Took my payment ignored my emails to extend voucher now ignoring me
I purchased a photo book for $28.95 and wanted to extend the voucher as is my right as stipulated by groupon Terms and conditions .They ignored all emails until it had expired and now refuse to do anything or refund my payment as per australian consumer law. This is the 2nd time they have done this and this is absolutely unacceptable and theft of my money dor no reason

Misleading
Beware when buying coupons. On three occasions, I have bought coupons for restaurants to use for weekend dinners, only to be later informed that the restaurant has changed it's conditions of use and no longer allows weekend dining, or is completely booked up for months ahead, rendering the coupon unusable for the intended purchase. The last time this happened, I had to threaten to go to Trade Practises before Groupon would refund me. I recommend you check availability before you make a purchase and book in your reservation quickly, as if you leave it a couple of weeks, you're more likely to experience issues.

Do not buy the product!
Avoid buying Groupon.!!!! I bought a a credit dining voucher for Deck Cafe we drive there twice it was closed! and later i found out that they were selling voucher even when the restaurant was already closed!!!! how unfair! then I requested for a refund and chose credits as a refund and used some of it and checked it next time the credit was gone! they do not have any reminder whatsoever that the credits are expiring! they just took my money without any advise! Please please don’t buy Groupon!

Incompetent and unhelpful
Unscrupulous service providers that these people are associated with pass their costs to customers to recover commission charged by Groupon. This is in reference to KT Mechanical Crash repairs.
The 1st customer support officer talked about refunding the difference but instead refunded the whole voucher. The 2nd officer told me to buy the voucher again and upload the proof of overcharge to get a refund. The 3rd said they will escalate this issue. Incorrect item supplied, no customer support
I ordered a pair of rayban sunglasses through groupon in early February, these were delivered 17/02/20. Upon inspecting these sunglasses they were not what was displayed in the image and what I believed I ordered. I have contacted groupon over a dozen times, both on the phone and through email and chat. I have been promised a return label to post these back (over 2 weeks ago) and have been advised each day that I will have some feedback which has not been received. I have continually asked to speak to a supervisor but have been advised that there is no-one available. I can now not get get through on the phone over the past few days, and my emails go unanswered. This has been going on for over 4 weeks.

Need to work on customer support and email frequency
I recently signed up to Groupon after receiving a voucher as a gift. When I have trouble claiming a voucher, the support team were unhelpful and seemed more focused on closing the log than helping me.
I also received 5 Marketing emails from them today. They’ve just bombarded me with emails, so I’ve unsubscribed within a day. Way too many emails.

Merchant repeatedly changing blackout dates at whim, unresponsive, restricted appointments, and lacking standard tools.
I purchased two Groupons for beauty treatments last December. It was near impossible to get an appointment with the vendor - she kept changing the blackout dates and then refusing to give me any appointments within her "new" blackout dates, she refused to book appointments two weeks in advance, she only offered appointments within specific times and she did not ever have the appropriate tools to perform the service.

Poor Customer service - Void Voucher
I bought a voucher through Groupon and did a booking but unfortunately I have to cancel the booking as I got stuck with some work. I did try doing the cancellation online and believed that I have cancelled the booking. But for some reason the cancellation didn't work and when I tried re-booking later, it didn't allow me. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
Groupon does not comply with National laws preventing the sale of vouchers with expiry dates less than 3 years.
We bought 3 vouchers that only had a 3 month expiry. When we contacted Groupon (which had to be via email as they do not just phone numbers anywhere) to get an extension, they just told us too bad you agreed to the terms by purchasing.
What a terrible experience and poor customer service!
We will never again purchase from Groupon or its subsidiaries!

Worst coupon company imaginable - do not expect any after sales service!
Once you purchase a voucher from them, do not expect any help with accessing it or amended it. Once they have your money they don’t want anything more to do with you. Never buy groupon, they are terrible!

Terrible service selling vouchers for places that are awful to begin with
Unless you bought the voucher yourself, you can't do anything with the voucher when it comes to making claims. That means you have to go to the person who gifted you, tell them it was awful and you didn't get what you paid for and please can they get a refund.

Groupon has now offered me a resolution which I am happy about it.
My advice to others If you are not sure you will come for the dinner booking, better make a booking with different platforms or websites.
No show on the booking will forfeit the voucher which I don't think is fair considering the voucher worth is around $50.

False and misleading information
We were given a voucher for Nels restaurant for a christmas present with expiry date of 18 April. When we tried to book at table on 10 April we were told by the restaurant the offer is only up to 3 April Despite Expiry Date On Voucher, restaurant blamed Groupon, we contacted Groupon and they blamed the restaurant. Very poor customer service. Groupon offered us credits. No, we want to use our voucher which was a special present from daughter. I believe it is illegal to do this and false and misleading information. We are taking this matter further.

Thanks for my refund
Well i purchased 2 vouchers worth 332 dollars each. It was the same voucher which was a mistake by me. After a week of talking to several diffrent people. All my funds were retuned. The only thing i would recomend to scoopon is that the first person you deal with should follow through. Make life easy for us and you. Other wise thanks for my refund as this was my mistake not yours.

It would have rather contacted Groupon Australia to resolve this issue, but as the site just gives you the runaround (literally) and makes it very difficult to contact them.. this review. I purchased 2 items during this pandemic and assumed items purchased would be coming from Australia. Within reason, the first order took approximately 2 days to be ‘acknowledged’ and shipping details forwarded on to me. This product is shipping from and within Australia. The 2nd product, which I am not impressed with, whatsoever, took 9 days to be ‘acknowledged’ and is shipping from somewhere in China. This is the first problem. Second, the shipping details are in Chinese. This should be consider especially since I purchased the items from a supposedly Australian site. Third, and most importantly, I am unable to contact Groupon Australia with my concerns. Basic runaround searching within (logged in) website. ‘Contact Us’ feature not working? or never has. Not so impressed with Groupon Australia. I will not be using this site again.

Reading repeated claims of Groupon failing to issue refunds here and elsewhere, I ask what is Groupon's official stance? According to one post, Groupon are not honouring their own terms.
Reading Groupon replies such as "... we are sorry for any inconvenience this might have caused. Can you please email us at xxxxxxx explaining the issue so that we can be in touch?" gives me no confidence in trading with Groupon.
I don't always believe everything I read... so... what's Groupon's version of events?
As it stands, I have more faith in other sites.

Same problem with Groupon _ no refund for goods/services not supplied. Have registered my complaint both with NSW Fair Trading and the ACCC. Easy on line form to fill out on both sites. Suggest you do the same. No charge involved for this.
