Winix zero is an excellent purifier and does exactly what it says to do.
Air is noticeably fresher and cleaner and great at filtering out bushfire smoke just set to auto and forget
Uses about 70 watts on high so pretty good

Price price price.Australians get ripped off in a big way as this model is identical to the U.S Winix HR900, Aussie price between $600_$750 U.S price $220 U.S so like tad over 300 AUD so more than twice the price in AUD for same model which is outrageous.

I liked my Winix AUS-9500 so much, I decided to buy another one. Initially disappointed to find the AUS-9500 had been superseded by the Zero+ I bought one anyway because of the predominantly positive reviews right here on ieatwords.

I purchased a Zero 5 model, due to the heavy smoke from the bushfires. The air purifiers at the local stores had all sold out, but with the very generous help by Scott from Ausclimate was able to source one, and had it delivered very promptly! I was very impressed with the effort and customer service I received from the very first phonecall.

Purchased two Zero+Pro 5s a couple of months ago, after considering the range of products on the market. We made this double purchase after contacting the sales office and getting helpful advice about unit effectiveness. We have one downstairs, and one upstairs immediately under the Air conditioner air filter intake. This enables the winix's purified air to be sucked straight into the air conditioner intake and distributed around the house.

Now I have the WINIX zero 4 and 5. Both easy to clean. I simply diarise the next clean. Easy to relocate around the house if needed. Fabulous value for money. The Zero 5 has hepa, carbon, pest dander, dust filters. Very responsive to air quality changes. Quiet. We leave both units on 24 hours on automatic. The difference between inside and outside air is tangible. These units mean I don't need to wear a face mask when I'm at home. In the current Sydney smoke haze, 2 of these purifiers are creating a clean air retreat through our entire house. The air quality monitor is surprisingly sensitive and detects changes when an outside door is opened only briefly 2 rooms away. Allergy problems have been noticeably reduced . I bought two units from Ausclimate at a bundle purchase offer with $100 cash credit too! Been using them for few weeks, I noticed the air filter changed to red colour (high pollution) when the stove is on, candle is lighted, and even my dishwasher and wifi is on plus many more little activities which will cause the filter to filter out the air into different strength/level. After discussing my needs with Scott I decided to purchase the Winix ZERO+ PRO5-stage. I was very sick with allergies and asthma. The first night I used the PRO 5 I had immediate relief. I live in Alice Springs where the find dust is everywhere and causes a dry cough or sneezing. This machine has definitely helped me get a better nights sleep.
