Nice Van, poor workmanship
Jayco provided us a caravan with an excellent layout, great facilities and it was well priced. Jayco need to listen to their customers though as the workman ship on my van was terrible, from the silicon work to small leaks in the bed ends and awning, a pop-top that does not line up, ensuite that still leaks even after being to workshop several times, wheels that scrub as they are not aligned and the list goes on. All little things that a few extra hours and competent workmanship could overcome with a bit more care in the workshop.

great van for the money
Bought our 2008 17.56 second hand from a family that clearly didn't look after it 9( had too much money). We have had a few minor issues with cosmetic things and trim etc but overall we cannot complain about it. It is the model without hard lids and we have been through heavy storms and had no issues with water leaking into bed. (Perhaps its how you put the fly up) i had a new fly made that goes all the way to the ground and we use the space inside like a storage closet for bikes etc. We absolutely love ours and honestly believe some people rea...Read more
lly expect to much from a caravan. Look at the expensive ones they use the same appliances and they still fall apart. Just went to our local van show today and was disappointed in the finish of $80 000 -100000 products. Definitely no better as far as quality control goes.Similar opinion? 17 ft expanda 18 months of use
My Expanda is very satisfactory . we have travelled 19000 ks so far with no breakages .
Connection between areal and tv at poptop end was poorly done as was air con connection at same point.
Front tent accumulates water when it rains
Toilet came away from wall ( i weigh 105 KG)
the above was fixed by east coast RV on gold coast as gold coast jayco never wrote back to me re repairs
Value for money and resale are great
happy expander owner Greg S

Expanda 2014
i bought a new expanda 2014 17-1, if you expect a high quality van beware. Best workmanship i have seen, been on three trips, every one a problem, from water leaks (bed ends to air conditioner) to cracks in hard end covers / roof, fridge handle snapping off, led lights not working. Jayco i give up thank you for your high quality product you promised me when i purchased the van and also the great after service repairs. Purchased van in Sep, had to wait for December for dealer to even look at the problems, and then the van was sitting at dealer f...Read more
or 7 weeks. When i picked up the van i was asked to return it as the problems still aren't fixed, Manger was to call me still waiting 3 weeks now, maybe they 're waiting until the 12 month warranty runs out. Thanks Jayco it's been a delight to save for years and then throw my money away on your product.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Worst workman ship ever, Bought van late last year 2013, after delivery took van on test run within 4 hours of setting up the van a pipe burst in van flooding entire van with over inch of water we were outside van and saw running from out of everywhere from the van, The shower also leaked because it had not been silicone sealed from the factory which also caused water to run through the van. They then took 2 weeks to fix it. Second time using the van over Christmas found further problems the ceiling trims had fallen down from the joints, Starte...Read more
d to use the water tanks and they ran dry even though the water indicators said the tanks were still full, The display panel stops working periodically and then doesn't allow us to use anything in the van, water pump wont work, lights on battery wont work etc until panel decides it wants to work again. It was taken back when we came home in beginning of January, There answer is they cannot find the fault as it works and then doesn't work, It is now 1st Feburary and still no van back with no idea when I will get it back. SO MUCH FOR BUILD QUALITY, I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND BUYING A JAYCO AS THERE BUILD QUALITY IS DREADFUL Poor after sales service brisbane camperland from were I bought the van from said they wouldn't look at it until March Poor after sales considering it is a brand new van, BUYERS BEWARESimilar opinion?
