Have been caught good and proper with this crap
The black plastic ends on the tank have let go and insulation is starting to come out, unit is 7 years old, they will replace the unit but we have to pay $2100 to have it change over, very disappointing, steer clear of this crap product and don't get caught like we have with this rubbish .
Bunch of cowboys, not honest and deceiving.
Big promises but once it comes down to the facts they all hide from the managing director to the franchisee..

Wont honour warrenty
We have a 10year warrenty including replacement and service to reinstall, the tank has faulted after 8 years and they have replaced the tank but refuse to reinstall, they have changed there policies many times and have no records of sales contracts from 8 years earlier. I have all of the documentation but they refuse to acknowlegde it. The earliest they have is 6 months after my contract started. They think it may have been current then. How could it, it was 6 months later.NOT GOOD ENOUGH

DUX EcoSmart, do not buy it, fails about every 2 years with $1200 bill to change controller and or d
Original unit failed so many times in the first year Dux replaced it
Then 2 years later hot logic controller and diverter valve failed $1,200 so I paid.
Then another about 2 years later hot logic controller and diverter valves failed again so I have put a complaint through the consumer affairs and this is under consideration at the moment as Dux refused the warranty claim
....not very good customer service if the unit or parts only last 2 years... best to avoid DUX

Ecomart Solar Adelaide. What a joke. Bad installer. Beware!!!!
I chose ecosmart based on what the sales consultant told me. Very slick. Once I paid the deposit that's when the fun started.
1. Had to change the installation date. Which was ok, however no follow up after this. I had to call them to see if the installation was going ahead.
2. The installer was a "cowboy" and shouldn't be in the industry.
a)First I had to supply a ladder because he didn't have one.
b)Had to cut extra holes in my wall as he didn't have a drill bit to drill through the timber noggins.
c) installed the panles & breached the...
Ecosmart solar hot water system nil customer service
After contacting ecosmart in May 2018 in order to have my hot water system serviced, I was promised that I would get a call back to arrange a date and time. Nearly 2mths later still no service. Since that time the solar panel has failed and continually leaks, 3 service requests to ecosmart and no reply at all, I have contacted the supplier Dux who have told me that my panel is still under warranty and that they would have the local contractor contact me that day and arrange repairs within the next 2 days. 2 days later not even a phone call. ...
Read more Even though I still have a year or so of warranty I am now actively taking quotes from other solar hot water suppliers as I have absolutely no faith in this company. I am also looking to expand my solar power with more panels and battery storage, I guess it won't be ecosmart getting that business.Receive up to 3 quotes with ieatwords.com.au

Terrible customer service
I had an Ecosmart solar energy system installed.
From the start there were minor problems with arranging an install time, finally after many months it was installed. I signed up in June and installation was completed in February of the following year.
The inverter failed within the warranty period and when I contacted Ecosmart I was told they were only a "facilitator" and got the trades together. I would have to organise my own repairs.
I contacted the inverter manufacturer LATronics in QLD and they were more than helpful but told me they no longer dealt with Ecosmart.
I'm now looking at upgrading the system and 2 of my neighbours are putting new systems on. Ecosmart were not in the choices due to my previous dealings with them.

False advertising and continual problems
I have had my Ecosmart system for just over two years. It was estimated I should save between $800 and $1000 per year switching from gas, but 6 weeks after installation I received a letter from my gas company suggesting I change to a solar hot water system due to the sudden increase in gas usage! Ever since it was installed, my gas usage has been higher than it ever was. Despite numerous complaints to the company, nothing has been done. It has also died twice - the first time when it was 15 months old. When I contacted Ecosmart, the response was "you bought it, so it's your problem now" and I have had to organise all repairs myself. The product and company are both terrible.

after sales service
I have lately been contacted by the company so there may be some help soon with my original complaint. At least they have taken serial numbers, invoices etc and my details
