No idea. I got mine 3 years ago so I doubt it. There will be a equivalent current model out there at the $200 price point

I would go to Jaycar electronics. If you remove the battery and give them a call they can tell you if they have it in stock. Ebay after that if no success

Hi Maria,
The red button is the on/off button for the handvac.
To release the dust bin you press down the light just below the red button.

I cleaned my vac and waited for everything to be 100% dry. The small detachable vac still works and has suction, but now the roller on the head wont spin and pick up anything. All hair is removed and was working fine before but now nothing.

check in the head that there is not something blocking it, in the bend. we removed a plug of hair and fibres from ours with a wire hook.

How do I clean the HEP filter can I wash it

1 answer
Hoover
Godfrey G.Hoover

Hi Joyce,
We usually advise to dust or tap out the filter, they can be rinsed under running water, just make sure it is 100% dry before putting it back in the machine.
It is also recommended to replace the filter every 6-12 month depending on use.

If you are confident you can open the unit to get to the battery pack. Likely you can order a replacement on line or maybe source from somewhere like Jaycar Electronics. I am assuming it is well out of warranty

Roller has stopped wirking. Solutuion please?

i think if you turn the head upside down you will see the roller is wound around with string or long hair. you can cut it loose with nail scissors and tweezers or you can dismantle the head and remove the blockage then put back together. all vacuum heads need this doing occasionally

My vacuum won't pick anything up. When I use the hand unit, though, it's fine.

I've taken off the head and pulled out any hair that might be jamming it up and I've cleaned the filters the best I can (can I use water to clean it?).

There must be something jamming the flow. Can you try inserting something flexible into the pipe and see if it is visible from the other end? It's not the filter since the hand unit works fine.

If its still in warranty id take it back. You dont want to go jamming too much in there and voiding any chance of getting it fixed

Have had this vacuum for about a year now - it’s started to flick dirt and what looks like small rocks behind the cleaner, it’s especially worse if I lift the head off the floor. Have had this a few times when putting back on charging station, but has got a lot worse recently? I opened the head up & cleared any debris I could find, but there was very little?

I had the same issues with mine. Eventually it stopped working all together. Unfortunately i just dont think they are built to last. I cleaned filters regularly and took out the rotating brush and regularly cleaned that also but never had any improvement. Eventually the rotating brush stopped completely and i lost nearly all suction. I was asked to take it back in store as id only owned it 6months but i didnt bother as it was over an hour away. Maybe if its still under warranty, call the shop you purchased from.

there are 7 ni cad batteries in the unit to replace you need to make a jig up to get the patten right.

To be honest its cheaper to buy a new one.

My question is this. Is the Hoover filter washable?

Peter338

Theyre not supposed to be, thats why they sell replacements. But hey, if its that dirty and you want to find out if its washable, why not do it? Make sure its ultra-dry before using again. If theres no improvement, then do what you're supposed to do in the first place: buy a replacement

Sherry
Sherry

You don't have to be sarcastic. It was a fair question. I didn't know you could buy replacements and quite often these things are washable which means they are sustainable.

Hoover
Godfrey G.Hoover

Hi Sherry,
You can rinse the filters under running water, no agitation, please make sure they are 100% dry before putting them back in the machine.
Please keep in mind that even with rinsing the filter you will still need to replace them around every 6-12 months.
The replacement filter can be purchased through Godfreys.

I have used the unit a few times, probably had it for about a month. Just tonight after vacuuming, i emptied the unit and as i was putting it back together the plastic clip snapped off. Pretty much useless now because that one clips holds everything together.
Will it be covered under warranty? I am very doubtful of this. Also can I replace just that section? Seems silly that i'd have to replace the whole unit because of that one clip.

Ask your supplier or go online to the manufacturer. In the mean time a strong Velcro strap may hold the dust container in place.
