Purchased our F/P French Door Fridge/Freezer in 2007. Now display / temp adjustment panel is on the exterior of RH door. We seem to have alarms going off at different times with different pitches, its becoming quiet annoying. All the instruction manuals talk about the internal control panel to which we aint got. does anyone have an idea how to reset the panel?
So my fridge freezer has been making ice. Used a lot and was clumped at bottom. I took tray out and emptied it. Since I put it back in, it’s not made any ice. What should i do to correct this?
My fridge has not performed like this - I suggest calling Fisher & Paykel customer support. Good luck
I Have a RF610A fridge and I found and fixed the broke wire causing the error F31 coming up on the display, but how do I turn of the error code and spanner?
Hi Carl D. I have the same error F31 and would appreciate knowing which wire you fixed that was broken. Regards Ian email "[email protected]"
Go to Vimeo and look up the diagnostic screen information, there is a video covering this..
Where is the water filter cartridge located. I cannot see it from the back when I have moved the unit away from the wall. I removed the plastic cover where the water hose is connected and it does not appear to be there. Just where exactly is it located???
The water cartridge is separate to the machine, trace the water hose from fridge to outlet - no filter means one was not fitted.
what power current (amps) does the RF610ADX4 consume? It's on the serial number label I understand, but not in the manual. Does it connect to a normal 13 amp 3 pin UK socket? Our electrician is asking for power consumptions for first fix purposes.
about 1.2 - 1.8kW per day, depending on ambient temperature, number of times/ how long/ which door(s) are opened.
running approx .5A, starting 6- 10A, heater 1.2A
thanks. It would be good to see a picture of a serial label (with the serial number redacted), if anyone can send this.
Serial label, on rhs of kick panel, would not provide that information.
Our. Rand new fisher Parker fridge water dispenser has suddenly stopped working. Model RF170ADUSX4. I've checked hose is not linked behind. Pulled plug and restarted. Pressed for several minutes. Any other suggestions?
Hi Sharon
I've had this happen a few times over the years. I believe the culprit is having the freezer/fridge temperature set too cool and the line to the water dispenser actually freezes, so no water. I figured this out by slowly raising the temperatures up and eventually it started working again. The quicker solution would be to simply clean out the fridge if you have that handy second "beer" fridge somewhere in the house and unplug the fridge and leave it for four or five hours, than restart. Remember to observe your fridge and freezer settings so they are set higher, although I believe the fridge likely restarts with default settings.
Also, this is the solution for when you find water pooling under your fridge as well. Not sure why this solved the problem but it did.
I am also currently tackling why the ice cube maker every so often prematurely just dumps water into the ice cube container and causing a large ice cube to form in the base of the container. I initially unplugged the fridge and restarted it hoping it was a cycle problem in the software and this appeared to work for a few weeks but it's started again. I've taken the whole thing apart previously and will do so again to see if the temperature probe might be loose, maybe I can do this without taking it all apart. hmmm.
I believe there is a fill kit for this fridge, it has a heater which prevents the water freezing - not sure.
Water under the fridge is blocked drain pipe ( located under the evaporator) in freezer. Turning off til the ice 'plug' in drain melts and it works again.
fisher and paykel icemaker has stopped working after water was turned off for 2 weeks. Is there something I need to do as we generally turn water off when we go away?
The display on my F&P has stopped working, everything else with the fridge is working well. Any idea what to do? The fridge is not in sabbath mode.
Hi there. Thank you for your question. I've had this happen once before, 3 weeks after purchase. There was nothing obviously wrong with the unit itself. I reset the fridges circuitry by disconnecting from power supply for 3-5mins. Then re activate. I did the trick for me and hasn't reoccurred since.
Either the display is faulty or there is a broken wire on top of door hinge.
F&P tech can determine and repair.
Display not working will not stop fridge, but you cannot change any controls.
Yeah, I have the same issue, I am going to disassemble the display from the front door to check for anything obvious. We did have the icemaker causing an error at the time, so I think the display didnt like going into sabbath mode so often to mask that error code.
OK, after 20 minutes looking at this the display is now back. I removed the display from the door (push up on the plastic tabs one at time to remove it), and could not see any visible issues with the interface cables, or any signs of component failure on the circuit board, reseated both connectorss anyway then put it back together, still no display.. Removed the top hinge cover and checked the terminations of the wires up there, the far left orange cable had deteriorated to the point of falling out of its blade terminal. So I have carefully pressed that against the termination point until it reseated, and the display is now back. I guess it makes sense that the terminals with mechanical pressure are most likely to fail first - we shall see how this fix weathers, certainly cheaper and less drama than pulling a new wiring harness through there.
BTW - The socket used as a termination point on the top hinge pivot is an absolute pain, and looks proprietary, be careful not to break that if you need to pull it out of its housing, and watch out for the water pipes.
Hi My fisher and Pykel fridge freezer has just recently started to dip when i open the door. It has done it 3 times in the last 4 days and displays an F20 number on the display panel. Does anyone know what it could be please? Not sure of the model number as I cannot find it. But is is the one with the fridge at the top freezer at the bottom with water and ice. The largest one. Thank you
The door heater is faulty, it should also beep 20 times when the door is opened.
An F&P tech can repair it.
I have the 519L Active Smart fridge RF522WDRUX5 which was purchased new 4 months ago. Initially the ice and water worked, though now both the ice and water do not work. No water comes from the dispenser and no ice is being made.
Is this a common problem and how could I fix it?
The fridge is brand new so this is pretty frustrating.
It's covered by Warranty!

Hi. I have just purchased a RF610ADW5 French door fridge and I wondered if it is normal for a light to be flashing intermittently at the back of unit. Also what temps should the fridge and freezer be at to operate properly? Thank you
Hi - I have no idea about the flasing light at tbe back. Check your manual. You can easily set your fridge and freezer to whatever temperature suits you.
