Expensive but worth it
Purchased this on sale and with CashBack for use in a newborn nursery for winter. Fast delivery and very good fan and heater. Uncertain how it compares to the Hot and Cool tower with regards to the purifier and whether you can actually tell the difference. Not super loud, slightly heavy but easy to use. Turns on and heats very quickly. Have yet to wait for our first power bill.
Purchased in April 2021 at Catch for $599.00.

Expensive product but I am happy with the purchase.
The fan has a cool design and is easy to use. Also, I like the way it shows the graph and information on the app. It should be noted that this fan cant replace an air conditioning or a heater however it can supplement them. I do feel that air quality has improved since having it. Maybe placebo effect?

Great little product
Easy to set up and has a remote that is magnetised and 'sticks' to the top of the fan, in easy reach. Using the remote you can select from cool air or heated air and the fan moves from side to side. Takes up very little space and looks stylish.

Disappointed
Product is functional when it is powered on the problem is that this unit turns off after 8 hours of constant on so the monitor feature becomes void because the unit does not turn on when it detects poor air quality very poor design flaw. This feature does not have an type of override very disappointed for such an expensive unit. I purchased 2 of these to keep the air flowing and clean does not do this as advertised.

Bushfires
Bought the hot and cold purifier because of the bushfires. The Pm2.5 levels outside are over 300. Inside only38. I'm not going anywhere I'm staying at home with my new best friend my Dyson. I'm scared of the long term damage of the particles. Expensive but I'm not putting a price on my health.

Mostly Love It
I’ve had the unit for a couple of years now and have used it intermittently, mostly during spring and summer months. The last couple of months I’ve used it more because of the terrible bushfires all over NSW Australia. I don’t live directly in a bushfire area at the moment. I often get crazy readings and wondering if anyone can explain it. Air quality in my area today is marked as “Hazardous”, and one look outside shows a think blanket of dirty bushfire smoke. The Dyson is reporting the outside air as “Good”, which it clearly isn’t, and inside air as “Very Poor”, which it shouldn’t be as all windows and doors have been closed in the past few hours.

Too noisy for the bedroom
There's a metallic fan in this machine that makes a grinding noise. Makes it entirely unusable overnight. Ok to use during the day, but you'll have to switch it off at night

We certainly wouldn't expect your Dyson Pure Hot+Cool machine to make a grinding noise and will only be happy to help get this resolved.
Please email your details to [email protected] and we will only be happy to help.
Still doing it - I'm returning it to the store today. I'm guessing it's just a poorly build unit. I'll try another - but if that exhibits the same issue I'll be asking for a full refund.

Not sure
The app gives wrong information. Current AQI in Canberra is over 200 according to ACT health but app says 90.
Also in my Canberra living room, the AQI is shown to be 0 from the moment plugged in.. I noticed AQI only raises a tiny bit when the fan is at level 1.
I'm sceptical to believe the AQI information atm.

In which mode should the PM levels should be displayed?
I noticed that in auto - fan mode the levels are always 0 but in auto -diffuse mode they show higher levels. Is that correct?
Dyson Team ..Dyson
To confirm, the Dyson Pure Hot+Cool Link will not show indoor PM levels. Apologies for any disappointment.

Life changing air purifier
The air quality is poor in my area given the recent fires in NSW. Used this for 2 hours in the room and as soon as I walked out of the room, noticed a change with the smokey smell in other portions of the house and not in the room.

Faulty out of box
Bought in the lead up to the severe bushfires as my partner has severe allergies. Fan seemed to work for a good two minutes but shows error code soon after. Filter was easy to access/change/clean. The unit I got was faulty out of box, purchased directly from Dyson.
Contacting support was easy enough, return shipping label was provided via email, however experience is poor so far. Their standard procedure would be to assess the unit and repair, (i requested for a straight replacement as that is what I have purchased, not a refurbished product)...Read more
. Three working days to receive the automated email that the returned product has been received. Over a week since the purchase, no product, no word, no update and bad air that I had tried to be prepared for with this purchase.Purchased in November 2021 at Dyson.

Good for heating
Dual function, can be used during winter and summer. It's great for heating small spaces, but not as good in cooling spaces. Fan's power is limited. However, as all with all dyson products, its design is sleek and pleasant.

Blows cold air slightly in standby ?
I just got my dyson am09, delivered an hour ago. I unpacked it and I set it at 20 and off it went. Great. Got to the room temp and shut off as expected, but then I notice a draft, I put the back of my hand to the heater and I can feel air coming out very very slightly. I put my ear to the base and it sounds like the motor is turning. But its very very slow. I have two fans and the other one does not do this. Do I have a faulty one ?

