Difficult to Return!
We found Ecosa Mattress very hard and decided to return it within the trial period. I've been getting run around to pick up the mattress and process the refund. I've been asked to drop the mattress to charity in order to refund the money. Its been 10 days, I am having run-around with Ecosa staff to organise the return of the mattress.

Problems with return and refund
I tried mattress as per policy for 2 weeks, but it was definitely not what I expected.
I want to return the mattress and started the process already 3 weeks ago!I have to write many emails to support, but so far support team is absolutely useless. Salvation Army doesn't call me to pick up mattress and I cannot get my refund. Ecosa only replies, that they will follow up and nothing is going on. I have been waiting 3 weeks and really sick to be messed around. I also called to Salvo, my closest shop even didn't know about Ecosa!

Fake company fake policies
I ordered this mattress because my husband has acute backache after a major motor car accident. At the time of purchase we had enquired many times that if mattress doesn't suit his health will it be easy to return. Ecosa team mentioned that they donate the mattress if it doesn't suit and told us that charity team will come and pick the mattress from your place. We live on 2nd floor and we had specifically told that we would need delivery at our door on 2nd floor and in case of a return would need the collection from our door as my husband canno...Read more
t carry the mattress downstairs, to which they mentioned you need not worry about anything, everything will be taken care by us. Since the mattress is just not right it isn't helping my husband's health situation but rather has increased his pain. Now, when we want to return the mattress, the salvos people are not ready to carry it downstairs and ecosa says they do not have any partner charity who would do that. Please people do not fall for this company. They trick you and take your money and in return provide you a bad product with ridiculous service. If their collection terms depend on the charity they should write that in the return policy. At the time of purchase everything is so good and friendly and later on they do not take responsibility of their service. Its a shame that this business exist in Australia.1 comment

Very very hard!
We bought this mattress earlier in the year. It is incredibly hard. We waited to see if it would soften over time but when it didn't we bought the topper to try and soften it. It certainly softens it. Too much. It's not comfortable to sleep on and now we're suffering back pain. We're outside of the 100 days now though so we're stuck with it. Very disappointed. I really wanted the good reviews to be right.

Mattress is not that bad but company is terrible to deal with returns and refunds.
First of all there website doesn't give confirmation of order from some of safari browser even money goes from your account. they did double charge and took weeks to give your refund back terrible experience dealing with company

Like lying on a brick - excruciating pain
I have had health beds mattresses before, which have been perfect, and other memory foam and latex ones. I replaced this after ours got lost in shipping. It arrived with a slight fault (tuft sticking out) a few hours before a $50 reduction deal, which was annoying as I could have sent it back. I have been sick with migraine and neck and back pain in less than a week of using this - it is as hard as a brick and terrible for anyone with slipped discs or the like. I can't wait until the 14 day trial is over to send it back as the pain is intolerable. Worst mattress ever. Also extremely hot.

The Ecosa mattress is built to be firm enough for great back support, also soft on your shoulders and hips. It allows the mattress to shape to your body and release pressure. It will soften over time with continued use. Please send us an email if you're still having issues with it so we can assist you accordingly.It's as hard as a brick and has caused major pain. Waste of money.
Left mattress for 72 hours to inflate. Within one week of use an obvious ridge formed along middle and sag on one side. Rang to return and informed we had to wait 14 day trial period before able to return then we would have to wait up to 10 days for Salvation Army to contact us with a pick up date and if they did not want it then it would be an unspecified time to find someone to take the mattress before any refund would be forthcoming. Warranty not worth a pinch of salt. Don't waste your money.

Good luck getting your money back, i've been waiting 3 weeks and counting.
Returned bed as it was too hot for me to sleep on without sweating in winter. On their site they say "Once the mattress has been collected you will be issued with a full refund."
What they actually mean is that once the mattress is collected it's now your job to let them know its been picked up. Then you have to wait until the Salvation army has confirmed its been picked up. So if they don't confirm (as they haven't in my case) then Ecosas system is to sit there with their "dedicated team" and wait for the Salvation army to let them know its been collected.
It's now been 3 weeks now, no money and no mattress and sleeping on the couch. Thanks Ecosa!

