    Great Fridges

    published

Fisher and Paykel have the best appliances including fridges. Always very reliable. We have a really old one in the shed and a newer model in the house. Nothing ever seems to go wrong with any of our F&P appliances. Really happy with it and would definitely recommend to anyone in the market

    Nice lookin fridge

    published

I bought this fridge for my family after owning a 330 litre top mount for years. I was very limited on the size of the fridge I could buy for the area that I had. I ended up deciding on this one because it was the biggest that I could squeeze into the area of the kitchen. There were a couple of other designs in this model but I decided to buy this one for it's looks. The doors and handles are square and look very modern.
Huge internal size, clean lines exterior, great looking fridge, bottom mount makes accessing the fridge very easy.
Only one issue with this fridge - noise. My 15 year old Westinghouse was much quieter than this one. The motor makes quite a noise but I can live with it.

    Terrible

Pros - there really are none - apart from it looks good
Cons - terrible - leaks from the bottom - had service calls and apparantly was either due to temperature; or the plastic thing on top of the drawers (most fiddly) not being fitted properly - still leaks all the time - makes horrible noise often from freezer part
Overall - would never buy F&P again

This is my first 'family' fridge, I had a small Westinghouse before and that did not keep the food fresh. This F&P keeps my fruit and veges fresh for weeks - I had mushrooms loose in a paper bag for 2 weeks and they were still edible, same with a packet of lettuce - I was lucky to get 4 days in the old fridge.
It looks good. It keeps the food really fresh. It's quiet and functional. Easy to clean and Iridium finish is great
I don't dislike anything but the fridge door opens to a wall so you can only open 90deg, makes it hard to get into the fruit and vege trays because you have to slide the tray out - only the smaller one close to the door is a huge issue.

519L Bottom Mount E522BRMFD (Iridium, Right Door)

I am looking for a refidgerator with french doors on top and freezer in the bottom. I have to have stainless on the front and the sides. Does this fridge have that?

no it doesnt, you should look at either the RF522ADX4 or the RF522ADUSX4

The ADUSX4 has a water dispensor in the door and ice maker in the freezer as well as soft close hinges.

These are the same size (790mm wide) as the E522 above, but if you want something bigger there are RF610 versions of the above prodcts which are 900mm wide

I agree. This fridge doesn't have french doors, but they do have a new version which does and is the same size. I would have bought it instead of this one if it was available a couple of years ago. Great fridge though - just a big noisy as fridges can be. The reason I would have went with the french doors is to minimise the space required when you open the door - with a full door you need more room than with a half door.
