This is a must for any household with young kids!
The Dyson Pure Hot+Cool Link™ purifying fan heater checks off many more things on my list than what I expected! The cooling function is fantastic, it cools down a room very quickly and I found that it didn't need to be on a fast fan speed for this to happen. It is a safe appliance to have around my children - no blades means no fingers getting hurt. You can control it and view all data on your phone in a easy to use app and finally the purifying function is 100% fantastic! With two kids and a partner that suffer from eczema and asthma this has relieved their symptoms dramatically, to the point that their eczema is nearly non existent and very few asthma symptoms. I Highly recommend this Product!

Great fan except for high pitch noise
The Dyson Pure Hot+Cool Link™ purifying fan heater is a great fan. It’s portable, efficient and I love that I have remote access to it. Downside it’s makes a terrible sound when blowing on the highest setting.

Amazing!
We love the Dyson Pure Hot+Cool Link™ purifying fan heater. My daughter is asthmatic and we can actually see on thr App how the air quality has improved since using it.
The night settings are fantastic and having a heater in her room which we can control via WiFi while she is asleep is so great!

Great style but poor functionality and terrible noise
HUGE PROBLEM background noise when fan is in standby is actually deafening. the high pitched whine it makes when not in use is so irritating it forces me to turn the fan off at all times when not in use. The design is nice however lack of functionality on the unit and forces you to search for remote or app and it's already broken once about a month into its warranty. Really disappointed with the complex control of just wanting the fan on but not cool or hot. just give us another button to have purifyer only rather than the blue button which means Cool. for me a sloppy design and painful background hum at all times

I see a lot of complaints online about the same problem. Your standby mode is like a cat repellant noise its defeaning to anyone with sensitive ears, some of my friends cant hear it at all but also many can.

Dyson customer service is terrible
This is a warning to all potential Dyson customers, I have been waiting over a month for a $499 refund under their 30 day money back guarantee. After more than 10 emails (I couldn't commit to the hour or so waiting to talk to someone on the phone) I've had to lodge a dispute with Paypal. Before receiving the machines and after some terrible and unhelpful customer service when I decided to return one machine, I then decided to return both machines unopened as the poor customer service experience had put me off owning either of the purifiers (as well as the reviews in regards to how much of the air the Dyson actually purifies). I was told this wouldn't be a problem with the 30 day money back guarantee with free returns. I returned both units (and the bonus filters) as soon as they arrived via Aus Post (the returns were tracked with parcel labels provided by Dyson). Dyson confirmed via email (after I had emailed to check on the progress) on the 12th Dec that they had received both machines, and that they would be processing refunds. In later emails they said they processed the refunds on the 14th Dec and it should take 7-14 days. I received a refund for 1 machine (the Cool link purifier $449) on the 17th December. I have followed up several times since and each time they have said it will just be a few days more for the other machine that was purchased via my Paypal account. It is now the 12th January and STILL I DO NOT HAVE MY refund. Purifier wise, I bought the Daikin air purifier and I am very happy with it, it has cleared up my allergies and the customer service in purchasing it was brilliant.2 comments

Nice air filter and fan plus heater
I like this device. We like next to a main road, so the air quality is not great.
I am not sure how accurate the air quality reading actually is though. The app was showing inconsistent information.
The feeling could be completely psychological, but it does feel like the air quality is improved when sitting in the stream of the air flow.
The heating is good on this and it does heat up a small room.

Good heater, purifier and ok fan
On a really hot day, this fan just circulates the air in the room - don't expect it to cool the room down. I found that turning it on after having the evaporate cooling run (dyson costs less to run), works well as the air is still cool. The heater function is great, however cant comment on the purifier as I have not left it on unless I am using the fan/heater. This unit can be quite loud the higher you turn it, however we have been able to sleep through it without any issues. The fan is able to tilt up or down which can be quite useful and we have found the timer function to be great as well.

Continous monitoring issue
While in use, I turned off the continous monitoring via the app but the unit still remains on (blowing very little air) even when the room has reached the set temperature. Should it not go in to (sleep) standby mode and turn back on only when the room temperature falls below the pre set temperature?

When the machine is turned on and in either heating mode or automatic mode, when reaches the set temperature, air quality, or both when heating, it will continue to move a small amount of air to monitor the quality and temperature. Please be assured this is completely normal The continuous monitoring setting takes effect when the machine is turned off. This is correct, air will need to pass over the sensor to correctly read either the temperature or air quality of the room when on heating or automatic mode. If you are manually controlling the fan setting then turn the machine off you will find there will be no air passing over the sensor unless continuous monitoring is turned on. Can’t handle 5G networks
Zero literature that heater shuts down every 8 hours, a showstopper for me. Work around by using the app possible but it’s not comparable with 5 G networks. Makes the product useless to me, Dyson should have been more up front about the requirements. Get with the times. Will be returning this product and will not shop Dyson again.

Excellent heater, average fan
We bought it mainly for its air purifying functions, but found that it also works really well as a heater. We survived on this through winter and it heats up the whole room very quickly without drying out the room. It's also relatively quiet compared to other conventional heaters. As a cooler though it isn't any better as a normal fan. If the room is hot it will only blow warm air and doesn't cool down the room. A lot of people think that it's a cooler when in fact it's just a fan. As a filter it helps with allergy sufferers and my husband's hay fever has improved since we've had the fan in our room. Overall very happy with this product and will recommend it as a heater and purifier.