Not the best.
Too hard for me, little conformity to the female shape, hubby comfortable on side, I'm not. Am keeping it for him. New Zealand'S Ecosa reviews are horribly biased compared to these.

In addition (because you only get 32 words to write your review) it sinks down overnight and not to your body shape. I wake very sore and achy and tired from this matress. Worth 2 stars really.

Terrible mattress and even worse customer service
Mattress peaks in the middle my partner and I almost roll off the bed - We clinging to the edge for dear life. Protective inner cover zip broken - poor quality. No chance of spooning as we roll apart.
The mattress was placed on a standard king slat base and was used by a female couple of standard weight.
Mattress is so bad we have decamped the spare room. I cannot sleep on it due to the hump in the middle and low sides.

ictures with a broom we even added a level so they could see the fault -inc zip split. I had to take the mattress off the bed - photograph it with the first cover removed then the second on a flat floor. It has to include a broom handle across it. I complied then moved the mattress on the bed and re made it. They then requested more photo to a different standard. So I now have to do the same thing again - they are being onerous and changing the rules. Faulty bed has caused major lumbar issues and I am under the care of a Physio so is my partner. We honor our promise of a replacement in case of a fault in our mattress which is a dip or sag of more than 2cm. Please understand that we need proper documentation and a clear photo of the fault with the measurement of the dip. As soon as the required photo is received, we will process the warranty replacement ASAP.Ecosa after a very convoluted process arranged a replacement and a pick up of the old mattress. Whilst I would not recommend a bed in a box they came good in the end and the final staff member I had dealings with was very responsive - thank you

Phenomenal!!!
My husband laughed at me with a bed in a box, he thought it was a joke and a waste of money. He has literally eaten his words now, and says it is the best purchase I have ever made. Thank you so much, finally a decent mattress. Believe the hype, buy it with confidence you can return it if you don't like it. Trust me, you won't part with it once you've had a few nights sleep on it.

Had this mattress for over 3 years and have spent thousands on chiropractic sessions since
Bought a queen size bed in 2016. As they age these foam mattresses soften in the middle and are bad for your back. Dont get it and save chiropractic money.

Terrible and not worth the money
I hope the government does a thorough check on these expensive mattresses of yours as they seem to be used and not brand new. I don't believe they are genuine and i believe they are sending in mattresses that are used or not in good quality. Terrible terrible terrible. Please beware I do not recommend

Woke up in pain night after night. Tried to return, took 3 calls before mattress collected then ecosa refused to give refund until I threatened escalation. Dreadful post sale service!

Loving it so far
Fast delivery to regional Victoria.
Would be easy to move the box from the courier to bedroom if wheels had of been on box, which they weren't, so harder but manageable with one person.
Easy to unpackage with enclosed opener.
Mattress inflates easily.
Very comfortable to sleep on.
Only reason it didn't get five stars is because there is no edge support around the mattress.

Not so happy
The mattress is supposed to be softer on medium firmness and it’s still rock hard because I’ve had it for over 100 days but only slept on it for abit over 2 months they wont refund and take it back, very professional from this company

Terrible product - terrible customer service - terrible return policy for faulty products
Delivery was cancelled and we were not advised. Delivery rescheduled and arrived 8 hours late.
Mattress opened and product faulty. Ecosa asked us to prove it despite us forwarding photos.
Call centre only offshore - no Australia contact.
No refunds allowed as you need to sleep on the mattress for 14 days.
Another mattress sent out. Also has sagging sides.
Still no refund allowed for 14 days.
Ecosa have arranged Salvation Army to collect faulty product within 10 days - I asked why the Salvation army wants faulty mattresses. Sounds like dumping to me.

