Worst vac ever
Don't waste your money. Continually tips over, the filter falls out on one of the wheels every time I use it, and the head section either falls out while you're using it, or it's so tight you can't separate it to put it away. Worst vacuum I've ever had.
Purchased at Godfreys for $159.00.

Pocket rocket!
My mum has owned Hoover vacuum cleaners for decades.. Couldn't beat them.
With that philosophy in mind, I knew what I wanted for my apartment.
For the price, this little pocket rocket is amazing. It's bagless, compact, has a sturdy, powerful motor (at times too powerful - it will suck small items unnecessarily if not careful) that won't overheat after 15 mins use, and comes with some attachments. At around $180, it was superb value for money. Highly recommended for at least a one bedroom apartment.

A cute little all-rounder vacuum cleaner
It's not a Dyson or a super powered suction machine, but my little Hoover all rounder from Godfreys does me nicely. Light and easy to move round, simple to empty and clean,I love it. It is usually used in two rooms only. My only issue is the occasional item that too easily clogs the tube, but that is not a frequent occurrence and easy to fix. I hadn't realised until now that the 2 years have just passed (out of warranty) but that Hoover 5011 All-Rounder Bagless Vacuum keeps on going.

Great little bag-less vacuum that has continued to work great for 6 months so far. Just remember to empty and clean all filters after or before each use as with any Vacuum. Great for the cost, especially if you grab one on sale. Would not recommend for heavy duty cleaning.

Well built and good suction
This vacuum cleaner has good suction, but it obviously doesn't compete with higher end vacuum cleaners. It's small and light, so it's easy to store and move around. The 5011 is beautifully built and very easy to take apart to empty and clean. I use it for an apartment, but I've also used it in a medium sized, two story home and had no problem with the range.

Work perfectly fine. Small house.
It's got strong suction and takes anything. My house is small and so is the vacuum. I only have rugs and mats in my home. The power cord is short but its fine for my house. I don't have the power head also. Don't need it .
I use it about once a week. No problems so far.
No issues so far

Most frustrating and useless vac have ever had
It blows the filter and cover off the moment it's started, so dust is going back into the room. These are fitted in a wheel.
Value for money - a dust buster is less bulky to store so probably a better buy.
Stands on its end too easily.
Too small a dust container.
Maybe suitable for a tiny apartment but not carpeted bedrooms in a house.
Wouldn't bother with Hoover again.

Tiny bagless suitable for hard floors or a tiny apartment
Gave this little bagless a try. It's cyclonic so the suction is quite strong till the perforations in the central tube gets clogged. The motor is only 1000W but it's enough for hard floors or a single room with shallow pile carpet. It only has a 0.6L canister so it's only really good for dust and not for any sizeable items like corn flakes or heavy items like a metal screw. Pretty much empty the cannister after each clean.
It comes with the usual standard head, crevice tool, keyboard attachment? and a hard floor micro fibre like mop attachme...Read more
nt which I found useless. It needs two filters, one for the motor and one hepa which can be bought as a set for $25 but so far you can get away with just washing them for a long while. It is just a like compact vacuum cleaner that easy to stow away and light enough to carry around while vacuuming. Wouldn't pay full retail $300, I am sure you can get it for about $99 when it's on special.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

It's a great machine but......
Fantastic suction. The bulky thing on the handle to hold the attachments gets hooked on whatever you're wearing all the time. It does stand on its end a lot while you're using it which is annoying. The filter on the wheel drops off constantly but the suction is amazing....definitely worth it

terrible could easily live without it!
Very disappointed with this product. Particularly paying $300 not the $99 some others seem to pay. The cord is frustratingly SHORT not something you would discover at the store Barrel is difficult to clean and takes quite some time to clean properly. Bought the turbo head as well thank goodness as the others are quite ineffective. The small brush is USELESS. Does anyone ever read these reviews and use them to improve their product or is it just a place to vent!!!

Best Small Vacuum I've Ever Owned.
I bought this on special at Godfrey's over 3 years ago for $99. One of the wheels on the suction head broke off within about 6 weeks and was replaced by Hoover directly (as Godfrey's customer Service "representative" was not up to scratch and would not replace, even though you could see the wheel was clearly not screwed into the right place to begin with - An oversight in quality control - it happens.) and apart from that I can't badly fault this little beauty!
It is marketed for "small apartments" as it only has a small barrel - But we do o...Read more
ur 4 bedroom home twice before having to clean it out. I wash the grey sponge once a month and the white HEPA wheel filter every 3 months and we have a dog, a cat (both inside/outside animals so they do lose fur and bring in dust) and 2 children on the weekends. This vac does a great job and NEVER LOSES SUCTION for me! It's very quiet, but don't let the small wattage on the motor fool you - This thing grabs everything. Its been great! The only real issues (if you can even call them that) are that I am not a huge fan of the design of the cleaner brush and the pole and hose could be longer (I'm almost 5'8 - But in all honest I've always had these 2 "issues" with every vacuum I've owned.Similar opinion? A cheap vaccume cleaner at a cheap price!
Bought this vacuum cleaner 1 year ago from Godfrey's for $99 on special. Honestly, it's not a terrible cleaner considering its price ($99 that it, not full price). However, there are annoying things about it.
First thing I noticed was the hose is too short, I'm constantly tugging on the cleaner to move on every stroke. Maybe not an issue if your 4ft tall. Then there is its somewhat small barrel which doesn't take a lot of work before it's getting full and when you do clean it out you'll find the suction holes inside the barrel blocked and...Read more
needing to be washed out. Another annoying design is the handle which can't be removed. On other cleaners I could remove the handle at the end of the hose and use the small attachments for cleaning the car in tight sports (under seats ect.) but not on this unit. It's a permanent fitting and great around the house but not in tight spots. Then there's the dusting attachment included which broke at the swivel point, it can be clipped back in but will fall apart as soon as the smallest amount of pressure is applied. I'd like to say that was the only downside but it's not. After just over a years use the vacuum cleaner failed completely and will now not turn on. It is covered by a 2 year warranty but it was enough excuse for me to bin the hole thing and look for a better built brand. Had I payed the rrp of $300 as there site says I'd have been pretty annoyed. Look elsewhere.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

A good unit
Two of the biggest issues we have with vacuum cleaners in our household is their noise and their cleaning ability. Having tried several cleaners over the years we were yet to find one which could meet both of these requirements. After some online research, we were looking at the Hoover and the Miele. We tried both brands in the shop and decided to purchase the Hoover 5011. That was 2 years ago and the unit is still performing as expected. Maintenance is straightforward. I've washed the filters twice in that time - you need a couple of warm days to dry them. The 'axle' holding the small jockey wheel in place regularly comes adrift on ours (possible design fault) but it hasn't detracted from its overall performance.
