Hi
I am wondering if the2011 eagles are better made than the more recent ones like 2015. Is there any difference between them? I have looked at both for sale and would like to buy one.

Hi, I have just purchased a 2007 Eagle pop top. The front locker nose panel and hatch have discoloured and the hatch appears to have a plastic skin which is bubbling up. Has anyone had this happen and would know what to do to repair it?

We have a 2001 jayco eagle outback. On our first outing all four riser arms dropped to the first section of each arm breaking the door bracket and ending our trip. Luckily we were not in side at the time.
Had it checked out only to be told nothing was wrong with it. He lubricated the springs etc said they were dry and raised and lowered ithe roof half a dozen times but thats it.
Was thinking the winch could be on its wat out?? Any thoughts?
Cheers

We have 2 'poles' that fit vertically between roof and van frame at diagonal corners of van. Assume these are there to stop any chance roof dropping down unexpectedly -
being so if you don't have them to 'jamb' into the corners they should be easy to find or make. Probably worth getting a second opinion on state of the cables, winch and springs tho. All 4 dropping together sounds a little weird!
Yes, i have made up 4 25x25 square tube steel bars with ribber feet to stop the roof from falling. Ive also decided to replace the winch with a new one by jayco and see if they find anything. Yes very weird that all four drop together, thats why i was thinking the winch brake or clutch gave out, not entirley sure how the winch works. Cheers

We have a 2001 jayco eagle outback. 1 solar panel (8kgs) placed off center and siloconed to the roof with corner brackets.
The last stage of the 2 stage riser arms collapsed all four landing or stopping at the top of the first stage part of the riser arm.
Was able to lower the roof the remaing way.
Not sure as of yet what happened but have purchased 4 new riser arms 4 new push rod springs and when these get installed will get all pullys and cables checked and or replaced.
Wouldnt think the extra 8kgs would have an impact. Should i remove the panel and leave off?
Any ideas comments...
Cheers

Hi Me 123, I am no sour, 8 kgs isn't a lot. Call Jayco and ask them.
Cheers.
Asked around 6 jayco dealers in nsw and qld with no succsess. They need to see it, only 1 place offerd a suggestion and that was to replace the riser arms. I am taking it in and geting all lifting parts checked and or replaced.
I agree 8kg is very little weight on top of a already heavy roof, but because i have a some doubt about position of panel on roof i have decided to remove and mount in the center using aluminium angle that run the width of the van. That way the very little extra weight will be evenly distributed and also weight will be on the edge of the van not the roof.

I am having trouble attaching the top of door on my new eagle camper trailer please help?

My experience is the door won't slot up into place if the levels are off skew! Try putting roof down again then looking to level all 4 corners maybe having to reconnect to vehicle? Then winding roof back uptofullheight? Good luck

Have set up camp but can't get door top to fold flat? Any ideas

You might notice a thinner piece of aluminium above the top of the door attached to the canvas. the top part of the door needs to be pushed or pulled. If it's too tight then wind up the camper one click to see if it helps.
You need to be on flat ground and no slope.
Also make sure the flat metal piece at the top of the door is bent in towards the roof before you place it on the lower half of the door... If that makes sense.

We have a 2016 jayco eagle camper trailer. The front bed end fly blows up while driving and looks like it wants to tear off. Is this normal or do we need to fix it to the van?

I see this all the time I'm sure it's safe but if you want fix it with some upolster press studs to secure to the van. They pretty easy to attach.
It's normal but annoying. If you have roof bars you can buy a couple of stretch straps. Does the job on ours.
I agree that it is annoying. I roll the poles up inside and that helps.
