Hi, I am having a problem with the water spout. When I insert it, it clicks on the limit switch inside and there is a audible beep that confirms it is in, but after about 2-3 seconds, another beep sounds as if Inremoved it. The limit switch is still pressed, so probably a software issue? Has anyone had this trouble before?

Got my ECAM23460s yesterday. Trying to complete the Machine set up. Followed instructions to the "T" but the display shows, briefly, only the time -- no language -- and goes blank. nothing happens after, the display remains blank and no additional functions are performed. no response when I try to use the dial to scroll. Any suggestions?

Thank you for your inquiry,
In regards to the milk function - If the milk is no longer frothing it may be due to a blockage or air escaping from somewhere. Please ensure you clean the milk jug thoroughly and check if no pieces are loose or missing.
In regards to the coffee temperature - Please go into your settings function - go to set temperature and adjust this to your preference :)

I’ve accidently filled the ground espresso container with beans and the infuser is stuck?! What should I do?

Turn the machine OFF. Then empty the grounds containers completely. Use the fine brush to clean
the last beans at the bottom of the container then re-fill one quarter and try again. If that fails empty
and turn on when empty and run to see if stuck beans go through. otherwise contact supplier. Aussiejohn

Starting to notice the Grounds tray is filling with water as well as disposed grounds. have cleaned the infuser, monthly maintenance, and descaled regularly. There is 8500 shots used on this machine. about 2 years old, any ideas???

seals on she the shuttle are worn.
you can purchase the shuttle seals online and on ebay.
have a look at the tube line from the pump to the boiler as these have been known you split on the 234.50 machines.

Hi Cindy . . . Try using the small cleaning brush inside the centre of the beans container. Maybe there is a blockage or dampness that has caused the beans (when crushed) to block the hole. So lift the little flap in the centre and give it a clean out with that brush that's supplied with the machine. Good luck. Aussiejohn.

Why doesn't milk frothier work?

Hi Crabbers . . . 1. The nylon tube when inserted should have the hole facing the front of the head it fits into so the milk can suck through.
2. The Dial on the head must be on the cup (pictured) with the froth on the top.
3. The machine must be heated by pressing the top left-hand button after turning machine on.
4. With the milk in the container then press CAPPUCCINO and follow machine visual instruction

I am unable to descale the 23.460S Capuchino coffee maker. It keeps asking me for a "water spout". Do I need a special water spout other than the one supplied already?

Hiya, yep it’s a seperate attachment that clicks into where the milk jug goes. Mine didn’t have one with it so I brought it from a coffee machine repair shop. eBay also has them from $12-20
Hi Aris, The Water Spout is the one that was supplied and fit on where the Milk Container goes for Cappacinos. Follow the instructions on
page 18 "Descale". It takes a while so be patient and follow directions as it Descales. Aussie John. GOOD LUCK.

This model has no steam wand right? Just the jug you connect to the machine? Does this mean you can only do 1 milk coffee at a time?
I notice the milk canister is in the way if you want to do two shots of coffee in separate cups.
Does it make 1 coffee at a time?
Could you pull the milk canister off so as to fit 2 cups under for an espresso in each cup say?

Yes. it only makes one cup at a time. The beauty of it is the machine gives consistent, hot and great tasting coffee and at a surprising speed.
We have had ours now for over one year and it surpasses any coffee-making machine we have had over the past 40 years. Maintenance is
minimal and very easy to keep clean after use. You won't be disappointed Kath.

The 23.460 never had a specific successor to speak of, but the newer machines in the ECAM series are the Primadonna range, such as the ECAM45.760

Why are you supposed to only change the grinder when it is running? There is no warning on the dial, and I didn't notice the warning in the manual until I had already tried to change it.

Very simple answer. If you change a grinding implement at rest it has no room to move until it begins grinding. Being a moving part - and particularly a grinding action
it must be grinding to change the adjustment. I have not changed ours but I would expect that information should be available in the Instruction Book and if not De Longi
