Well this reminds me of using my mothers twin tub. Having been using your brand for over 30 years this unit destroys fabrics and towels. Without the agitator the cloths come out tangled into a ball and throws the machine off balance with every wash no matter how I put the cloths in. I am using more detergent as the cloths are not coming out clean as with my old 8kg machine.
You are set with the programming in many cases preventing changing water levels etc, yes you can use the bulk program but still not allowing me to change to suit the load.
I am about to get my old machine repaired and replace this new machine.
Very dissatisfied.

The F&P cleansmart 10 kg is my 4th Fisher & Paykel top loader . I am not happy with it . Because of the low water use towels are poorly rinsed hence hard and crunchy . Even with fabric softener . I did have my husband add buckets of water to increase the water level . Now I just return to laundry after fill and fill double . We do not have many very dirty clothes . Though I did need to rewash and hand scrub the knees of my husband gardening jeans . I can NEVER remember having to do that . Sheets become tangled in knots . I am currently sittin...
Read moreg in the laundry in my wheelchair to rebalance after returning 3 times to do so . The display board does not indicate were the machine is in the cycle . You can not skip forward or shorten the cycle if you wish . No totally cold wash . Clothes come out very wrinkled . Annoying because I can not iron . Though I found I can turn off the hot tap to achieve this ! On a $1300 washing machine !!!! You can not leave a soaking load over night then top up and finish at breakfast . It will pump out on its own . Though I have found I can cut the power to stop this . If you want a set and forget machine . FORGET this machine . I wish I had purchased an central agitator style less costly than this machine . I sincerely hope this one doesn’t last as long as my last top loader 15 years .Purchased in .

Leaves lint all over clothes, leaks and doesnt spin on anything but lowest setting
This machine has a lifespan of about 3 years, after that it leaks, and doesnt spin on anything other than lowest setting. Apart from this, from new, there were problems, the machine has no removable filter so no matter what you wash it will have lint on it, Even the highest setting of water doesnt soak the material sufficiently as its still 10cms below the clothes level. You have to put an additional rinse time of 33 mins to actually get your clothes clean, so claims of water and energy efficiency are woefully incorrect.
Bad buy

Bought this machine 5 mth's ago. My sheets were coming out with dry patches. Tried every cycle then called the technician as I'm having to add 20L's+ water to the load manually. Tech says nothing wrong with it though he manually delved his arm in to move the washing around-antiquated! Don't buy it as the pulsating mechanism can't move 8kgs around let alone 10kg as supposed to.
Well......10hrs after posting this I got an email from F&P offering to refund it. Now to get a machine that washes.

Terrible this machine always is out of balance no matter the adjustments I have tried to make. DO not buy, bought Harvey Normans. It will drive you insane, 90 min wash takes 2-3 hours, normally in end hang the washing up wet with water without the final spin. Frustrating to say the least.

There is no selectable water level other than auto I guess for the weight. Should have stayed with the old model. The load has to be stacked around the sides as though there is an invisible agitator. Then blankets and sheets still get wrapped up in a ball across the top. Not enough water is the main issue on cold wash.

Doesn't have a manual fill so there is not enough water to cover when washing things such as pillows & bulky items. Everything that comes out has to be ironed & I haven't had to iron for years with very good reason! I have to choose the Easy Iron option every time but things still come out creased & very wet as well. I washed a dog bed today which I do every week, but when I opened the lid the stuffing was all over the machine & bed needed to be put into the rubbish. This was a new bed so should not have disintegrated like it did for at leas...
Read moret another 6 - 12 months. Don't get me started on lint or having to dissolve the was powder first. Knowing how great a previous F&P washing machine was and that this product was given a 5 star rating by a reputable reviewing service, I am shocked at how bad it is & can not see myself spending the next 10 years putting up with it :(Find out how Fisher & Paykel CleanSmart WL1068P1 (10kg) compares to other Top Loading Washing Machines

I bought this machine about a year ago and have had problems ever since. I have always been a F&P fan but this machine is a lemon. It leaves lint on the clothes, it leaves holes in our t-shirts and tops and generally does not wash well. I have had it serviced and had the drum replaced twice (the second time was because the technician dented the new one) but this has made no difference. It is very quiet and I love the delay start feature but will never recommend this machine to anyone and won't buy F&P again. Very disappointing.
This is the worst washing machine I have ever used. I have had Fisher & Paykel washing machines for the last 30 years and have never had one that left so much lint all over the clothes. At first I thought it was undisolved washing powder, I was following the instructions and only using HE powder. So, I switched to HE liquid, it was then I realised that in fact it was lint that was being left all over the clothes. Every load of was has to have the regular wash cycle and then go back on for a 40 minute ( or thereabouts) rinse cycle to get rid...
Read more of some, not all mind you, just some of the lint. If Fisher & Paykel are moniting these reviews I would be delighted to hear from them regarding this. This was an expensive washing machine and I am about to kick it to the curb and get the Samsung, Very quiet, lovely big capacity bowl Lint everywhere over the clothesQuestions & Answers
The motor for the washing machine is it ac or dc
I believe F/P motors are brushless DC. Not totally sure. Suggest you direct that to Fisher Paykel or google it.
