Great Value
My First Choice Training experience was excellent, they provided clear instructions for setting up my on line material. Were always contactable with prompt, helpful assistance with the numerous questions I had during the course. Highly recommended.

I initially had my doubts about learning online, I thought the only way to learn was face to face - First Choice Training proved me wrong for sure. I really enjoyed their course material and they provided me with exceptional service and prompt training material.

Fantastic Online Training Organisation
NOTHING BUT PRAISE for my experience with First Choice Training. Their initial correspondence was prompt, detailed and were never bothered by the questions asked. All subsequent queries, both with administration and trainers alike, were answered in a timely manner and with adequate detail. The course content was detailed. Assessment pieces required both a regurgitation of information from course material AS WELL AS (and this is stipulated prior to commencing), own independent research. Marking always occurred within the timeframe as indica...Read more

Should be the Last Choice
The training material is very brief and contains not much information, but you are required to do assignments that are confusing and not having much sense. You will easily be assessed as Not Satisfied and you don't know where to ask for a review and have your assignments reassessed. You made complaint and was told that "our management are all busy with meetings and PDs, and we are not sure when you can get answer from them." My complaint has been held up for three weeks and no reply has been received after I tried several times. That is their way to look after students. This place should be your last choice.

ht submitting work that was definitely not her own. This former student went so far as to submit videos and work books that were from another student who had previously submitted work. The videos in question were created two years before this person even became a student. The written work that was submitted was from a previous student. They were definitely not the workbooks that this student was issued with. She had previously been warned by our organisation about plagiarism and yet continued to do so. She was given free extensions to assist her, but she still did not complete her own work. As plagiarism is a serious breach of the student code of conduct, her enrolment was cancelled. We are in possession of all the documentation required to substantiate our position and are currently seeking advice on taking this matter further.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Firstly, all emails are responded to within 48 hours. This is our contingency measure to ensure all student emails are addressed in a timely manner. We service hundreds of students each day and need to ensure that each question is responded to in a realistic and timely manner. Furthermore, our trainers assist students with a number of different questions within a unit. I cannot comment on this further as there is no evidence to indicate that you were denied the opportunity to ask multiple questions. Secondly, our Student Handbook contains the assessment policy. The assessment policy clearly states that the turnaround time for assessment marking is 20 business days. Yes, there are some units within the course, which are dependent on previous units because you need to learn and develop certain skills before you can tackle the next unit. This is why we provided you with a study plan and the unit order in your welcome letter. The assessment policy also states that each student receives up to 3 attempts (free of charge) to achieve competency in each unit. Please note that you declared on your enrolment form (prior to payment) that you had read and understood the Student Handbook. Thirdly, our training team uses the same benchmark documents to assess all student submissions. This ensures consistency in the marking process. Often, students do not read the assessor’s feedback in their marked assessments and are advised to do so before resubmitting their work. Finally, a student would never receive a ‘not yet competent’ result for submitting additional evidence that meets the assessment activity. If a student submits evidence that does not address the assessment activity, then the assessor will provide feedback about this. Kind Regards, IanSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Second Time is a Charm
This was actually my second attempt at attempting to use an RTO - the first one was horrible (shall remain name less) - however the course was required for job advancement so I begrudgingly tried First Choice Training. I have to say, I was extremely surprised at how amazing and easy to follow their course material was. The instructions were very straightforward and I got the course done quickly while still learning a great amount while undertaking it. I would absolutely suggest that First Choice Training is the only RTO you think of using. Thanks!

Should be your last choice
Terrible RTO to do training with-
-confusing assessments with not enough clear instructions
-assessments were time consuming and lots of double ups
-the learning materials don't contain all the information needed for the assessments
-very slow marking times
-difficult to get in touch with trainers/assessors
I have a university degree and have no trouble with study, but found myself very stressed and frustrated when doing the Cert IV in Training and Assessment course. You would be better off paying for a more expensive and professional course and save yourself the heartache of dealing with First Choice training.

