Did not turn up
Just read Go catch bad reviews and am really not surprised. We arrived at Perth Airport 3rd February 2020 on a British Airways holiday. Part of the holiday was with a prepaid taxi transfer by Go catch to our hotel. When we came out into arrivals we could not see our name displayed by our driver. 2 yellow jacket lady helpers and another guy helped us to look for our driver for half an hour but no sign. Had to take another taxi. Phoned Go catch on arrival at hotel but insisted that drive turned up. Also they don’t work after ours or Sunday. Useless. Never use again. British Airways also have a lot to answer for.

Useless
As a driver a have all sorts or problems, you try to contact them it will take more then week to reply you, I’m a driver and I do not wish to be associated with such a company, I’m so glad I drive for Uber

After a tiring 13 hour flight we expected our taxi to be at pre booked taxi point. We waited over an hour in a biting cold wind and no taxi appeared. After phoning was told by receptionist that we were a 'no show'. Also we would be charged again if she sent another one. Avoid this place at all costs.

What a disappointment ! What a letdown!!!!
I flew to Sydney in October( with my daughter) for the Edinburgh Military Tattoo and had everything booked and paid for well in advance. We had allowed plenty of extra time for everything to make sure we were not late getting to the ANZ Stadium. Our transfer from our hotel was booked for 5.30pm but it was 6.45pm when our driver got to the hotel. t ANZ Stadium before 7.30pm for the start of the show. When we got there roads around the stadium were closed so Alan had to drop us off as close as he could get but it was a huge task for us to walk the last section. I am 83 years old and unable to move very well so by the time we got to the gate the show had started. I was so distressed that I had to be taken to our seats in a wheelchair. Our driver (Alan) was very concerned but could not do anything else for us. After the show he was close by and we were able to call him to pick us up for the drive back to our hotel. He did a great job under the circumstances. Your company caused a lot of upset for our plans to be early (as planned) and I could not recommend you for any special bookings.Similar opinion? Take money from account for no service
Gocatch model of taking money immediately that you book them when no car is available they ask you to cancel the trip. This is in breach of Australian consumer law. When you ask for immediate refund they sayt the bank will take 10 days to refund. It is theft and take my advice, delete the app and never use Gocatch. Ever.

Shocking! Would do 0 stars if I could
Up In booking they charged me a holding fee of $90 to secure my ride to the airport (without asking my permission or giving me a price prior). After the trip was completed they charged me an extra $57 for the trip itself. They took 10 days to reimburse me for the $90 holding fee that they didn't warn me about until after it was paid which I was then unable to use on my holiday which was a duration of 7 days. I will Absolutely never use this again and suggest no one else does either. Would give it 0 stars if I could

Upon checking, your card has only actually been charged for the trip you completed. GoCatch’s recent app update includes a security verification done prior to your trip to ensure funds are available to pay for a journey. This transaction is called an uncaptured hold and is immediately released once the trip is done. We communicate the cancelation / refund as soon as the job is completed or cancelled, but we've found that some banks take as long as 5-10 business days to reflect this in their customer statements and available balance. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this has caused you, but this is completely out of our hands. You may, however, contact your funding source, card or bank account, and ask them to release the funds back to your account. Awful beware of vouchers!
Received a free “$100” voucher from p and O cruises and decided to use it. Firstly had to put in details of bank account and when we booked the journey go-catch debited me $130! It has been over a week and have returned from our cruise and the money still hasn’t been returned to me.
We’ve Contacted the company and they state it can take 5-10 business days to return the fund to your account. When you book a fare it takes the “estimated fare” even if you use a voucher. The actual fare was $75 (in a maxi taxi on the way home) so they debited me almost twice what the fare was worth on top of the fact they didn’t use the voucher as promised. When you book a fare it doesn’t say anywhere how much money they will debit either... awful never again.

Can I give negative stars?
Our travel agent booked them for us. Driver was to meet us outside of baggage claim at Sydney airport with a sign with our name on it at 10:30. First driver was not there, we called him - he barely spoke English and didn't know where the airport was! We were back and forth with him several times, finally gave up and asked them to send a 2nd driver. Next driver was prompt, polite, spoke English and could not handle my wife's power chair! Somebody in their office dropped the ball. Meanwhile 1st driver is calling wanting to know why we canceled on him! Totally unprofessional. We ended up using local taxi and didn't have to wait at all.
In the end goCatch cost us over an hour of time. I'd walk before calling them.

