getting.
My frame was supposed to come with a bottom bracket but they quickly gave me a store voucher for one when I brought this to their attention. Still 5 stars.

Price Match Policy
Saw a deal in Bike Nashbar and wrote to Cycling Express to price match.
Price for wheelset in BikeNashbar delivered anywhere in the States was US$581.95
Price for same wheelset in Cycling Express delivered free in Australia was AUD$1149
For both cases, I have someone who can take it back to me from either the states or australia.
So i requested for a price match of US$582 equivalent in AUD delivered to my australian address.
However, when push come to shove, CE's price match was "they will match nashbar's price of wheelset delivered t...Read more
o Australia'! so they add another US$200 (delivery costs) and they were only willing to match the price inclusive of delivery from US to Australia. And we ding dong back and forth for over 2.5 weeks before landing on a nogo. Go figure .... Still gave 2 stars because they were friendly BUT policy was misleading and they stop replying after I questioned their policy.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Overcharged
28/01/14 docket no 1140 served by hw
went into bayswater store to buy some items that were supposed to be in stock.
None of the items i wanted were available.
So i settled on the alloy 3t ergonova bars, as the carbon ones were not in stock.
Get home and i have been charged $280.00 for alloy bars!!!!!!
I guess i should have checked the docket, sio i'll wear it.
But other potential customers beware, check your receipts carefully at time of purchase
of the seven items that your website said you had in stock, not one item was available.
I bought 4 items that day to the value of $400.00.
This is the last time i purchase anything from you

Pathetic! Do not waste your time!
Brought a bike bag online from this store. A black and white advertised zipp bag however got delivered a red and black bag! Emailed them and their excuse was they put up the wrong picture!
So besides the fact they were false advertising I then got offered a $30 gift voucher to use from this online store and only a $20 refund or I send it back(having to pay out of my own pocket to send it back) what a joke! They offer me $30 voucher to spend on something else that is false advertised but they will only give me a $20 refund for a bag that was falsely advertised!
Do not buy from here!
Cheaper in price however I now know why!
Totally different bag as to what was advertised

Poor customer service
I bought a De Rosa bike from Cycling Express from their Bayswater store by phone order and was assured I would get a new bike (not a display unit). When it arrived I noticed a price tag on the bike, the supposed white handle wraps had a greyish tinge on them ....this was not a new bike. Was also talked into going for a medium frame which is not recommended for someone who is 182cm. Sent the bike back as it was not suitable. Today just received replacement. Another display bike rather than new bike I wanted and insisted on. Had another price ta...Read more
g on it and the handle bar wrap was damaged. It was also packed poorly and the front wheel axle was sticking out of the box when it arrived. After all the issues I had with the first delivery, you think they'd be a bit more careful to get this one right, but not so. No owners manual, no customer care, nothing. Price of the bike was great Poor service, poor advice, poor customer care, poor response especially from the managerSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Poor online customer service
Emailed them twice asking about their return policy on the Azzurri bikes, never got anything back, seems a bit dodgy for me. I subscribed to their emailing list and got their weekly discount items, but what's the point of good price without customer service? Overseas online stores got much better service than this.
Reasonable price for items, offer a match price to other bike stores
No response when asked about their own policy