Poor Material and very slow marking/help
I have just completed my TAE thru first choice training. This is not my first experience in online education (i have competed many undergraduate courses this way) and have no problem with computers
I honestly cannot believe some of the other comments, they are so far removed from my experience that it looks like something "fishy" may be going on.

r. There are many cut and paste/gramatical errors particularly in assessments which make completing them first time almost impossible. Many assessment tasks require you to complete 3 slightly different tasks but they have just cut and paste task 1 into task 2 and 3 without any alteration so task 2 and 3 don't quite make sense and need clarification by phone call, so they are aware of problems just choose not to fix them). Considering the course is about creating, reviewing and validating course content/assessment material this is a particularly bad look. There are very few worked examples and so of the ones provided are very poorly created and do not provide enough scope for understanding of essential topics.4 comments

h to learn and understand the topic which i am studying which your course did not allow. Price in no way should effect the quality of material provided. IF i paid less/discount, i should not receive a substandard service, that is why they are nationally recognized courses, everyone should receive the same quality of education. Do people who pay full price for your courses get better course material and priority marking? I can prove the assessment material has many copy/paste errors, i can prove that my average marking time (except when i asked ) is in excess of 20 business days and that my first submission was almost 30 and only marked after i made a phone call to have it marked and that marking was often sloppy, so you can then verify that my comments are true and accurate reflection of course.First Choice T.First Choice College
Dear Kristian,
You have raised a few concerns and I will take this opportunity to address each one. ... Read more
Firstly, it is stated in our Student Handbook that our turnaround time for assessment marking is 20 business days however during peak periods this may exceed the normal turnaround time. Prior to enrolment, you were required to declare on your enrolment form that you read and understood the Student Handbook. The onus is on the prospective learner to read the terms and conditions prior to enrolling. Secondly, the purpose of the course is to ensure your learning is sequential which is why it is important for you to complete the units in the order prescribed. Based on previous student feedback, there was much confusion amongst learners who attempted to complete all their units at the same time. Thirdly, our admin and training teams are available by phone and email from 9am – 5pm because these are our business hours. Furthermore, you are enrolled in a self-paced distance course. We have many students who work full time and have life commitments to attend to and have been able to complete our course by allocating the weekends to their study. That’s great to hear that you are keen to learn and understand the content in the course. You are also correct in stating that the course price should have no bearing on the quality. Our course was audited and approved for delivery by the national regulator, ASQA. The application process is a rigorous process that all RTOs must go through prior to receiving course approval. I’m not sure what you are referring to regarding the copy/paste errors in the assessment materials however I would be happy to investigate these claims for our own continuous improvement efforts. Your feedback as a student is also valuable. The administration team will email you a learner questionnaire, please provide your constructive feedback here for us. I can also see that you are near the end of your course and you will receive your results shortly. I will end on this note, everyone is entitled to an opinion and you are welcome to share yours however based on your ability to achieve competency in most of the units so far, this indicates to me that you comprehended the assessment materials and successfully applied your knowledge throughout the course. TAE Course - OK if your good with computers and paperwork
The course was fairly straightforward, I completed it in two attempts. I was expecting to need all three attempts they offer as it was completed online. I wasn't certain on some questions the first time around. So overall, quite happy with the result.
Some of the content was fairly involved, particularly as some assessment was easiest to perform if you were already working in the field.

rlier and work harder at the start knowing the slow turn around times. I didn't call them once and only had one question answered by email. The documentation was straight forward and clear. Overall, it was a good training provided as long as you know what your getting into with online courses and have the skills to do it online and with little communication with people. If your prepared for online training and its associated challenges, it is fantastic value for money.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Good Course Material
I enrolled and completed my tae with first choice training and they had great course material which was easy to follow. the only issue I had was my assigned trainer left the company midway through and it I had to adjust to the new trainer. But the new trainer was better than the old one so that was okay.

Easy Course Material
Was actually on this site to review another product, but having just finished my course with First Choice Training thought I'd have a quick look and see. I'll address the review below mine - no idea what Danny is talking about. The course material for the TAE course is extremely easy to follow and before now I had only finished year 11. Would highly recommend First Choice for your course needs, the TAE was great

Terrible learning material and terrible instructions.
I enrolled into the TAE course and managed to download all the learning and assessment material which was quiete confusing initially to acquire. I read the entire "learning material" document and then attempted to do the workbooks for each of the units. Some questions/tasks are just too confusing to do and there is no adequate instructions or resources on how to accomplish them. The course is just too difficult to complete due to lack of instructions. My brother did his TAE at TAFE and said it was a breeze compared to this joke. They should not be offering this course, despite the low $199 fee (on special when I enrolled). Anyone rating this course 5 stars is probably paid or a bot.
