30 years of using fisher and paykel

published

Well this reminds me of using my mothers twin tub. Having been using your brand for over 30 years this unit destroys fabrics and towels. Without the agitator the cloths come out tangled into a ball and throws the machine off balance with every wash no matter how I put the cloths in. I am using more detergent as the cloths are not coming out clean as with my old 8kg machine.
You are set with the programming in many cases preventing changing water levels etc, yes you can use the bulk program but still not allowing me to change to suit the load.
I am about to get my old machine repaired and replace this new machine.
Very dissatisfied.

Don’t waste your money

Had it 14 months, been repaired 3 times and this time motherboard has gone. Been 5weeks and still not repaired 4 of 5 year Warranty still left. They finally are replacing it. So annoying and inconvenient.

Purchased in at Harvey Norman for $1,509.

Leaves lint all over clothes, leaks and doesnt spin on anything but lowest setting

published

This machine has a lifespan of about 3 years, after that it leaks, and doesnt spin on anything other than lowest setting. Apart from this, from new, there were problems, the machine has no removable filter so no matter what you wash it will have lint on it, Even the highest setting of water doesnt soak the material sufficiently as its still 10cms below the clothes level. You have to put an additional rinse time of 33 mins to actually get your clothes clean, so claims of water and energy efficiency are woefully incorrect.
Bad buy

Simply just does not wash

published

Bought this machine 5 mth's ago. My sheets were coming out with dry patches. Tried every cycle then called the technician as I'm having to add 20L's+ water to the load manually. Tech says nothing wrong with it though he manually delved his arm in to move the washing around-antiquated! Don't buy it as the pulsating mechanism can't move 8kgs around let alone 10kg as supposed to.
Well......10hrs after posting this I got an email from F&P offering to refund it. Now to get a machine that washes.

Out of balance

published

Terrible this machine always is out of balance no matter the adjustments I have tried to make. DO not buy, bought Harvey Normans. It will drive you insane, 90 min wash takes 2-3 hours, normally in end hang the washing up wet with water without the final spin. Frustrating to say the least.

10kg no agitator. Sadly lack lustre performance.

published

There is no selectable water level other than auto I guess for the weight. Should have stayed with the old model. The load has to be stacked around the sides as though there is an invisible agitator. Then blankets and sheets still get wrapped up in a ball across the top. Not enough water is the main issue on cold wash.

Very disappointed

published

I bought this machine about a year ago and have had problems ever since. I have always been a F&P fan but this machine is a lemon. It leaves lint on the clothes, it leaves holes in our t-shirts and tops and generally does not wash well. I have had it serviced and had the drum replaced twice (the second time was because the technician dented the new one) but this has made no difference. It is very quiet and I love the delay start feature but will never recommend this machine to anyone and won't buy F&P again. Very disappointing.

I believe F/P motors are brushless DC. Not totally sure. Suggest you direct that to Fisher Paykel or google it.
