Great vacuum.

published

This vacuum is very effective sucks up all the dirt and dust leaving no trails of dirt behind. I used it in my car after going to the beach and it completely took all the sand off & out of the seat covers. I love to use it as it cuts the cleaning time in half.

Its great

published

I have been using this for about 3 years now. Works great and keeps the carpet clean. I live in a 3 bedroom house and 2 cats, need to empty it every 3 or 4 time use, so it does a great job collecting a lot of cat hair. You only have to see how much rubbish it collects to know that it works great.

Heavy duty vacuum cleaner for all kinds of floors

published

We have brought this vacuum cleaner three years back and have used it on different surfaces of our house.we have practically tested out the suction power of the vacuum cleaner in comparison with our neighbours cleaners and have found amazing difference. Really shows the true colours of the carpets post vacuum and u can compare with the pre vacuuming pic.its very easy to use and quite low noise is made by this vacuum.if you have a baby or dog go for this as they don't startle when you start to vacuum . It's attachment are quite useful for doing the corners, sofas and stairs and hard floors.recommend this product

A great little Vacuum.

published

This vacuum is perfect for any home. I love the bag less use as I always would forget to buy more bags unless I saw them. It’s easy to see when it needs emptying as the barrel is clear. Manoeuvring is great. It doesn’t lose its suction and is compact enough to store away easily. Overall it is a great little vacuum with lots of power.

Great vacuum cleaner

published

I have had this vacuum for years now and I have to say it is better than any vacuum that I have had in the past. The suction is excellent - though I would say make sure you clean the filter every six months or three months like it requires as it will affect suctioning. It is loud and heavy but it is still easy to manoeuvre. It is great on all types of floors and carpets however shaggy carpets can affect performance.

Still very happy with this

published

I have had this for over three years and I still enjoy using it. That might sound like a funny thing to say about a vacuum but the Dyson is just so well designed that it is a pleasure to use.
It is still running as strongly as the day I got it and apart from a few scuffs you wouldn't know its age. It is easy to empty and reasonably quiet when running (compared to other vacuums).
The house always feels spick and span after I have vacuumed with this and I have no negative comments or things I would change. It is a good vacuum.

Form over function !

published

After years of seeing and hearing all the hype around Dyson products I was excited to buy a Dyson vac.
(My 10yo $100 vac still had great suction but all the attachments had started to fail)
Purchased from Jb-Hifi.
From the very first use I realise I had made a mistake for the following reasons :
•Very Average suction.
•Click-Lock connectors all leak suction.
•Multi floor head continually scratches my hardwood floors.
•Unit unstable; constantly tips over.
PLEASE if you are thinking of purchasing a Dyson vac at the very least compare the specs on the suction power with other similar priced vacs. Sure it will give you a clear instant answer.

Excellent product! Well worth the money spent

published

Suction is great and consistent. It’s a really light machine and this makes it extremely easy to manage even for the kids lol. I have timber floors and a rug and it’s great to be able to do both floors with the one appliance. We don’t have a huge house but it performs extremely well and meets our needs

Excellent

Best vacume cleaner, works really well. Carpets always feel so clean after every use. Dog hair not a problem. Also power cord is great length so you don’t have to unplug and replug to do a large room. Only fault would be that it can be a little heavey. But my god fantastic

Powerful product

published

Very happy to change to this vacuum from Philips model. Much more powerful and effective and saves me time. Got it at a good price as it wasn’t the latest model but works great nonetheless. Works great on multi surfaces like tiles, parquets and carpets. Wouldn’t recommend a better product brand than dyson

Great and powerful

published

Great vacuum with good suction and performance. Not the most quiet vacuum but it makes up with it with how powerful it is. Its kind of heavy so a big difficult to move around the house. Especially as the cord isnt that long so lots of moving around is needed. Primarly used on carpet floors and tiles. Does a great job on both.