Got my money back
Got charged twice. The did refund me one amount tho after numerous emails. Driver is being investigated for the way he asked me for the payment. Not just from the app

Don’t get ripped off by these crooks!
Go catch is so dodgy.
They are overpriced, unethical and sneaky.
They take money from your account before you even have a booking confirmed, usually a lot more than a fair would cost you.
And their drivers tell you that they only accept cash payments so you get charged twice!
Don’t be fooled by their coupons, they never get applied to the trips anyway!!

Used Go Catch for my 6 days business trip in Nov 18. Out of the 8 trips I took using Go Catch, one trip charged me twice. Sent in a duplicate charge request and was lucky to receive a reply one day later and charges was returned. Sent in another request for this unauthorized charges and received a reply by GoCatch of this “forgotten charges” by the driver which I replied that I totally disagreed but too bad, that the end of reply from GoCatch, they just totally ignored me. Don’t every become a GoCatch driver
There is no driver assistance. You can contact them. They will contact if they have solve your issues. They charge driver even if you haven't done any job. Secondly they don’t have any fix percentages of job how much they charge the driver whatever they think. They are rip off don’t trust them.

Charged for a Toll we didn't incur!
Used GoCatch (taxi) to get to the Bris cruise port at Hamilton. We via the Inner City Bypass and never used any toll road nor a toll bridge OR a toll tunnel, we were charged a toll fee anyway. Made a complaint to GoCatch about the incorrect toll charge and received a reply that they would look into it. Heard zip from them since! A bunch of crooks - My credit card was debited before I had a chance to review the charge and now have to wear that incorrect charge. They are no better that the Cab Conpanies they represent! Will not be using them again.

Extremely bad, waste of time.
Well I searched Google for the best taxi app in Melbourne, so the fist link was showing this app as the first one before uber so I installed it and when I needed a cab I tried it, I had to wait for like 5 minutes every time I tried to make a request than the result is always there is no cabs in your area while in uber there had like 5 or 6 every time and the far that cost 8$ in uber, it costs between 12 and 16$ in this app.

Never arrived..I missed seeing my wife before surgery
Driver never arrived. There was no attempt to fix the problem for me. Took multiple attempts to get through on the phone and the responder showed a total lack of caring.

Why you guys using go catch or Uber??? Just to save money... isn’t it ???? Every taxi company has apps, can be ordered by apps or phone and they always come for me... what’s wrong with you guys...uber and go catch getting rich but drivers just begging ... after 10 trips they can make 50$... still paying tax gst and petrol..

I personally use UBER not because they're saints. UBER is a disgusting company. They are so shady it's unbelievable. Screw UBER! Then I tried taxi and decided to stick with lesser of two evils. Even sharing roads as a driver with taxis is a major pain. It is astonishing how someone can be so terrible at driving when it is his entire job. I feel zero sympathy that taxi industry is suffering. I hope that answers your question.

Uber good for customers because they are cheap and driver could be sexy for the rider or may be the car... different ways of speaking with driver...
But I focused Uber ripping of the drivers. From $100 Uber takes 27.50 from driver and from the rest driver pays 10% tax, 10% GST + Petrol + maintenance of car + cars Millage So A driver can make 40 to 45$ from 100$..
How good is this???? Very bad and some illiterate drivers didn’t know calculations just driving..
So I’m not going help a company who is getting rich after ripping off people as civilian. That’s all .

For taxi you'll have to pull out cash or card however, im not sure about when an actual uber type lift gets you. I have not used the application for sometime now but I remember the difficulty, maybe it's fixed by now I'll never know but I'd suggest uber as it is much more of a simple process. Then again if you are a new user to goCatch, you could google up a discount coupon on your first ride but be very aware of what you're pressing. :) also goCatch doesn't really want you sharing coupons so you'd find most "not working at the moment"
When you first register you must supply your card details. At the end of each trip the fare is automatically deducted from the card.