Really happy with my mattress purchase
After needing to replace my 3 year old pillowtop mattress because of the large dip in the centre, I researched mattresses of all descriptions for almost 6 months before I purchased my Ecosa mattress. I didn't want to get stuck with a dud again. I read hundreds of reviews on over a dozen different types of mattresses. . Seriously, they were the only things I could find that set it above all the others on paper. Because let’s face it, you can't tell a damn thing about a mattress by looking at a picture on a computer. Ecosa was similar to OneBed, Koala, Ergoflex, Sleeping Duck etc. And not having slept on any of them, I had to rely on reviews and their guarantees when making my purchase. So I thought I'd make this as in-depth as possible to help others make their own mattress choice. Not living in a metro area, it arrived in 4 days. Pretty good I thought. It was easy to get out of the box (if you're doing it alone, put it on the bed frame first) and within minutes it had inflated. I set it up, made it and couldn't wait to get into bed that night. After climbing into bed and snuggling down I lay there for a few minutes and thought holy crap, I've bought a slab of concrete! Honestly, the first few nights were a nightmare. My back ached, my hips ached, my shoulders ached. I wanted to send it back after 72 hours. I was kicking myself for buying another dud. And this time I'd purchased it without even laying on it! During my research, I remembered reading over and over again that it took about 2 weeks for the bed to "settle and soften". I don't know why I thought my bed would do this faster, but I was kidding myself. 2 weeks into sleeping on my new mattress, and I was kinda liking it. It's now just after the 100 night guarantee has finished and I have to say, I really kind of love it. I have it set on the medium setting (how it arrives) with the memory foam on the top. I'm not usually a lover of memory foam because I find it hot to sleep on, but not this stuff. I don't know what they've done to it, but I really do find it a dream to sleep on. Your body heat heats up the memory foam and it allows you to sink into it just a little. Not so much that you feel like you're sleeping on a marshmallow, but enough that you don't feel pressure on your joints if you sleep on your side, or your lower back if you sleep on your back. It didn't have any chemical smells, its light enough that I can move it around on my own and its not as deep as my old pillowtop mattress so all my linen fits it easily. I haven't rotated it during the 100 night guarantee period to purposely see if a dip has been created by sleeping in the same spot and so far nothing. If you roll from one side of the bed to the other you can feel a little dip where you moved from, but this easily bounces back in a minute or two. My advice if you like a medium to firm mattress, buy yourself an Ecosa. Persevere for 2 weeks and make your judgement after that. Believe me, it will take the 2 weeks to soften (they send them out purposely hard so they don't over-soften) but after that, I think you'll love it. Terrible communication and delivery of bed frame. Forgot my order and they didn't assemble the frame
Initially Ecosa forgot my order. I took the day off work to wait for the delivery and it never arrived. I got in contact with Ecosa and since I wasn't willing to take another day off work to wait for something that might or might not arrive they could not deliver it to the Saturday, which was 5 days later. When the bed frame finally arrive the company didn't assemble the bed frame like the advertise online.

They give you a 100 night free trial, and if you don’t like it you can send it back within that time frame. Can always give it a go and see if you like it or not. For me it was a no, way to firm.

Matt is correct in the trial process. You can try it, and if it does not meet your preferences you are able to return it at no cost and for a full refund.
We do recommend that you give the mattress a try, however, if you are against it, simply email our great customer service team and they will be able to arrange a collection of your un-opened mattress.

I just received my ecosa queen mattress, and it's been an hour but it's looks lopsided and hasn't inflated fully.
It also is off the ground at the edges, is that how it's supposed to be ?

Anyone actually had the mattress picked up by the salvos? I have a faulty (Confirmed by ecosa) and very smelly mattress from ecosa that they said will need to be donated to the salvos. I’m wondering how this process works as it seems like many people have had problems. Also the mattress and topper stink!! A strong burnt plastic smell that had stunk out my upstairs so I am trying to get it out ASAP and get a refund.