Pretty Worthwhile product.
I was after a air purifier since we recently got a puppy. But since this version had an all in one option of being a purifier, heater and cooler - I thought it was great. I do have some issues linking the product to the app and therefore cannot get the stats or switch the product off/on via the app which is a tad bit annoying. However the product itself is great, it really does heat/cool an area in an efficient manner. Although i do think it uses quite a bit of electricity.

Good filtration of air
This is a good filter for the air, it also has the option to use as a heater in winter, but I only use it as a fan, love that it has no blades and is easy to clean, the con is that as long as it is plugged in it is sucking up electricity as even when turned off you can hear the motor running. Great for allergy sufferers I bought it as I have a dust allergy and love it for that reason.

In regards to the fan running, There is a setting in the Dyson Link App called "Continuous monitoring". This will continue to pass air over the sensor to graph the air quality and detect the temperature when on standby mode, which will keep the fan running to keep collecting data. Be assured the amount of energy used for this is very little. Should you wish to turn this off, press the cog in the top right hand corner of your Dyson Link app, then press "Your Machines Settings" and turn off Continuous Monitoring. This is great but a bit noisy
This has been perfect for Melbourne’s cold weather. It does really warm up the room quickly but it is a bit too noisy which might be the only fault of this item. I love its function that allows you to operate the item using Dyson app on your mobile phone.

Air quality seems cleaner, sinus relief
I had been trying to get the blue/purple version for a while then gave up when I couldn't by from australia seller. only while and silver options were available.
Then to my surprise i received the awesome blue/purple version for a present and ended up being from dyson AU direct.
Very happy with the device, it is very smart and apps work well on both ios and android.

Not what we expected
We find this way too loud, and keeps stopping and starting when it reaches room temp. If you want it on continuously then you need to blast at extreme temperatures eg. Freezing or boiling hot. The purifying is a bit up and down but seems to generally do the job. Such a shame for the price.

Excellent heater for the Winter
I read reviews with people talking about it's noise level, however I find the noise level is quite minimal sometimes I can't even tell if it's on or off. The heating feature is excellent it heats up my room within minutes and you're able to set the timer so that it warms the room just in time before you go to bed. Unlike cheap heaters this dyson heater doesn't have that burn smell when turned on as expected from a dyson product.

ect is not as great because it is just a fan which blows air at room temperature and doesn't have any coolant. The purifier is great too as it keeps the air clean and you're able to monitor the air quality via the mobile app. 4 stars instead of 5 stars as it has yet integrated with IOT such as Google Home or IFTTT. I hope future updates will support it as I am using Google Home to control several devices I have at home, but for Dyson I have to use the mobile app for now.Similar opinion? Got this upon many friends' rave. Dyson is just wonderful. I really use this all the time, under different weather circumstances.
This fan is terrific for heating. It produces a "relaxing" non-intense heat that I love. I am not a fan of most heaters because I don't like the feel of hot air blasting towards me, just as I don't like fans blasting air at me.
Big bonus is the air purifier. I have allergies so this really helps me to maintain the level in my room. I can monitor from the app very easily.
Love how I can turn on/off with the app also. Just wish this would get integrated into the Home app on my iPhone!

I would have to find a box to ship it in, wait until they receive it, then standby for approximately 7 days before I had a call from one of their technicians. Oddly enough I was concerned that the expensive item I had just purchased will be sitting in a service center for a period of time longer than what I had actually owned it for. The same lady who had advised me of this was also helpful enough to tell me she’s signing me up to receive marketing offers as I wanted it (I didn’t, I said no, just couldn’t believe the way in which it was done)1 comment

All that research...
I can't get the app to work. The recommended position is on the floor. I can't tell whether or not the air is clean because from my height - bending down is a problem for me - I can't properly see the display. It is supposed to be picked up by the base, not the loop. Once again, a problem for me. The noise others have referred to wasn't a problem with mine, until I turned it down and it was noisier than before. Dyson helpline had over a 40 minute wait. My sister's vacuum cleaner had a serious design flaw, resulting in injury to her, and just after its warranty expired it did too. It went into the rubbish. er whole vacuum cleaner into the rubbish bin and that the only way she could be compensated was to receive a new vacuum cleaner (of course she did not expect this to happen). Then she received notification that there was a parcel at her Post Office for collection. She went to the effort (and it was considerable) of picking it up to find that it was from Dyson and was a motorised head, no charge. Nonsensensical. Did Dyson not believe that she had thrown her Dyson into the rubbish? Did they think she could retrieve her Dyson and miraculously a new head would repair it? (Or maybe resting with coffee grounds, orange peel and cabbage cores would bring it to its senses and it would decide to work again) She wants to return it to Dyson but that involves either a long walk or a bus trip that only runs during office hours and would involve taking time off work. Not everyone who buys a Dyson is young, wealthy, healthy with a car. I have 4m x6m bed room and my Dyson hot and cool purifier seems doesn’t heat up the room as expected . It started at 12 degrees and been turning it on for almost an hour at the highest setting I.e fan speed at 10 and temp at 37 degrees. However the temperature is stuck at 15 and won’t go higher. When setting my hot+cold to a set temperature on auto it doesn't regulate to that temperature. It seems to constantly be a higher temperature in the room unless I then set to manual and press the cooling button. Should it self regulate a desired temperature or does it not work like that?

If your Dyson Pure Hot+Cool is in monitoring mode, you won't be able to adjust the fan speed and it won't oscillate.
We would encourage turning increasing the target temperature so your machine begins heating, and you should then find it will be able to oscillate and you will be able to change the fan speed.