Excellent vacuum cleaner

published

So good to have a vacuum that easily changes from cleaning wooden floorboards to tile to carpet. I have two dogs and it’s great to get this vacuum out a couple times a week and do a quick clean of the house - was a bit confusing at first to work out how to empty the cylinder but after a few uses i have figured it out :)

Never seems to loose Suction

published

Friend of mine recommended I buy this vacuum cleaner, I was very surprised how much better its was from my old one which was still working, it never seems to loose suction even when its getting full.
Bag-less very easy to empty and clean with a very long power cord. I would recommend it.

good machine when working well but must be emptied every time and seals can sometimes not fit correc

average performance, think the miele I owned previously was a much better machine for all surfaces, only I guess the cost of miele bags was becoming expensive, also the dyson tends to get caught on corners when you are pulling it around the house.Washing the filter constantly is a pain

Good quality vacuum that does the job. head gets clogged up quite easily though

published

Have been using this for 4 years and does the job well in our large 5 bedroom house. Only negative is the head gets clogged up with hairs etc and the wheel stopped spinning as a result. I'm sure if i cleared the head a bit more often it wouldn't be a problem. I phones dyson and they sent me a new one without charge. Great service.

Wow what a product. This vaccume is by far the best product on the market. I have owned a few different models over the years and all of them are fantastic. The suck factor is just great. My house is always spotless and the vaccume nwver misses a thing. Best product.

Best vacuum cleaner I’ve had

published

Used on both carpet and hard floors. It’s had a fair workout as I have a two year old and a dog. Only thing I’ve found is that although it’s grwat with dog hair it’s not amazing. Struggles with getting dog hair out of carpet in the car. But besides that it’s amazing!!

DC37C Multi Floor

Hi,
My Dyson DC37 is four years old. I'm finding I need to clean the filter just about every time I vacuum now. Do I need a new filter?
Thank you

We certainly wouldn't expect you to need to wash the filter every vacuum and will be happy to help.

Please forward your details and the serial number of your machine to our Dyson Experts via [email protected]. We will be in touch shortly to help get this sorted.

We are in almost the exact same situation, but our dc37c is only 3 years old.

DC37C Multi Floor

I have received a DC37C for Christmas and want to know if it is good for picking up cat fur. If there is a better machine, what would it be?

3 answers

Hello Julz, Honestly i do not own any pets so i could not answer that, but in general i have had my for a few years now and not 1 issue, Picks everything up off the floor as it is meant to do.
I can not see why it would not pick up cat fur.

Hi Julz,

Thank you for your query.

While the floor tool for the DC37C is effective on carpets and floors, for removing pet hair, a head with rotating brushes to capture this will be more effective.

For your DC37C, a Turbine Head is available as an accessory to provide this powerful cleaning. To order, please just give us a call on 1800 239 766 with your machine handy. Our helpline is open Monday - Friday 8am - 7pm and Saturday - Sunday 8:30am -4pm EDST. At time of writing, these are available for $129.

Best wishes,

Shan

Hi Julz,
This machine is not good for cat hair. We have two cats (short & medium hair) who shed a lot. Our downstairs area is tiled where most of the fur collects. Whilst the suction is good the multi floor head that comes in the box is awful. It seems to push debris around rather than suck it up and the fur gets caught in all the bristles. I spend more time pulling cat fur (and other junk) out of the bristles than I spend vacuuming. It's not pleasant. Hope this helps although it sounds like you're going to be out pf pocket if you actually want to use the vacuum effectively.

DC37C Multi Floor

Which is better model the DC376 multi floor or the UP16 multi floor?

1 answer
Dyson
Dyson Team ..Dyson

Hi Cath,

Thank you for your question.

It is quite hard to compare these models as one is an Upright and one is a Barrel machine. When choosing between a Barrel and Upright we always find it best to recommend to stick with what you are used to as the transition can be tricky.

Both machines are suitable for both carpets and hard floors however the UP16 comes with a spinning brush which will provide superior pickup on carpet. If you have the majority of your flooring in your home as hard floors we'd recommend the DC37C.

So we can provide you the best advice and answer your specific questions we'd recommend for you to contact our helpline on 1800 239 766 directly. Our helpline is open Monday - Friday 8am - 7pm and Saturday - Sunday 8:30am - 4pm EST.

Best wishes,

Samuel
