Terrible product, horrible service!
I bought 2 dishwashers from them, both broke down within 1 year. Technician came out and wants to charge $145 call out fee. He blamed it on cockroaches causing the board to blow but after replacing the board, it still didn't work. Asked for proof photoes, they didn't give it.
The 1st one they made me pay $200 for RRP difference to have it replaced, and this is being under warranty lol. 2nd one they do the same thing and want to charge me $590 RRP difference, don't know where they pulled that out from but initially i only paid $500 for each. So ...Read more
this time i said no thanks. The whole process was frustrating, full of running around and promises to be contacted by managers that never called you back. How sad, it used to be a good brand. STAY AWAY.

Cracked Electrolux Dryer Drum! Electrolux fixed it!!
I bought a Electrolux HeatPump Dryer from @TheGoodGuysAU which costed me 1,804$ with 5 Years extended warranty for 205$ after 3 years and 10months of use the dryer drum showed up cracks, this was just after weekly use of drying normal cloths.
Called up Concierge service expecting it to be covered and they said its a Manufacturing default and they cant cover it and after multiple follow up and escalation with Concierge service they forwarded that to the Manufacturer, who said they are not going to cover it because it is out of warranty and appa...Read more
rently it should have been covered by this company called as Domestic Engine - who good guys deal with and they said it is not covered because its a manufacturing default and not a mechanical or electrical fault. The Email from Extended Warranty said "unable to signpost a claim under Concierge service, as we would not consider this to be a mechanical or electrical failure of the product but more akin to a manufacturing fault." I paid a lot of money for this product and certainly expect it to last more than 4 years. After getting weary of going back and forth i agreed to get it repaired by Electrolux who said that it will cost me 145$ as call out and additional fee for the part to fix, i dont understand why i have to pay if its a manufacturing fault! also I am still waiting for the technician and to call me. Update in regards to this; I am very pleased to say that today a Technician from Electrolux attended and replaced the drum and they have waived off the cost. Even though I have lost faith in Goodguys and their Concierge Service Electrolux have certainly gained back my trust. Special appreciation to the technician who attended my home dealing with him was the most pleasant thing in this whole ordeal.3 comments
Hi Shannan,
Someone from Electrolux contacted me and the same Technician who was going to come and replace the drum is now going to come this Friday to check and investigate why the drum cracked in the first place. Will update this thread then.

Electrolux fridge freezer noise
I brought this fridge 6 months ago and the constant noise that comes from it is very annoying especially when watching the television you can here it. It’s not a loud noise but low dull sound which stops when you open the door. I did ask Electrolux if this is normal which they replied with well it may be a normal sound of the motor or condenser. I have a Samsung fridge in the garage that is 1 year old and that is 100% better and considering selling this piece of junk for half the price and bringing the old one back inside. Disappointing buy

t is still under warranty but the service department said I will incur a fee if it is deemed normal sounds coming from the fridge. I did go out and buy a soundproof sheet and placed around near the back and surrounded it but still can here the noise. I guess from when my father used to service the old fridges years ago things have changed with customer service.. If that doesn’t work I will sell it for half price and make sure I listen to a fridge that is running in a store before I make my next purchase decision!! Cheers JasonSimilar opinion? Would give 0 stars if possible
Organsed someone out to inspect an oven that would not turn on in a new property purchased.
They insisted that they were unable to identify the model of the oven when given photos and serial number inside the oven. So I paid for the service call out and the oven technician were able to instantly recognise that it just required to be switched on from a hidden button behind a flap which we were unaware of - which took 10 seconds. They did not bother to check anything else.
The oven door seals were actually worn out due to age which they should'...Read more
ve been able to easily identify, yet it required a second call out to replace which I presume is the business model that they desire and strive for. To call the customer service team a joke and incompetent of offering adequate customer service would be an understatement.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

EWF12853EcoInverter: Can I give ZERO stars?
If I was to live my life over the last year or so again, I would buy a rock and do my washing by hand. From the very beginning this machine has caused me severe angst. Customer Service and Electrolux is an oxymoron!!! It does not exist!! Repairman was condescending and totally unsatisfactory! The machine continually limps along, cuts-out, stops, resets itself. The door locks and have to open with a screw driver. I cannot wait for this machine to totally die so I can buy my rock!!!!

Customer Service doesn't exist
We bought a base model dishwasher some years ago as our money is always tight as a family of six. It started to burn its electrics so it was replaced under warranty. Then the control board went, so the board was replaced. Another control board is dead and you can only get a service if you guarantee to pay the call out fee of $145. SDo I pay and I get all the excuses about how it could possibly have happened again, but when you really press hard they agree that the board has its problems because they didn't even test the machine. They took one ...Read more
look at the model number and said it could not be fixed. I was given a choice, have it repaired again or buy a new machine and get a hefty discount. I chose the repair. Having agreed to replace the control board free of charge (but I get no refund for the first service call) I ask for a confirmed day for the replacement. After no answer to three emails, I called and got a lovely person who acknowledged that nothing had been organised, but confirmed it for the next day. But Electrolux cancelled that one and move it to the next day. Not wanting to wait any longer, I left work at lunch to get home early. Service man arrived to ask "what was wrong with the dishwasher". He had been given no history of the machine, nor the repair required and the part has not even been ordered. Go Electrolux. I am now a walking and talking advertisement to never, and I mean never, expect quality of equipment or customer service from Electrolux.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Electrolux 5 year life, 0 stars
Bought this machine and have struggled to use for a very longtime. The repair guy was great and he tried to sell me another machine but I will never buy Electrolux again. For the amount of money this washer dryer cost me and the amount of trouble I’ve had with it I wouldn’t trust buying another one. The repair guy said your kids probably ruined it but spilling water over the electronics board at the front of the machine. No one else goes near my machine lol.

