When I wash sheets, 1 fitted, 2 flat sheets and 4 pillow cases, they are never rinsed clean? They always have what looks like dry patches and also scattered marks that look like dry fluff. I used to get this in my maytag machine if it was overloaded. My machine has always done this since new. I purchased my machine in October this year. Thanks Helen

Hello, I have had no problems for the last 3 years until now. Every wash I load, whether its a small or large load of clothes, my machine will stop early in the wash cycle with error TOO FULL. It will beep at me and stop. Even if I remove clothes and re-distribute them upon resuming it fills up and stops again with TOO FULL error. All I can do is Rinse and Spin to get it to empty and finish (It does not finish the Wash Cycle. The Water level is set to Auto and seams to be fine as a small load has less water covering the clothes. Any suggestions?
Thanks

If it is still under warranty I would have someone come and look at it from Fisher and Paykel.

Fisher and Paykel said it was out of warranty, but they would not speculate what is wrong or how much it would cost to repair

Hello
Can someone please tell me how to open my washsmart machine to inspect the suspension rods and replace them if necessary? TIA

inspecting suspension won't determine if they are faulty or not.
Does machine make banging noise whan in spin cycle.
To access suspension. 2 people strongly recommended.
Tape lid down, undo inlet hoses.
Undo 4 screws along back of machine.
Lift top at back of machine and slide forward.
Unclip front and raise top

hi my 10kg Washsmart won't allow me to do a hot wash? It firstly fills up with hot and then changes to cold? Any help?

I have this model and it will only fill with warm or hot water on the “Allergy” setting. Be careful of leaving it on this “Allergy” setting as a full wash cycle because the agitation time in detergent is very short and won’t wash properly for soiled laundry, also it does 2 rinse cycles and this wastes water. How I use it for day-to-day warm or hot water laundry is... initially set it on allergy, select water level, select warm for wash and select “Soak” option (not “Eco). Then after it has filled with warm water I go back to machine (because it is on soak it won’t go any further on cycle until 2 hours has passed, but I do set a timer for 10-15 minutes to remind me to return to machine), turn off, then on, and select cycle to regular or heavy duty and it can finish on that cycle. Hope that helps you get your warm and hot washes. My previous F&P filled with warm on any cycle and washed brilliantly, this model washes well but I am so sick of restarting cycles just to do a warm load and wasn’t aware of this feature when I purchased the machine.

We have been using this model for the last 12 months and we have no issues with it. But recently when it goes into the spin cycle on the normal or quick programs, it is very noisy.. previously you can't even hear when it goes into the spin cycle. Is there something wrong with it? or should we call for a technician to sort this program out. Thanks and appreciate any advice on this issue.

Washing machine filled with hot water by itself then flooded laundry when no one was in unit for one week. Entire unit is steamed up and water would not pump from machine. Manually bailed... Any ideas what would cause the machine to fill without anyone there?

I have a Fisher & Paykel 10kg top loading wash smart machine. I’ve had it 4 months and can count on one hand the times it has actually done a load of washing without it stopping at 46 mins Beeping and flashing lid loc, I lift the lid and close it and press start and whilst it reverts back to 50 mins it goes fine until the same thing happens again at 29 mins once again beeping and flashing lid loc until I again lift the lid and close it. Please advise?

This model has an inherent fault. I have had the same issue with mine. I purchased one a week ago and had to have it swapped for the same model only for the new machine to have the exact same issue. The machine is being returned today and I am replacing it with a LG 10 kg model. Never again will I touch F&P !

If you have just purchased the machine I would go back to place of purchase and request their help. If machine is not new, I think you definitely need a service man to look at your machine. Good luck!!

Can someone tell me if it is normal on this machine for the cycle to revert to the beginning when you use the pause (say to add something or rebalance)? a nuisance when the wash cycle is complete but goes out of balance and goes to beginning of the wash again when you rebalance it. I have relatives I visited in Aus and they have the identical machine which does not revert back to the beginning.

1 answer
Shels

It will revert to beginning of wash cycle when you press pause at any time during the phase it is agitating with detergent. If you press pause at any time during rinse cycle, including to fix out of balance, it will revert back to the start of the rinse cycle. If you press pause during spin stage, including to fix out of blalance, it will revert back to start of spin phase.

Hi I have bought suspension rods to change them myself but I can not find any instructions except for the Aquasmart.
I get the lid off and then the cover of different so I have no idea how to remove it so I can access the suspension rods.
If anyone knows of any instructions can you please help me out. We can not afford to get it done by someone as my husband isn't working atm.
Greatly appreciate any help thanks

It's not a difficult job with a little knowledge. Aquasmart rods are different design to all others and have the silicone strap but fitting technique is identical on all other models. I don't know that there are instructions to explain how to remove/replace them but I could possibly talk you through it. Where are you located?

sorry just wondering if you could post some instructions on how to change the rods, andin particular how to remove the panels from this machine - I can't seem to find any instructions anywhere!

You need suspension rods and bands.
Parts are about $120, and you need to know how to fit them correctly.
Get them fitted and machine will be like new for next 3 - 5 years.
They are a consumable part on most modern washers.

Streaks9

Is there any instructions on how to do them yourself? I have instructions for the Aqua smart but the cover removal is different and I have no idea where it needs to be taken off from etc. The rest is easy to replace just need to know how to remove it. Lid already off and ready to go to the next step!

Hi our washing machine starts it cycle starts filling with water for about 2 minutes then skips from 48 minutes to 31 minutes for couple of seconds then to 11 minutes does it drain and spins until the end of cycle? and that's it. There are no fault codes on machine.

willea3015
willea3015

hi

have you moved your machine or adjusted the draining hose. the drain pipe has to be level with the outlet on the machine then it can dip down into a drain. if its on any slant the machine fills then drains straight out without going thru the cycle.
