Rude Staff in desperate need of customer service training
Terrible customer service at your Dan Murphy stores. Staff need training in how to treat customers. Just because I look younger than I am, don’t make me feel inferior. I have id and am willing to show you. All you have to do is ask politely. Don’t make me feel like I’m doing something wrong when all I’m doing is making a purchase.

Very happy with the Berwick store.
I often visit Dan's in Berwick, and find the staff or very friendly and always greet you with a smile and ask how I am. They are very helpful and the store is always clean and a pleasure to go into.

Wonderful service.
The incredible staff at your Coogee store assisted me with the purchase of a single malt Japanese Whisky. They could not have been more helpful and courteous. Whatever they are being paid, should be doubled.

Customer service
I'm a regular customer at the North lakes Qld store and over the last six months I have found the staff to be poorly trained, incompetent, rude and unprofessional. This not what I would have expected having previously used other stores in different parts of the country.

Zero Beer
I was at the Dan Murphy Narellan store this week, I asked the assistant in the beer isle why Zero alcohol beer is so badly stocked and sold in that store. After a brief exchange, where she called me buddy and mate, I realised that I was dealing with someone who was not “customer focused”, which means the company is not customer focused. Why I choose to drink zero alcohol beer is my choice, however if you are going to promote, stock and sell it then pay attention to detail. Here’s a few tips woollies, 1. Stock the brands people want. 2. Charge less then normal beer, encourage drivers by offering a reward rather then a penalty for buying zero. 3 refrigerate some, some of the craft beers you have in that beer chiller can move aside a little.

Worst customer service
If i could I would most definitely give it a 0 rating most unprofessional staff and not only the staff but the security at Kelmscott Dan Murphy's need to be trained better. I understand that it's their job to make sure under aged people don't enter the store and I was more than happy to give them my ID to check. But the way his approach made me feel so uncomfortable I've never been treated like that in a Dan Murphy store. I've only just moved here and never been treated like this. As i entered the store i was more than happy to give him my ID m...Read more
inding that I had to go back to the car to get it. By law its needed to have proper identification to buy liquor. But the fact the lady at the counter even saw him check and smilied at me as i walked in with my partner. I didn't find it necessary for her to check it again and on top the smirk look she gave me made me feel like I was being a child.. I even asked if it's needed minding the security checked in front of her and she just gave me a very rude answer with attitude like i did something wrong asking her. I have never seen anyone judge and make a customer feel so uncomfortable. If i was a customer again which I can guarantee I will not be at this particular store of Dan Murphy I would hate to be treated like this. Working in retail myself and being in a managing position I would honestly hate for a customer to feel this way about entering into the store. Instead of being welcoming they were very judgmental and honestly never thought to have been stared at as i left or talked to like that. My recommendations to the management train your staff better to be nicer to customers and learn and teach them how to approach customers better. Date: 14/01/20Similar opinion? They dont price match nicks.com.au.
Despite claiming they will match any competition they will not price match online storeS. Even reputable nation wide sites like nicks.com
Dans -> blockbuster with that attitude.

Read the fine print
DM, advertise will beat any advertised price. They should make it very clear that the merchant selling the same item, must be within 10km within the store boundary. Strangly, I mention discount is such and such,in Perth, I live in Adelaide, then they match, or say 10km rule. Its lucky dip, depending on the assistant serving you.Anyway one questions there marketing, we match or better any compettion.

Lemencello
Wanted to buy 30 bottles of lemoncello for a party. Asked a discounted price and all he would give me is 9 cents of the price per bottle.
I found somewhere else for the same thing and they gave me $1.80 of each bottle and they are a very small company.
So people shop around.

RIP OFF
Today 4/11/19 Peroni Nastro Azzurro 24 stubbies are $45.90 on the Dan Murphy web site . When I went to the Greenhills store it was $62.90. When I complained the lady in charge told me they could not do any thing about it as it was a head office problem. When I said that was not satisfactory she told me she could not cars less. This is dishonest and a blatant rip off. Do not trust the prices shown on the Dan Murphys web site. I had the web site set as Greenhills Store,

Lowest Liquor Price Guarantee is rubbish.
More expensive than everywhere else. Was under the impression I didn't need to shop around. I was wrong. On most 6 packs of beer they are between 10-15% more expensive.

lowest liquor price guarantee is misleading
If you believe the lowest liquor price guarantee means they will have the lowest price on display, you are sorely mistaken. You can't buy anything from them and assume you are getting the best price. First choice liquor beat them every time and it means having to check their price first before going to the store to make a purchase so you can barter with them for the best price. A case in point...Coopers sparkling ale is $55 a carton at first choice and $60 at Dan Murphys. They will beat the price by a dollar if you bring it to their attention ...Read more
but you really shouldn't have to. If First choice can put their best price forward why can't Dan Murphys? First choice would always be my first choice but unfortunately they are too far from me and Dan Murphys is my local.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Caught in the 'pick up' line at Bellarine
Older man on register held up queue chatting up young woman in front of me. I got a scowl and was then ignored throughout the transaction as he chatted up the lady behind me. Poor customer service. Customers should be acknowledged and not made to feel invisible.

Three times I have been twice left felling very pi**ed off.
Seems to be staff training or lack of, security staff trying to impress the check out girl at customers expense is very poor indeed, very bad look and behavior, not sure if I would go back as I do not think any one cares as I did phone and made a complaint but I don't think they had any interest, not how I was trained in Woolworths group, its a shame that a few can spoil the good people that do there job properly, Hobart Tassie needs to wake up, treat your customers properly as they ARE your Business!!!!, security staff have no place making stupid comments about what you are purchasing at checkouts and checkout people should not go along with what was obviously rude and distressing to the customer....!!!!!

Good but not great
Store is big but seems like they dont have many 'boutique' style wines or brands. Its hard to decide what to buy as there isnt much info about the wine but they do have good special so i usually go with that