No support
I bought an EWF10831 washing machine in 2012. Worked well for 6 years then we had to replaced door seal and main board.
10 months later, main board failed, new one installed and failed on power up (no display). Replaced board again, worked for 1 wash then motor operation intermittent, no fault codes displayed ever. Removed motor and tested, ok. Reinstalled, still not working. Requested assistance from Electrolux, 2 weeks passed, no response.
Had it with this machine, will be buying anything but Electrosux.

Appalling call out fee- Electrolux Dryer
150 dollars to disable a child lock feature which appeared one day out of the blue and apparently only needed two buttons simultaneously pressed to disable. Tried all day to do it myself but couldn’t make it work, obviously a knack and to take 150 dollars charge fee is very ordinary. Reading the forums, looks like an inherent problem. I certainly wouldnt recomment Electrolux to anyone.

Disappointing serviceSydney, NSW
Dreadful service
I recently contacted Electrolux to request a service of my Westinghouse oven. The technician arrived and was most unfriendly; almost hostile. Was present for 10 minutes and charged $185.00, admittedly fixing the oven door. I asked if he could assist me in resetting the clock and he said to read the instruction book! Frustratingly when I went to use the oven it wouldn’t work!

Horrible Kelvinator Air conditioner
Bought this Kelvinator reverse cycle 5.0kw last year and had it installed by a licensed electrician. The aircon broke down just under 12 months (still within warranty). Electrolux sent out an electrician who said it's not the unit, it's the installation and tried to charge $350. No further information was provided.
I asked the installation licensed electrician to attend who tested everything he needed to test and assessed further, there is an actual issue with the aircon unit itself. My real estate agent and the electrician called Electrolux...Read more
warranty team consultant about the issue and was told that this has gone back to Electrolux now and we are awaiting for a time they can attend and re assess the unit. Been waiting for a month for a call to book the job in however have just found out that the ticket was closed off on 17th April 2022 and we are asked to request for a booking and have to pay for it. I am making a complaint to the office of fair trading.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Worst customer service Experience and please do research before you purchase!
What a horrible customer service experience. We bought a Electrolux Fridge and Freezer. Less then a year and the Fridge starts having issues. I believe I called Electrolux around 10 times. The main response I would get is please refer the user manual! I did this before I called, could not resolve the issue so I called! After around 4 visits to try and fix and replace the same part twice I believe, they finally agree to replace the fridge. I was advised on 3 separate occasions from people who work for Electrolux that the fridge will be installe...Read more
d by themselves and they will take the old fridge! The driver delivers the fridge and states that it is not his job. A week later I hear nothing and decide to call, after a usual 15 minute wait I was advised they only install ovens...... last time I checked the fridge was the issue, thank goodness I bought a SMEG (Highly recommended) Oven. The person I spoke too actually stated 'it is not that hard to take a fridge out and put one in', I wonder if he is willing to do this. Never again will I look at an Electrolux production. It has taken months to resolve this issue. Such unprofessional customer service that it actually disgusts me.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Substandard upper oven replacement elements
We purchased a Westinghouse Silhouette oven on the 9/6/01. The upper oven element was replaced on the 23/9/14, 6/7/17 & 10/4/19 at considerable expense. The oven is used infrequently. Conclusion- two earlier replacement elements were of substandard quality. I have lost confidence in Electrolux products.

Westinghouse ovens, great if you’re willing to live with a defective oven.
We brought two of the same model ovens, from Westinghouse (owned by Electrolux) be warned Australia!!! The first oven caught on fire!!! And the second one had a faulty thermostat, that according to their repair person “he’s changed numerous thermostats recently in the same model!” When we spoke with numerous staff it was agreed we would not be charged a call out fee if they deemed the fault to be something that is covered by warranty. Once they left they then posted us an invoice for $145 call out fee and denied what was guaranteed by their tea...Read more

Rotten Warranty experience..
If you win an Electrolux product in a raffle or Lucky door prize forget about the warranty.
No docket no warranty. I explained a raffle win situation to Electrolux and from their weak reply it seems the warranty goes the the first owner and it is not transferable.

Have contacted Electrolux several times since buying the WORST washer ever in Dec 2022. Have jsut asked the appliances online i bought it from for help. Terrible machine just doesn't wash properly and clothes are left with a "film" on them at the end as if not rinsing properly and soap suds on door. $800 out of pocket and dirty clothes and NO reply from Electrolux and as did all via their site ( as well as called) I have no record of my emails. Dont know what to do next. appalling performance and customer service also it seems.

I am building a new kitchen however your products seem to be very unreliable and your customer service has very unreasonable policies including an air conditioner which totally rusted within 4 years and then was told I live in a coastal area. My technician said he’d never seen anything like it and my neighbours had aircon for over ten years still going strong. Why is your company sripping people off like this? Just not good enough