Poor temperature control function but otherwise ok
So I bought this for the nursery as it has temperature control function and offers both hot and cooling options. The heating function is great, it heats up the room very quickly. However I was disappointed with the temperature control function, say for example, if I wanted to control the room temp at 23 degrees I found that the room is usually about 2 degrees higher than the set temperature (that is, 25 degrees). That’s not ok for a nursery and puts baby at risk of overheating. Because of this we can’t rely on the timer function, instead we have to keep a close watch on the temperature and wake up frequently to switch it on and off.

Excellent fan & heater with air purification!
I recently ordered the Dyson Pure Hot Cool Link fan (HP03) and it has lived up to my expectations of Dyson based on previous fans I've owned. The cooling and heating work as well as ever, but the two key benefits of the HP03 over other previous and more basic models is the air purification and app support.
Air purification is the key selling feature given it's in the name and it appears to work well. The filter is a $99 replacement in the future but Dyson suggests this may last a year or so with normal use which is similar to other air purifie...Read more
rs. In my limited time with the HP03 it does work well and I believe the dust levels are similar to what we had previously where I had a much larger (and uglier) Philips air purifier running 24/7. We have a newborn child and really appreciate knowing there is an air purification to help keep fumes and smoke, as well as dust and other allergens out of harm's way. The more interesting addition is the Link capability. I used an iPhone X with the Dyson app and found the set up process very quick and easy, and enjoyed being able to control all functions using the remote control built into the app from anywhere in the house, as well as viewing the air quality history stats on a graph over the past week. The scheduling feature is also great for setting up the heater mode to turn on every morning just before we are due to commence feeding for the baby, and it helps ensure it's evenly heated and clean. The remote control included in the box is similar to previous Dyson fans and includes the various buttons and features plus some additional oscillation/diffuse modes which may be new to those who haven't used more recent or expensive Dyson models. Beyond the above two new features, the fan and heater continues to work very well with the bladeless design. It gives the room a more evenly cooled/heated feeling rather than the "whoosh" in your face you get from conventional $20 fans. This anecdotally can help if you might be affected by the wind in the room, but also adds significant cost to this premium fan. Overall though, I would still highly recommend the HP03 and when on sale (sub $600) it's a good alternative to portable AC units as it's much smaller, lighter, energy efficient and "smart".Purchased in August 2021 at Dyson for $525.00.

Helping with study and sleep
DYSON CHAMPION
Since receiving the Dyson Pure Hot + Cool we have placed it in my sons room, as a yr 12 student he spends endless hrs in his room studying and trying to sleep . We were having a problem with the central heating going to his room, so we turned the vent off with the Dyson he has been able to maintain a comfortable environment in which to study and sleep. My son has noticed a reduction in the amount of dust in his room, as an allergy sufferer this has been very helpful.

Questions & Answers
Andry P.asked
I have 4m x6m bed room and my Dyson hot and cool purifier seems doesn’t heat up the room as expected . It started at 12 degrees and been turning it on for almost an hour at the highest setting I.e fan speed at 10 and temp at 37 degrees. However the temperature is stuck at 15 and won’t go higher. Is there something wrong with my machine?
1 answer
Hi Andry, you should take this up with the manufacturer, your fan may be faulty.
Dean W.asked
When setting my hot+cold to a set temperature on auto it doesn't regulate to that temperature. It seems to constantly be a higher temperature in the room unless I then set to manual and press the cooling button. Should it self regulate a desired temperature or does it not work like that?
2 answers
Hi Dean, I find it easier to set the manual function because I work from a home office. I find it very responsive on the manual settings. I will test it out and send you the results.
Dyson Team ..Dyson
When a temperature is selected, the Dyson Pure Hot+Cool should certainly only heat up to the target temperature.
If you find it is going beyond this, please email [email protected] and we will be happy to help.
Emilee t.asked
Why will my fan not oscillate when it’s on heating mode? I was also wondering why the air speed won’t change when it’s on heating mode
2 answers
Hi Emilee, my Dyson fan heater does both so I suspect it needs to be returned as faulty, to the place of purchase. Hope that helps.
Dyson Team ..Dyson
If your Dyson Pure Hot+Cool is in monitoring mode, you won't be able to adjust the fan speed and it won't oscillate.
We would encourage turning increasing the target temperature so your machine begins heating, and you should then find it will be able to oscillate and you will be able to change the fan speed.
