The installation and conversion has to be done by a licensed gas fitter and it is illegal and inadvisable to do it yourself. Your gas fitter would know how to do the correct conversion. Good oven
I like the oven it looks great works good im still getting used to it I like how the bottom of it can come out to Clean its fan forced which is great press a button can comes on so if you don't want fan forced you don't have to and has a timer on it as well the only more negative thing is you have to remove grill tray all the time when you want to use the oven but I'm only used to a seperate grill so still getting used to it overall I like it it looks really good and havnt had a problem so far with the cooking

Oven unusable: insufficient and uneven heat
The oven is unusable as it takes 40 minutes of preheating before you can put the food in, and then a small chicken takes 2 hours to brown and another 30 minutes to cook through. This cooking time is without the oven fan on as it is very noisy and annoying to have on for any length of time, and does not reduce the cooking time. Food cooked in this oven even in a baking dish with a very thick bottom is always burnt on the underside - the fan is of no use in providing an even cooking heat. The gas burner is located underneath a full width tray at ...Read more
the bottom of the oven with a small hole near the front through which the flame can be seen and has several longer holes long each side of this tray. These longer holes do not seem to allow enough heat from the burner to get through to the oven cavity! This bottom tray and the exterior of the whole stove gets extremely hot when the oven is on but the overall cooking heat around the oven racks above it is low to moderate at best. The cook in our household has now refused to use this oven any longer after 3 years and 7 months of trying to bake a variety of food several times each week. We purchased extended warranty and had a technician test and adjust the oven burner to maximum soon after the stove was installed but it has not resolved the problem with the oven. After spending more than $1100 for the stove and installation we do not feel this is good value for the money we spent. Our previous LPG gas stove (Westinghouse upright with separate gas grill) cost less to purchase, worked perfectly for 15 years and had a great oven! We are a small family of good cooks and for us this stove is poorly designed and a waste of money - we are very disappointed with the quality of this stove and would not recommend anyone purchase one.5 comments

repairer. The oven in my stove was tested today by this gas service and found that it is working ok with the correct time for preheating and temperature in the top half of the oven. The repairer was unable to explain why food cooked in this oven burns on the bottom and brown properly on top, and suggested that it is a fairly small oven and to place food at the top of this oven and preheat at a higher heat. So this oven is not faulty apparently but does not work well enough for our family and is not worth the money I paid for it. I will get back to Glemgas and see if they can provide a remedy for this unsatisfactory stove.Sarah at Glemgas sent us a reflector tray which arrived last week for the bottom of the oven free of charge which has fixed the problem of food burning on the bottom - thanks so much Sarah. a roast chicken last night and it still took 2.5 hours to cook at 200 and the potatoes were still a little firm. Next time we will try baking a chicken at 230 instead of 200 - the oven baked 2 loaves of bread at 220 perfectly! So the oven is still a little slow but I feel we can adapt to it now that the food doesn't burn on the bottom at higher heat.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Overheated oven with undercooked food!!!
We had this oven installed in September 2015 to replace our previous oven that blew and was covered under insurance. We didn't get to choose the new oven that was installed, which would be fine if the new one was good, but the oven we were given is just terrible!
To test the oven out we put on a roast chicken with vegetables. The chicken was pre-cooked in a slow cooker then put into a pre-heated oven to cook through. The vegetables had already been cooking for over 90mins. We checked on the chicken 30mins later and it was still undercooked ...Read more
while the vegetables were still quite raw. This was strange because the entire kitchen was so hot we had to set up two fans just to keep cool while cooking! Another hour went by and we couldn't believe it, the chicken was still not cooked! Overall it took 2 hours for the (pre-cooked) chicken and veggies to be cooked through and needless to say, we were starving! While the oven was on, the knobs, stove top and over door were too hot to go near and if a child had touched any part of the oven they would have been burned. This means we cook things in the oven when our one-year-old is asleep to avoid a trip to the hospital.1 comment

No problems with my cooker
I was a bit worried to read these negative reviews AFTER I recently purchased my EM534MVI3, especially since I could have opted for the electric oven, However I am delighted to find that it is a gem; no problem with roasting, no excessive heat, no issues at all. Could be the product has been improved, or maybe the other reviewers were just unlucky, or had bad installations, but I thought it only fair to provide a current review.

Used gas for 40 years but at wits end with oven
I have had this oven for about 3 years. The fan blows out the gas so I can't use it.. I presumed the fitter had put the dial on incorrectly, so when a recipe says 180 degrees I go for 150. I would have got the fitter to return but I live on an island and decided just not to use the fan and to try to figure out this oven. Any baking is burnt on the bottom and uncooked on the top no matter what colour tray you use. The whole stove is extremely hot and I have moved my kitchen benches further away and now have a silly gap. It makes no differenc...Read more
e. Our first use of the oven was when my new daughter-in-law, VJ, cooked a Xmas dinner. Believe me, VJ is a brilliant cook. The situation was exactly as for ellyM and VJ and my son were very embarrassed. I live on a gluten free diet and this type of baking is always difficult but impossible with this oven. I am going to buy a thermometer and will report back to Glemgas the temperature levels. Eileen Stove top is ok but as with all modern gas ovens you can't get the flame down to a very low simmer. I see i am not the only one conned by its good looks.2 comments
Top is fine but the grill is useless, no temperature settings Very difficult to grill efficiently

f stated time to one half of stated time. (With 80% temp) So instead of recipe's 145 degrees and 1&3/4 hours cooking I used 120 degrees (lowest on dial) and it was cooked nicely in 40 minutes. I lined tray with 2 layers of brown paper and one of greaseproof. I heard on the radio that European ovens cook at 80% temperature. EileenSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

i love the look, the gas cook top is brilliant, the oven let me down.
When cooking a roast the 1.5kg on 180c was still underdone after 2 hrs cooking which should have been overcooked.
The room got very hot, the oven door got so hot a child would be burnt if touched, the s/steel top edge facing you was extremely hot and dangerous as well. The knobs could not be used without oven mits as they heated up too. If one is aware of this problem and no children are likely to be around then it would be okay. You would need to be careful. However as I use the top most the accuracy by the gas fitter was brilliant and I ...Read more

Can it work without powered by electricity
2 answers
yes it can work without electricity except for ignition you have to manually light the oven/hot plates with a lighter and the fan and light in the oven won’t work without electricity
Simone E.Emilia
Hi Iain C. - yes, the unit can work without power. You will need to use a match; there is no ignition, grill, light or fan without electricity. Thank you

Hi
We have just had a EM534MV14 installed and the fan is constantly running is this normal ?
It was installed by a proper gas fitter
2 answers
No the fan running constantly is not normal. There should be a fan button on the top front panel (under the Emilia logo) which when pressed in will activate the fan - to turn it off depress the button.

i do need to seat time for my oven but i dont knon what to do please help me

You can not set the time for a gas oven. There is a timer on the control panel but that just rings after the set time is up, it does not control the oven.

Georgie.

If your oven is the same as mine you need to make the temperature 80% of the recommended temperature andcheck the baking about 50% of the recommended time.
Often things take less than 50% of the recommended time.
